Photoshop :: CS5.1 Shows No Update Available?
Sep 10, 2012I am using Photoshop CS5.1 on my Mac Pro. I keep hearing about CS5.5, but when I check for updates, nothing is offered. What is Photoshop CS5.5? Does it exist?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Browser Shows Everything But No Model Shows Up On Workspace Screen
Jul 20, 2012It was working fine. Â Then I just did a simple command (pattern a part) and the entire workspace blinked out. Â The first time it happened I hit UNDO and it was back. Â So I got out of the drawing and got back in and tried the pattern again. Same issue but this time when I hit UNDO it would not come back. Â I closed the file without saving and when I went back in the file the workspace is still nothing but white screen. Â In the browser everything is still visible except for those that I had already changed to invisible. Â I tried making an invisible to visible and nothing happened. Â I got out and tried opening the "old version" which should've been before any of this happened and it is also blank. Â I can go to an ipt or iam in the browser and hit open and it will open in another screen just fine. Â I just can't see my main assembly. Â I have Inventor 2012. Â It shows no errors or messages. Â I have even rebooted. Â
I looked thru the forum and found a past issue back in 2005 identical. Â I tried doing Find in Window on an item in the browser but for some reason that option is not even in the list when I right click.

adobes says the final ACR 7.2 update is available through the CS6 update.well that is of no use when you have offline computers. This update will be released as manual update file too?! any infos?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Material Favorites Does Not Update When Update Materials
Dec 9, 2013I made a change to my materials library. Â I changed the color (from dark grey to light grey) of one material. Â I then saved this back to my library.
Now, when I start a new part, I get a warning that the material does not match the library. Â So, rather than using the material in the part, I opened the template and updated the material to match the library. (Manage >Update Styles).
This is where the problems come into play. In the update styles dialog, if I compare materials against my custom materials and then compare it to my Favorites, it just a continuious circle. Â It is like the favorites are stored inside the part and do not get updated to match the custom materials library. (I thought the whole idea behind using a library was to get the information out of the parts).

The only way I can get the favorites to match is to delete the favorite material, update the style and the add the favorite back in. Â That is a bunch of work. Â The problem I got with this is that there are thousands of parts that have been created that has this favorite in it. Â The only way to update these is to open each part (if I knew which one), delete the favorite, update the materials and then add the favorite back in.
I see the same thing in 2013 and 2014.

Nov 21, 2013I am wondering if it is possible to do a style update (or style update check) upon open of a drawing?Â
The example would be that I have stuff made from way back that the colors/dimension sytles ect dont match the current standard and upon opening a file where they are not current, it would either prompt to update immediatly OR update automatically with no prompting (preferred method).
I am doing a massive amount of updates from old files recently and to save myself 1 - 3 clicks per drawing would be wonderful.

Dec 18, 2012Just installed acr7.3 and cs6. I have previously saved jpgs but wanted to play with POSSIBLE settings in the new ACR. Ok so I make some changes and only say DONE.. I do not open and resave. Going back to Bridge.. the preview now shows me the 'new' acr tweaked version and that jpg will NOT open in CS6 again without going through bridge to apply the tweaks I made.

Problem is, the jpg itself is still saved the OLD way and I want that version back. How do I get the bridge to show the saved jpg that I have, once I play with it in acr??
Photoshop :: Slide Shows To Music
Jun 27, 2009I'm trying to buy some software that you can build a photo slideshow on (that's the easy bit), but the one main feature I want is the ability to tick a box and the photos change in time with the beat of the music. Now before one of you clever people suggest that most softwear does this..... they don't. What most of them do is change the duration of your slideshow to match the length of your selected music, so they all end together. I want that, but also want the photos to move and change to the 'beat' of the track. I know that I could do this manually on a timeline, but this is very time consuming and hence the ticky box option,

Jul 18, 2009I am using Photoshop CS4 and I have a Canon Pixma MP160 printer. I go through a company, GotPrint.com, to print all my brochures and business cards but it seems what I send them is never what actually prints out. I understand that LCD monitors show a different display, being RGB instead of CMYK?? but how do I match it close enough? I have been trying to print out my new brochure on my printer at home until I get it to print the colors I want - but it's a huge hassle & a major ink cost changing all the colors (mostly brown for some reason) to look good printed even though it looks terrible in photoshop.
I've tried setting it in the print window to Photoshop Manages Color instead of printer. In the profile drop down I was told to select one with my printer name in it instead of working CMYK profile. But I have about 10 different ones and none of them say CMYK or anything special.
Should I use InDesign instead?

Jun 2, 2013Since today i've gotten some problems with CS6..When i import an NEF file into photoshop some photo's suddenly get some black area's.On bridge or Gimp the photo's are how they should be... but in photoshop i'm getting this:

If i change the channel mode from 8bit to 32bit it looks just fine... but i cant edit anything..It will probably be an setting i've missed or something.. but i'm really stuck, i cant finish my pictures in photoshop!

Photoshop :: CS5 Shows Colors Incorrectly On CintiqUX21
Aug 15, 2012When viewing images or documents on the Cintiq they display the same colors as on my main monitor. But when I draw something in Photoshop the colors are more saturated. This is especially noticeable when I undock the working space and drag it on my main monitor.

Testing with a rainbow gradient I can see that relative to my main monitor the purple gets darker and the blue gets stronger; almost turning into a solid bar rather than a gradient. The green also gets slightly lighter.
Photoshop :: Color Picker Only Shows Grey Outside Of Doc
Aug 21, 2013I recently had to get a new computer and reinstall Photoshop, I also did the update. Now when I use my color picker outside of Photoshop, it only pulls up a grey color, not the actual color I am sampling.
It works fine within the Photoshop document but now when sampling outside of it. Was this the update that messed up this functionality? Or is there a setting I need to set. All my preferences are the same from my old to my new computer.

May 30, 2012I was working in Photoshop CS6 and I must of accidentally clicked on something. My layers palette went from showing me a picture of what was in each layer to only showing a brush in every layer. Now I can't see which layer is what.

Jun 20, 2008my CS3 Extended (ENG ver. ) stopped open any file (new, photos, files any format...).
The CS3 shows error when I try to open any file. After that windows XP closes the application Sometimes CS3 opens small .jpg but very, very slow (1MB last about 3 min).
Yesterday I did reinstalation but without results.

Jan 15, 2009when I opened up a picture I had drawn to start colouring it, it was being displayed in wrong colours.
It seems to be lighter and has more yellow and red in it.
I dont recall changing anything.
This is only how the image is displayed though when you look at it on photoshop. Because after you save it, you can open in in paint or whatever and its back to its original colours.
If i start a brand new picture from scratch, and then save it and open it up in another programme the picture is significantly darker and bluer.
So I think it has something to do with the way that photoshop is viewing the picture.
