InDesign :: Photo With Drop Shadow Shows Canvas Lines
Mar 19, 2014When I place a .psd picture in INDD 5.5 and do a drop shadow, the resulting pdf shows the outline of the canvas as a thin line. It doesn't show when the picture has no shadow. How can I get rid of the lines?

When electricity turned off, my computer shut down then I turned on it and opened the PSD again but there was only one locked layer filled in black and no other layers. Layer > Underneath is a layer with just an orangey box on white.
I want a cat on the orangey box, with a shadow, all on a white background.
Having applied a drop shadow to the mask layer, it goes on the background which I don't want.

Feb 17, 2012When I drag and drop psd file from Bridge on open document it ends up in the document as smart object. When I drag and drop psd file from Bridge on the toolbar it opens the file with all the layers.
I know that I can access the layer by double-clicking on smart object. I know that I can drag and drop multiple layers from one file into another.
But I have limited use of any of the above functionality (except as intermediate step) - what I need is to drag and drop all the layers from one psd file into another right from Bridge, without opening the file first, is there a way to do it?

Apr 15, 2013I am having a problem in CS6 Photoshop where I never experienced this in CS3-5.
I am designing a website and when I apply a drop shadow or inner shadow to a layer through layer style/blending options in the layers tab. It applys the same angle etc.. to all the other layers I have done styles too...
I will have 5 + layers done with styles and I will make a new layer and give it a shape, open up blending options and when I do a drop shadow and change the angle I literally can see everything on my layout change angles also when I move it around for just ONE layers style... What on earth is going on? This makes it impossible to make unique designs unless I keep flattening my PSD and transfering stuff over which destroys workflow.

Sep 5, 2012I was working on a drawing file when my ribbon went haywire. My layer drop down seems frozen so it only shows the current layer and the hatch edit ribbon does not function properly.
The issue with the layer drop down is if I select a line, fill, etc. on any layer the layer drop down on the home ribbon does not change to show the layer that item is on and if I select multiple items on different layers which usually causes the drop down to go blank it still shows the current layer. The object color, line thickness and linetype all change on the properties tab to show the properties of the selected item so the entire home ribbon is not frozen. If I scroll through the layer drop down and select a layer to move the selected item to a new layer AutoCAD responds *Invalid selection* Expects a point or Window/Last/Crossing/BOX/All/Fence . . .
The hatch edit ribbon is completely useless. The angle and scale boxes are greyed out and if I select any of the buttons (Set Origin, change hatch pattern, etc.) AutoCAD again responds with *Invalid selection* . . .
The only CUI shown is the ACAD.CUIX and I have done a Reset and Restore, changed the workspace, restarted AutoCAD and restarted my computer. What am I missing?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Browser Shows Everything But No Model Shows Up On Workspace Screen
Jul 20, 2012It was working fine. Then I just did a simple command (pattern a part) and the entire workspace blinked out. The first time it happened I hit UNDO and it was back. So I got out of the drawing and got back in and tried the pattern again. Same issue but this time when I hit UNDO it would not come back. I closed the file without saving and when I went back in the file the workspace is still nothing but white screen. In the browser everything is still visible except for those that I had already changed to invisible. I tried making an invisible to visible and nothing happened. I got out and tried opening the "old version" which should've been before any of this happened and it is also blank. I can go to an ipt or iam in the browser and hit open and it will open in another screen just fine. I just can't see my main assembly. I have Inventor 2012. It shows no errors or messages. I have even rebooted.
I looked thru the forum and found a past issue back in 2005 identical. I tried doing Find in Window on an item in the browser but for some reason that option is not even in the list when I right click.
Photoshop :: ACR Disappeared!
Nov 10, 2008I've recently been dealing with problems related to the startup Reading Preferences in which I deleted/hid/moved preference files to solve the long lagtime it took to startup. Problem solved but was unrelated to the Preferences files.
Now it seems I've lost ACR. Whenever I've tried to open Olympus Raw files (OCR) either in Bridge or Photoshop (CS2) I get a window saying "could not complete your request as it is the wrong kind of document" ! The OCR thumbnails still show up in Bridge and PS so it's not like the raw files have lost the ACR association. And I see the ACR plugin is still in the Files folder (C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobePlug-InsCS2File Formats)

Photoshop CS5.1 Settings file still has an Actions Palette.psp file in it. I have shut down and rebooted many times without success. What I can do to get these actions back? I'm hoping it’s a matter of pointing Photoshop back to my preferences some how. I don't have to recreate all of my custom actions from scratch.

Sep 26, 2013Suddenly, out of the blue, the saving as options for jpeg, pdf, and a ton of other options have disappeared from my Photoshop CS 5.1 (both for 64-bit and 32-bit). They used to be there. I have run updates and even uninstalled and reinstalled the program and still they are gone. I have to open projects in other programs in order to convert them. I can't work like this. where I can get the file or whatever it is that has disappeared in order to get this working again?

Aug 10, 2008from several directories in cs3 bridge. the files are still there, and can be opened randomly, by simply clicking on the blank bridge screen. This is only a recent problem with three of the many directories of image files. Preferences are all set the same, and the files show up in explorer. None of the attributes are set to "hidden"?
