Photoshop :: Blending Options, Fx, Effects, Copy, CS4
Jun 16, 2009In PS CS4 In my layers palette, I used to be able to have an effect (ex. drop shadow) on a layer & drag that effect onto another layer so the layers would have the exact same effect. In CS4 when I drag an effect, I lose that effect from that layer & it is put on the layer I dragged it to only. It will not let me copy it anymore. Is there some key I should be holding down now? I am wondering what else I will be running into with CS4. Maybe that wizard will pop out & yell at me.

May 28, 2013Photoshop has been crashing on me lately. Glitching. Getting locked in brush mode so I'm unable to click on other options. Not showing brush radius at times etc. It is also opening a "auto recovery" image every time I boot the program which shows as a .psb file that I am unable to find on my computer. Going to the location shown in the save as window seems to not show when I manually go that location on my computer system. I took a screen shot of the file and it's location.

When exporting an image into the External Editor for Nik Color Efex Pro I get the Warning Dialogue (cool) but when I click the tab (to read more) "Copy File Options", it keeps reverting to sRGB as opposed to "ProPhoto RGB" (my desired Space) and something I keep resetting in Preferences> External Editors>Nik... Why???

I'm hoping this will serve as a warning to other professionals to click that tab tpo make sure you are working in "ProPhoto" if that is what you desire. Because once the information is gone, well.....

I repeat that this was not a problem with LR4 and I was having NO problems with my External Editors. So from my computer, my standpoint, a bug has been Introduced.

Jan 14, 2014Recently I downloaded the PSE 9 program from a disk onto my new computer. When I opened it to use I am unable to find under "Organize" the "File", "Edit", "Find", "View", "Window" and "Help" on the upper bar/area. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still do not see those options. I'm just begining to learn about PSE 9, so am new to all this.Â

What am I missing or not doing exactly right that I'm have dificulty trying to view and use the above? I can start to use the program with photos download on my computer, camera or external hard drive.

I want just the text copied not all the properties.

Jan 14, 2011Installed VideoStudio for compatibility with Windows 7. Used mainly for editing out commercials fron television programmes recorded onto DVD. Both single use and re-recordable discs used. Everything worked well though the program is top-heavy for my requirement. Automatic suggestion last week that I install an update. The update failed and the problems started. I can no longer import from DVD. The process appears to run up to 60% then stops. The program then stops responding and has to be closed using task manager. The DVD can only be ejected by re-starting the computer. Tried removing VideoStudio using the clean-up tool and following the regedit instructions. Re-installed but no improvement. Suggested workround by Corel is to copy the vob file from the DVD to the desktop, rename this file as a mpg then import into VideoStudio. This does not work. So at the moment I have un-useable software.

Oct 9, 2013So in the last week or so, my C3D 2014 randomly decided not to copy viewports. It copies the box, but nothing in it. Plus you can't go into model space in the copied viewport.  Just looks and acts like a normal rectangular polyline. But when you check the properties, it still says it is indeed a "Viewport" object.Â
Short of reinstalling the software, any setting that would cause this?

Instead, I have to save that image, open it on Gimp, select all of it, and then I can paste it onto my work document. It's a huge hassle, and I'm sure there's a way I can copy and paste images from the Internet. When I try, it just says there is no image data on the clipboard for me to paste.

I open new drawing, then press Ctrl+Shift+C to copy an object with a base point and then when i press Ctrl+V nothing shows.

Sep 7, 2012I recently upgraded from Autocad 2012 Mechanical. Â Previously, I was able to simply select objects in AC, ctrl-c them, then paste them into Word. Â I am now using 2013 Product Design Suite, with the Vault addin for word. Â I am now unable to do this. Â What I notice is that when I switch to my Word window and paste, there's some unknown process occurring in Autocad. Â Furthermore, what should be an image box with my drawing in Word is a blank box. Â

AutoCAD 2013 :: Can't Find Clipboard Panel / Unable To Copy And Paste
Aug 6, 2012You'd think that being able to copy and paste would be a fairly straightforward task in any piece of software. Not in AutoCAD 2013. The Help file says the commands are located on the 'Clipboard' panel, under the 'Home' tab. I've spent a lot of time searching and can't find them, nor can I find any information about how to turn such a panel on.
This is the sort of thing that shouldn't be a problem in a well-designed piece of software. We're finding AutoCAD 2013 to be almost unusable out of the box, and have to spend ages fiddling with the (clunky) Custom User Interface commands to make it work. Every time AutoDesk bring out a new version of AutoCAD it seems to get even worse. I could resort to keyboard commands, but shouldn't have to. I'm starting to think the best solution would be to invest in a copy of Vectorworks instead.
