View 5 RepliesI use PS CS6 for Windows. When I select a layer by mean of Ctrl-Click on layers palette, selection edges is not shown. When I go to menu View > Show > Selection Edges i realize that option is disabled.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know how to blend selection edges of a selection in Gimp 2.8.2, but if I have only one side of a selection that needs blending, what should I do?
Lets say that I have a grey box on a black background and only want to blend the left vertical edge into the background.
When I use the square selection tool, the selection edges are rounded rather than square. I can't remember how to rset this.
How do you make the edges square by default?
In using the selection tool that encompasses the part of the photo with a selection doted box ,it takes several attempts for it to work. It stops intermediately before i lift my finger off the button ? I am using the newest Paintshop Pro x5 W/Win 7.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe are using AutoCAD Architecture 2013 on machines running Windows 7. When multiple AutoCAD drawings are open on most machines in the office the icon in the Windows Toolbar shows multiple stacked AutoCAD images, and when you hover over those icons, all of the open drawings appear in thumbnail across the bottom. (This is a very nice feature!)
Unfortunately one machine in the office is not doing that with AutoCAD. That machine will show multiple icons and thumbnail previews for PDFs, Word files, etc., but not AutoCAD. Is there a setting that can be changed to make the thumbnail drawings for ALL open drawings appear when hovering over the icon in the Windows Toolbar? (That computer will show a thumbnail preview of the active drawing, but not all open drawings.)
The problem is: the view cube doesn't respond and the navigation pane/tool/group doesn't respond either. If i click on any of the tools it doesn't register in the command line.
The view cube stops working after some amount of time (or clicks) regardless of what I've been doing. If I switch to another drawing the view cube works fine there. If I close the (not working) drawing and open again it works fine.
The views under view work.
I am not getting any nice blending from the edges of the car to the background. When selecting I use 1 pix feather, but I still get jagged edges. Is there a way of make the edges look more blended in with background?
I changed the color of the car, added a carbon fibre pattern ect, ect.
I've been downloading some families from seek. Each time I download, I open the family and then load it into the current project. Well, during the load into current project, the view switches from Level 1 New (the active view before the family load) to Level 1 Existing, the first view in the project. Is this intentional or a bug?

See attached screen shot.
After upgrading to Inventor 2014 we notice that the graphics do not work properly, and that the overall performance in drawings and modelling bad compared to 2013. Then we installed SP1 and now drawing views are disappearing, however when we select "shaded" view the view reappears and works perfectly..
Any workaround regarding disappearing views?
Im trying to get used to using Quick Select and Refine edges to mask out objects in my photos.
It works pretty well but Im still having trouble in some spots getting the edge to be a smooth curve.
How do you get the refine edge function to allow you to modify its edge so you can have a perfectly smooth edge?
Ive tried using the Refine Radius Tool and it just doesnt smooth it out completely.
Everytime I try to cut something it says
"Warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible."
I create a drawing of an iPart, while doing so I have the iPart model open in the background. When placing a view on the drawing the active factory member is the default option, I have a bad memory so forget to tell Inventor that actually I would like to use a specific iPart member in this particular drawing view. I then spend a long time laying out and dimensioning the drawing. When complete, I create a second sheet and copy all information from sheet 1 onto sheet 2. I then double click on the main drawing view and change the model state to an alternative factory member. At this point I realise that the drawing on sheet one is based on the active factory member and start swearing.
The result of changing to a different member when the existing drawing is based on the active member is that ALL DIMENSIONS DISSAPEAR FROM THE DRAWING AND HAVE TO BE PAINSTAKINGLY REPLACED. At this point I will usually REDRAW SHEET 1 so that further sheets can be created quickly in the future by selecting an alternative factory member.
can I change the software defaults somewhere in the setup to prevent the 'active factory member' being displayed as an option in the first place?
Is there a way to permanently turn on "view layer edges" in CS6? How about a way to bring back the arrange icon that was in the menu bar in CS5?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAny way to see a bounding box for each group? So if we were to do a select all we can see edges for every line & a bounding box around the whole selection but what would be nice is to see a different color bounding box around each group that is selected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince Edge only has rectangles and ellipses built in as available shapes, how to I/we work with polygon shapes and active mouseover areas INSIDE of these shapes and non-active mouseover areas OUTSIDE of the shapes?
Problem/symptom: when I import a polygon, be it any file format from from Photoshop or SVG from Illustrator, a rectangular border/background (transparent) gets applied, leading to this rectangle defining the mouseover area of the shape - and not the shape itself (be it a star or whatever).
WHAT I WANT: the very shape defines the mouseover area. How do I achieve this?? See examle below:
WHAT I DON'T WANT: how is is now:
Selection layer edges of a particular wall,
It is really exhaustive when it comes to select an edge of a layer of a wall. For example, if we need to align a column in the wall in the correct space, we need to select the corresponding edge of layer of the wall (indicated in the screenshots below). It really takes time just to select this edge (hovering + TAB).

I have a button with the following actions:
click:
sym.play(2000)
;mouseover:
var mySymbolObject = sym.getSymbol("Guns_Nav")
;sym.$("Guns_Nav").css({opacity:.3});
mouseout:var mySymbolObject = sym.getSymbol("Guns_Nav")
;sym.$("Guns_Nav").css({opacity:1});
I cant figure out how to add 3rd action on my button, to show an active state (basically freeze the buttonts opacity until the next button is clicked) while this portion of the stage is being visited.

Same pc being used that has photoshop 7 on and that prog runs fine, or at least as it should do... Have checked prog settings and couldn't find anything obvious. Have also tried changing vista visual settings to no avail..
I have observed an unexpected behavior of mouse wheel zooming in CS3:
using the mouse wheel: when i zoom in (very closely) to some location near the image edges/corners and then zoom out /once/ (i.e. one mouse wheel "click"), the image zooms out and simultaneously the viewed region jumps a little towards the image center. this is kind of annoying since one has to move the image to see the desired location after zooming out a little.
At the begenning I was thinking that it was just to RMB and select show hidden edged in my drawing but in fact not.
The model look like this :
And in the drawing I have some missing lines :
I tried to display the missing part in a separate drawing and it's OK.
I use Inventor 2011.
I have a vertical (rectangular) photo that I have pasted into a square canvas. I am looking to expand the photo to the edges of the canvas in a specific way: I want to stretch the edges of the photo (not the whole photo) such that the closer the photo edge is to the edge of the canvas the more stretched it is.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to export from an Inventor .dwg or .idw made up of various views (either made from an Inventor .ipt or .iam) to an AutoCAD 2000 or later .dwg, and have the objects modeled in the Inventor .ipt/.iam that is shown in these views to already be shown as blocked entities when the AutoCAD .dwg is created. Also it is important to have the scale be exactly 1:1 from the Inventor drawing to the AutoCAD drawing that is created, so that no resizing/scaling is necessary. Is it possible to create such an AutoCAD 2D drawing from any release of Inventor and if so, what are the steps/procedure for making it???
I know that the solid model of an .ipt or .iam can be made to show blocked edges that appear as a block so why not two steps further and have this capability translate through to an .ipt or .iam Inventor drawing to a save copy as AutoCAD drawing???
I am having issues with 3D Realistic/Conceptual Views in model space. Basically I will be working on a drawing and everything works fine when I switch to 3D realistic & conceptual modes and orbit - view looks perfect. Then a few days or maybe 10 minute later I do it again and the hidden edges suddenly are visible through 3D solids & the view looks awful. I have attached a screenshot of this issue and from reading a number of forums it appears that I am not alone in experiencing this, however I have not found a resolution. I am concerned that it could be my Graphics card but given that it is an nVidia Quadro FX3800 that is supposedly designed for ACAD I would be pretty upset! URL....
On the left is the problem in realistic view - on the right I have copied this into another file and on some drawings this fixes the issue - on some others I have to delete some background floorplans. It might be linked to the size of the drawings - I work on airport terminals so my drawings have floorplans of hundreds of meters...
Is there any way to have Tangent Edges to show within all view's created on my idw automatically within the my template file or do I have to remember to double click on each of my created views per page, select display options and make sure Tangent Edges are checked on.

I am trying to select single color areas in the picture and paint them with different color. There are quite some of these areas in the picture, which is a problem for me. I have been using Magic Wand tool (with Shift click) to select all these areas with same color but I am not able to paint these selected areas with "one click".
Now I need to use Pain Bucket tool maybe 100 times to paint all the individual selected areas one after another. Is there way to paint the whole active selection at once?
I can't get the cable to show up in any drawing views.
View 3 Replies View Relatedeasy way to show the user the polygon/fence they are creating when Editor.SelectXX is called by indicating it with a dashed line and coloring the area with a semitransparent fill, kind of like when you use the AREA command or when you click somewhere and AutoCAD shows you the selection window you're creating?
