I was working in Photoshop CS6 and I must of accidentally clicked on something. My layers palette went from showing me a picture of what was in each layer to only showing a brush in every layer. Now I can't see which layer is what.
I've tried Googling a fix but I can't find anything. Here is what it now looks like. I want each layer to show me what is actually on that layer.
Just starting to use 2014, and so far not so good. I tend to keep the Properties Palette open and docked. In 2014, if my current layer is 0, any object I select in a drawing shows as Layer 0 in the Design tab of the Properties palette. If I change to a different layer, any object selected shows that layer in the Properties palette. If I start a new drawing, enter WALLADD and draw a wall segment, the A-WALL layer now correctly appears in the Layer Manager, but when I select the wall, the Layer in Properties is the current layer, not the A-WALL layer it should have gone on. Also, Quick Properties is on, but doesn't pop up anywhere.
View 5 Replies View RelatedUsually I can click a took and thats the end of it...if I want to show hidden I have to click the little arrow or something of that nature. Now when I click a tool it automatically opens up the hidden tools menu, which makes it very annoying to select tools because I've then got to click it in the hidden menu to select it.
Also performing things such as double clicking hand tool to show an image full screen don't work becuase as soon as I click the hand tool once it opens up the hidden tools menu and won't allow me to double click it. I've tried resetting to defaults and even checked my wacom/mouse settings...cant figure out what the issue is.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit, Photoshop CS6 13.01
I know I've seen this before but I can't find the answer. I cannot see the circle in the brush tip only a crosshair.

I clicked on define brush and pressed ok, and this must have been the cause of the problem because immediately after I pressed ok the palette faded, and I wasn't able to scroll down or select any of my brushes anymore and haven't been able to since.
I've tried resetting the brushes, restarting Photoshop (I have version 7.0 by the way) and restarting my computer,
Suddenly my CS2 has started to act up. First, after opening a file and start to do a background erasing, the brush shows up as crosshairs.
after a brief time of working with those limitations, when I click on the downdown menus, they get highlighted, but nothing drops down. If I try to close the file or the program, all I get is a warning "ding".

How can I select a shape on a layer in PSD in the layers palette?
In my past version of PSD, I was able to simply click on the Layer and hold either select or control to have marching ants go around my image - but with CS2 I am not able to do that.
I know how to make rounded corners. But the background has color and shows the square corners of the palette.

the circle that outlines the size of the brush has disappeared, so all i have is the little + sign.
i tried cntr+alt+shft at start to reset it, but its still the same.
I'm using PS CS2. 'How to make a dotted line brush in Photoshop', it describes how to do this. It shows a brush palette that I can only assume is an older version (attachment 'Palette B.pdf'), because it is showing a spacing slider that mine doesn't (attachment 'Palette A.pdf').

View 5 Replies View Relatedn CS3 I could change the size of thumbnails to be large, but in CS5 it only allows me to do that from the upper bar (left side top). I can barely see the brush imags on the palette (right side). How do I change them also? Here are the two screenshots showing how dramatically different the sizes are. In CS3 I could adjust them with the down arrow on the palette, but that option is not available on CS5. (See 3rd and 4th screenshot of cs3 versus cs5.) CS3 has "large thumbnail option).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI noticed that the history brush screenshot taken from the fly-out menu (instead of from the camera icon at the bottom of palette) doesn't work. History brush only works if you use the camera icon at the bottom of the history pallette and then select "current layer" for your snapshot from the drop down menu which shows up after you press the camera icon.

I noticed that my layer palette is missing something, I dont know its name (the one encircled in red).
My current layer palette...
How can I turn it back on? What setting should I changed?
I run two different PC's w/ PS 7.
On one, in the Layers palette, next to the "eye" that turns layers on and off, a thumbnail image shows for each layer making it very easy to identify the layer you are working on.
On my other PC, the thumbnail is not there.
What setting must I change? How do I turn that thumbnail on?
When creating a new layer using the icons in the adjustments palette and holding ALT in CS5 a dialog box would appear before creating the new layer. At this point you could rename the layer change the blending mode etc.
In CS6 I do not get the dialog box to appear the new layer is just created. I've tried to reset my preference twice and this has not work.
The Photoshop CS6 Info Palette is not showing before and after in Grouped Adjustment Layers. It only shows the after values on both sides of the Palette.

I am using ACAD2004. The toolbar properties manager shows all elements in layer 0 but on the working area the color and line type, line weight selections are not present.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I added a layer mask to a layer, it would display in the palette as the alpha channel, which was very handy. Now, when I add a layer mask, it only appears as the mask icon; i.e., gray square with white circle in the middle. I have no clue what I did to change from the one to the other, but I would certainly like to get the alpha representation back!
