I just upgraded my Win7 64 desktop to Win8 pro 64, and now photoshop cs5 is behaving very strangely. Any mouse click operation causes the entire working window to flicker, and the background to cycle between the normal pale gray background, a window full of transparent pixel rectangles, and solid black.
There doesn't appear to be any update from Adobe available within the help menu, so I think I'm up to date on the software.
Is this a known incompatibility between CS5 and Win8 64? I spent hours searching online before I did the Win8 upgrade looking for compatibility information on photoshop cs5 (and the rest of the cs5 master suite) but found very little information.
I bought Adobe creative suit 6 design standard yesterday. when using photoshop, the background canvas flickers and becomes transparent when i do things (zoom, erase, brush)
I have followed the solution of changing the drawing mode to Basic, but it is still an issue and is making photoshop unusable.
Using Trial CS6 on Windows8 - the workfield flickers in black. I am not going to continue the trial like this! Frustration with this app that it is so difficult to use. I loved MS Image Composer 1.5!
Image canvas flickers on windows 8 cannot do any editing already tried the following method what else I can do Have intel i3 processor with latest raphics drivers installed.
I noticed that the display flickers when going back in history using a script (I'm using Javascript), like so :
var docRef = app.activeDocument; docRef.activeHistoryState = docRef.historyStates[docRef.historyStates.length-2];
What precisely happens is the document briefly turns to a checker (the same checker that indicates transparency).
It also happens when using "executeAction" with the action recorded by the ScriptListener. But, it only happens when the function is called from within a script, not when I'm using the history panel.
This is a problem because it makes it a lot harder to see what changed between the two history states.i'm using CS6.
Whenever I use a tool (select, crop, highlight, resizing an image) in CS6, the image flickers. Not my entire screen, but just the background of CS6 and the image. It flickers like a strobe light and makes it very distracting to try and crop, select, do anything in CS6. It's clearly a CS6 problem and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times but it continues to flicker.
I have a problem with photo Shop CC: When I try to write a text on top of a photo the screen goes black and flickers? I uninstalled the progran earlier on today and downloaded it again but the problem is still there.
I have a problem with the cursor in 3DS max 2014. I am using windows 8 and when i hover over the empty spaces in the menus on the right, the cursor flickers between the arrow an the hand.
I'm working on a drawing for a part and am getting annoying flickers from light to dark. What I am seeing happening is that everytime I pan or zoom (in or out) the drawing, the drawing lights up, and remains lit up until I move my mouse cursor over a view. When I do so, the entire drawing turns dark and remains dark until I pan/zoom the drawing again. So I am getting a constant dark - light flicker that I find very distracting.
I am only seeing this in this one drawing, however I do remember having this problem previously. In other drawings I have done, they will either be light (which I correspond to being normal) or the entire drawing will be dark. This I read has to do with the lighting in the source part file, but it never really bothered me.
Im on 2012 Iventor Pro, and Windows 7 Pro. 64bit with SP1.
The screen flickers when I move the mouse around an open drawing. I just applied the latest patch to Civil 3D 2010. It was not doing this before the patch.
Have Quadro 3500 video card. Updated the driver for that with no change.
Have a Logitech wireless mouse, M310. Up dated the driver for that with effect.
Changed to a wired mouse, no change.
Is there a setting in Autocad where I can set the refresh rate so that it does not refresh while moving the mouse. Or at least slow the automatic refresh rate down?
I had to re-install Photoshop CS-5. Now when I try to crop an image, the image flickers between black & the image. Often remains blacked out till I click on the image. Never did this before. Is there a setting that needs to be changed?
Using Civil 3D 2012, windows 7 pro 64, Radeon HD6970 video card.
The pointer flickers when in AutoCAD, especially when in menus, between the arrow and the arrow / waiting circle. Also does this flicker with the cross hairs and the waiting symbol when in the drawing window. Have all the drivers up to date no luck.
Have also tried multiple different pointing devices. Also have several instances where text will not move or allow to be modified until I save and restart the program.
Why can't Windows Explorer show thumbnail previews of DNG's on my Windows 8.1 64bit Pc. I assume is has something to do with not having the DNG codec. However, on Adobe's website it says their DNG codec only works on Windows 7.
This just started happening after I downloaded DWG TruViewer. I am working on LT 2008 using Fusionware on a MacPro. I needed the viewer to convert newer drawings from an architect. Now, when I double click on a drawing in Explorer a separate AutoCad window opens for each drawing I need open. I prefer to just go up to Window>and click on the one I need at that time, especially if I have several to switch between because it is easier to see the file name I want.
SDI is set to 0
Taskbar is set to 0
Relaunched the program
I can't open files using File>Open because the program crashed each time and Autodesk is not issuing anymore fixes for 2008. (Yes, we should upgrade but there is no money budgeted)
Right-click on any .dwg file and go to Properties>General>Change> and select the AutoCad LT launcher as the preferred program
Since I am in Window 7 instead of XP the File Types tab has been removed from Folder Options so I can't fix it that way.
So, why did this change? FYI that stupid TruViewer made lots of unnecessay changes to my AutoCad and Explorer programs that I am still trying to sort out like changing the file icon and hiding the file extensions. Are they trying to make it hard to find files or what?
And next, how can I reset the default so that double clicking on a .dwg in Explorer opens in already open AutoCad window?
AutoCAD LT 2011 has been installed in a Windows XP computer. When logging into this computer using the Windows Administrator Account, all AutoCAD LT 2011 features are available.
But when logging into this same computer using the Windows Limited / Restricted Account, all AutoCAD LT 2011 features are missing. How can we get all the AutoCAD LT 2011 features back using the Windows Limited / Restricted Account?
I have Photoshop CS6 on my Windows 7 laptop, and it works fine. But, for Christmas I received a Toshiba Notebook with Windows 8. I tried the trial of Windows 8 on my other laptop a few months ago, but since it was so new not too many programs worked on it. For instance, my VisTablet didn't have updated drivers for Windows 8. Luckily, they do now, but I'm still having the same problem I did with Photoshop CS6 last time. It starts up, and I can see it in my Task Manager. BUT, it dies. It just shuts itself down. It's there one minute, but then you notice the dropping numbers and then it's gone.
Im trying to have a windowed document always be on top of the main Photoshop window to use it as a guide/reference image and also for extracting colors from it. I know this is possible because I have seen it in a Youtube video.
On a windows 8 system, I cannot load an image to the edit window even though it shows in the layers column. This is a new installation of CS5. Previously I was running CS3 extended with no problems.
I just installed windows 8.1 on a new desktop with Photoshop CS4 with the RAW 5.7 plugin, trying to work on Nikon 300S photo files. I can not open the files and keep getting the following messsage "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document". I am running the same setup on a 6 month old laptop with no problems
My processor is Dual core 1.8ghz and Ram is 2GB.I am not upgrading my pc for now. As i plan to wait and then spend properly for a strong PC. Because upgrading my ram is not possible as mother board does not support it. If i will change motherboard, then more money. So i will wait till hardware update.
Right now, I am using Photoshop CS4 with Windows XP SP2 ( i have sp3 too so this is also option) What i want to know is, if i should upgrade to Windows 7. ( I already have Windows 7 ) So keeping my hardware in mind, Is windows xp is good or Windows 7 will be better. ?
I use photoshop for Web design, graphics for web, sometimes i get brochures and flyers project as well.
My desktop is a windows one and my laptop/ notebook is a macbook pro. I have CS4 Pc version licence.
Just want to know if I can run/ install CS4 ( both PC and Mac ) on my macbook pro ( bootcamp). Can I download the mac cs4 trial version and then enter my serial no to have it work on my macbook pro?
How does one keep the windows / panels always on top? That is, when moving around images within Photoshop, I'd like it so the images are not able to cover up the panels / windows on the right side. I know my CS3 version did this automatically, but I can't seem to find a setting for this in CS4.
I have both Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Elements 6 on my computer. When I click on a .psd file it opens Elements to read it, and I want it to open CS3.
