i am currently on a trial for CS6 CC version on Windows 8 but every time i try to liquify an image all that happens is a blank grey screen. The weird thing is i can click and edit the area of the grey screen and if i click OK to finish the liquifying it has edited the image! Why can i not see my image whilst in the liquify screen? I've tried to change all the settings and stuff but still nothing?

"Liquify is capable of utilizing the Graphics Processor on RGB files to increase performance. The color mode you have chosen will not utilize the Graphics Processor."
If I click OK and continue, the image is just blank inside Liquify. It used to work just fine. I am in ProPhotoRGB colour space.
I'm trying to use the Liquify filter and the Liquify screen is too big. I can't reach the "Show Backdrop" option at the bottom. What do I do? I'm trying to work through a tutorial that requires that.
On a related note, how to make one thing in the shape of another? Say I want to make a mouse in the shape of a Tyranosaurus. How would I do that? That's similar to what I'm trying to do here.
I am using the CS6 trial in order to decide if I want to switch over from CS4. When I try to use liquify, I get a teal screen with a few light spots that are vaguely in the shape of the image. If I select a tool it does not show up over the image, only around the edges. I've heard that CS6 liquify requires significantly better graphics than previous versions. Is my computer simply incapable of handling the new version? I realize that my computer is not ideal for image editing, and I try as much as I can to work in the maclab at school, but both of these computers were able to handle CS4.

At the same time that little picture in the layers tab showing a small version of the picture Ive opened is clearly visible and changes if I draw on the big one. View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having this issue with the new PS CC. It happens whenever I try to add/edit a text. Pick the text tool, click onto the work and -- bang! -- the whole work screen gets blank. Depending on the project size it may get stable at a certain ammount of zoom and keep blinking (or go completely blank) at other zoom factors. If I finish text editing the screen gets back to normal. Funny is that if I type something, it will be there, so the problem seems to be with the viewport.
PS: Currently I am going to download and install back the CS6 version as the issue reported above does not happen with it.

I start to drag around an area to make a selecton, and the screen goes blank so that I can't see where I'm making the selection. When I release the mouse, the image appears again. Another problem which may be related is that sometimes when I zoom in, the screen goes blank. Closing Photoshop and re-launching it usually fixes the problem, but is an annoying time-waster. I have the most current update from the Cloud for Photoshop CS6, 13.1.2.X64.

I have several hundred CorelDraw files with various images and design that I use for printing for our business.
Recently I have opened files to discover either blank or black screen in the CorelDraw file. I can use Object Manager to see that the image and text are still present, but I cannot view it. I can also export the image to a PDF even though I cannot view it. Other files open without any issue. One file opened fine and then when I went to cut an image the file turned black and is now in the same condition as other files with the problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I attempt to marquee select (click-hold and drag a box) in Viewport 2.0, the viewport becomes a blank white screen and instead of drawing a box my mouse draws a single thick line. When I release the mouse, the viewport will not return to normal until I move the camera. It actually does perform the selection that I would expect. However, not being able to see what I'm doing is a bit of a pain sometimes.
The irony is that it actually works fine in default and high quality modes, but I'm not able to use those because the transparency sorting is really wonky and doesn't let me see what I'm trying to work on from the angles that I need. Only Viewport 2.0 solves that problem.
I just installed Smoke Ext 1. I noticed that all of my source files on an existing job, that are H264, don't show up...they just have a black screen with audio.
Is H264 not compatible with Smoke?

This works perfectly for quickly assessing brightness and contrast of pictures.
In pse 10 however I could not find any button to change the preset lightgrey background colour to darkgrey.
