I have a problem with photo Shop CC: When I try to write a text on top of a photo the screen goes black and flickers?
I uninstalled the progran earlier on today and downloaded it again but the problem is still there.
Happening after purchasing a new computer. Have SSD, 8gb ram, seems to happen more often on large files but will also happen at times opening images.

Using Trial CS6 on Windows8 - the workfield flickers in black. I am not going to continue the trial like this! Frustration with this app that it is so difficult to use. I loved MS Image Composer 1.5!

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe screen flickers when I move the mouse around an open drawing. I just applied the latest patch to Civil 3D 2010. It was not doing this before the patch.
Have Quadro 3500 video card. Updated the driver for that with no change.
Have a Logitech wireless mouse, M310. Up dated the driver for that with effect.
Changed to a wired mouse, no change.
Is there a setting in Autocad where I can set the refresh rate so that it does not refresh while moving the mouse. Or at least slow the automatic refresh rate down?

How can I get it to stop. It is almost impossible to use the text tool. I am using Photoshop cs6 on window's 8.
i have a simple block of text on a PS doc that is supposed to be black (i've checked many times and it's color =000000) but it looks gray on screen and prints gray. i checked opacity. it's 100%. i tried opening a new PS doc to see if somehow the doc itself was messed up, but i have the same problem in a brand new doc. make sure it wasn't a printer issue, i printed some text in MS Word and it got black just fine.

View 10 Replies View RelatedFor my business card design I have white text overlapping an area of very white grey- causing readability issues (insufficient contrast). It looks great apart from this one problem, so I still want to keep my white text and light background and fix it by separating the text and background with a darker drop shadow..
First, I added a black drop shadow to the text- but this was not enough to increase readability (text still looked faded on background as drop shadow was too subtle at 85% opacity, 0.04" blur) so I added a drop shadow to my drop shadow (100% opacity, 0.02" blur + 18% opacity, 0.02" blur). This produced a heavier drop shadow effect for my text as desired but, for some reason, the text came out slightly grey in print (offset run). It seems the drop shadow somehow got printed over the text itself to some extent- turning the white text somewhat grey (and so not looking as clean as intended).
How could this dropshadow bleed into the text happen? Is it to do with the fact I added a drop shadow to my drop shadow? I would have thought that, even then, the text should entirely overlap all of the drop shadow as the text is the top layer in the group.
What can I do to ensure that drop shadow does not print over text in any way in future? Do I have to stick to only one layer of dropshadow-or is there something else I'm missing?
What do I do? Everytime I am working in Photoshop my screen flashes black, and the entire image goes black.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI did put a real photo in the background of my website to fit entire page. So the text of my webpage is black, and sometimes other colors. So what happen is that some times the text is hard to read when it come on top of dark places of the photo (for example hear of people). So i want to adapt the photo to make it more unicolor, more whiten (increase whiteness) so the black text will appear even better.
What tools and filters in gimp that give me this ability to do that ?
I recently switched from Windows Vista to and iMac and I'm trying to edit photos in Photoshop CS6 and it won't let me make changes or edits to the photos stating that it can't allow me "write access" to save the changes? Where is the lock up? Is it in the external hard drive settings? In the camera? In the files themselves?

Previously when I clicked "write keyword tag and properties info to photo" it seemed to just do that. Since the upgrade to mountain lion when I click 'write keyword tag and properties info to photo" it also changes the date the photo was created to the date the info was written to the photo .
How I can get it to write the keyword info *without* changing the date the photo was created?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI had the problem of a Black screen in the LAB mode with the new camera raw (4.4.1.85) and CS3 10.0.1. I am running Windows XP with a RADEON 9000 graphics card. I am finally rid of it.
I right clicked the Desktop then properties. Settings. Advanced. Troubleshoot. I unchecked the option there (but that was not necessary as I added it back later) but what made a difference was to reduced the Hardware Acceleration by one notch. The problem is gone.
I wonder if it is possible to change the name of a file to a text layer automatically. is an example of what I'm trying to do.

I have been watching a lot of how to videos to learn some effects, trying to pull off this one effect. In the end I would like to create an image file that will consist of a gray transparent rectangular box that I can freely write solid text on. I would like to take this image and "drop" it onto other pictures that I have so that it can serve as a description box. I would like whatever my picture is to be my background and then have this gray box file be the foreground so that I don't have to recreate this process for every image I want to add text to, I can instead edit my Transparent gray file with the text I want and then add it to the picture I want to have text.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIve booted my computer up and started Photoshop. i use a second screen, its installed automatically on Mac OSX 1.8. Now, when i drag the file to th second screen, it appears to become black. if i drag it back to my Home-Screen, the content appears. Resizing don't change anything as well as disable the graphic processor on Photoshop.
A second restart solves the issue. but i don't want to restart my machine every time when i work on Photoshop.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm a Creative Cloud subscriber, using Mac OS 10.8.1. For some reason, when I open a raw image in ACR, the adjustment screen displays a black backgrond. Black text on a black background. The slider bars show up, but I can't read the labels, and have to go from memory. I uninstalled and then re-installed Photoshop CS6, tried to find where ACR;s prefs are located so I can try trashing them and so forth - all to no avail.
