When I open a file, it will also normally appear as layer in layer-palette.
When I open a second file next to the 1st and try to move item from that file to 1st file, it can not be done.
I can move the item in it´s own file but I can´t drag it to another file.
Layers do not merge under one window but stay in their separate windows.
I added a flash animation as an overlay track but cannot get it to extend further than the original animation length, I am trying to have the animation as a background throughout the video.
Selecting or filling a region of non-uniform color is a common need. Adjusting tolerance is one approach, but I find that it is often problematic. Sometimes you have to play with the tolerance to get the right value. (New paint bucket features described for 4.0 should work with this.) Other times there is no single tolerance value that will give the desired results.
I wish that the paint bucket would simply behave like a real paint bucket in the sense that I could drag it through adjacent regions to fill them all with the same color value. This would give the same result as clicking in each of these regions in turn, but it would be faster and easier, especially in cases involving small or narrow bands of color that are difficult to distinguish visually. I come across such situations frequently. The same thinking would apply to the magic wand.
I imagine accomplishing this by perhaps holding down Ctrl or some other modifier key as I do my dragging. This would not interfere with expected behavior by people who have trouble clicking without moving the mouse.
In my Adobe Premire Pro CS6 project, When I select a clip that I want to drag down into the editing section it only allows me to drag the video and NOT the audio. I need both video and audio and it wont let me, I don't think I clicked anything wrong but
I am doing a project in Photoshop, and the only thing that is throwing me off is the font. I have the correct font (it was provided), however, I am completely clueless as to how to extend the legs of the A and the G.
I recently had a photoshoot where we used a bed sheet behind my family subject. In a particular picture, the bedsheet was below their heads and it's distracting. I want to extend the fabric to fill in the gap at the top.
I use Photoshop Elements on a Mac and I would like to know how to extend a photos edge so that they sort of fade into nothing. I hope I am explaining it ok!
Just to make sure you have enough info! I have a picture of a bridge and I want to keep the picture itself whole but extend the canvas by a certain length and then let the picture sort of fade into the extended canvas.
Any ideas anyone please. I wish I could find a picture to demonstrate but I can't, I have just seen the technique.
How can we extend the timeline duration to more than 10 seconds in Photoshop cs6 extended for a 3D object layer? It seems you can not make it longer than 10 seconds. Other layers can be made longer.
I’m trying to make a 3D text video intro in Photoshop CS6. It seems like the default time line is only 10 seconds long. Is there any way to extend the duration of the time line?
Basically, it was a way of extending the canvas size using the edge information of the image. The reason I am looking for it now is that I imagine it'd be a good way of creating a gallery wrap section for a canvas print, taking the edge detail and reproducing it. If you are not sure what I mean, have a look at this image on my blog. It's the technique I'm talking about. I have access to CS3 or CS4.
I've been using a very old version of Photoshop for the last 10 years and I'm used to using the shift key to extend a line or paint stroke. By that I mean, I use the paint tool to make a dot and then hold down the shift key and make another dot elsewhere and that creates a straight line. I just purchased CS6 and that function doesn't seem to be happening. Is this something I need to activate in a preference?
I need to create an animation sequence in Photoshop cs6 longer than 5 seconds. In previous versions the length of each video layer could be extended easily. Now it appears you need to make each video layer a maximum of 5 seconds. Document settings doesn't resolve this problem. I've found out how to extend the timeline but, crucially, not the length of individual video layers beyond 5 seconds. I believe CS5 and previous versions had this enabled.
Just picked up this Extendscript for a quick utility function. I can't seem to use any of the "usual" Javascript logic contstructs to test for undefined object properties.
Example:
typeof(app.activeDocument) === "undefined"
This is an *error* in Extendscript (Error 1302: No such element). I don't believe it should be, but if I'm supposed to do something different in Extendscript.
I want to use this pic for my phone wallpaper. I tried to enlarge it but the quality drops really bad. It needs to be 960x800. Is it possible to extend the top part of the picture to make it more "square" without cropping the width?
I want to clone/copy out a background to extend a pictures width.
So far I have: -Lassoed a selection of the background and copied it out - but wierd shading marks were left in the final result (I guess due to shade descrapancies) -Merged all the copy layers so I could treat them as one. -Use the Stamp Tool to clone from a perfect area of the original background but the Stap tool is again creating weird shading lines as I use it (ie, doesnt look like its apply the exact color I sampled from) (I tried narrowing the Stamps Master Diameter also but still got weird results..)
The Stamp tool doesnt seem to be working how I thought it would work. What am I missing?!
I'm trying to extend the edges of a number of images to give myself extra bleed room for print. The images have bits that are a little too near the edge and I need more room. The effect I'm looking for is repeating the final edge row of pixels for 1/8 of an inch beyond the original image on all side.
The obvious solution, manually repeating the row of pixels is too time consuming for the number of images I need to format.
The solution would have been simple if the imbeciles at adobe hadn't moved the "extend edges" option to the Oh-So-Useful auto lens correction tab in the lens correction filter. (how I HATE thee, Adobe)... Alas, I'm using CS5 and need an alternative solution.
I am trying to get a window (dynamic block) in a wall. Short Window.jpg I can get it to rotate to the axis of the wall. I can get it to fit the thickness of the wall. I am darned if I can get it to fill the full 2m allocated (upper solid line).
It seems a window can only be 1.5m wide, but that seems a bit odd. How di I control this?
My stairs won't extend up to second floor. I am using Revit 13 and have created many stairs in past with other models. I have tried stair by sketch and stair by component but they keep stopping about 2 feet short of the floor drawing a standard U shape.
I have a book cover which I am preparing for printing...I have been told I have to extend the boundary of the artwork for 3mm to allow room for trimming (bleeds). I would like to copy 3mm from the edge of the existing artwork and paste all around the edge of the artwork to extend the boundary by 3mm but GIMP won't let me do this.
I moved to a new PC the other day and have not been able to extend or trim to a line that is not connected. I figured it would be an apparent intersection but maybe I haven't got my settings right as it's not working. I am having to drag the lines right now and it's not very accurate!
how to extend a solid object. You can see at the picture that I attached what I mean and also I will try to explain. I draw a fence 1.5 m high. At one specific part of the yard I want the fence to be 2.0 m high. So I moved upper part (horisontal) of the fence to the height of 2.0 m. Now I want the 2 vertical poles to "extend" to that height. Now I can delete those poles and use extend command from the bottom and then use silce command. I was just wondering if their is a command that I can use to grab the pole as it is now and pull it up to the new height if that is possible without erasing it.
I need to close a gap between one frame member and another, I have tried using the trim / extend function however this does not work. The members are 25x25x3 SHS, please see attached screen shot which shows the issue.
How can I extend the whole clip. Composition setting a setupped for 1min and 30 sec. My clip is 45 sec. How can i extend it to 1.30. when I press Ctr + Alt+T. Its allows me to extend a orange frames , but without extended the content inside.
I have turned off or unchecked "Extend leader to text" (Multileader Style > Modify > Content > Extend leader to text) in all my templates.
Yet, when I start a new drawing using those templates, that feature is turned on (checked) again.
I've tested this several times. Yes, I'm using the same templates I've been saving. I've even created a new template from scratch with none of our standards in it. The check for Extend leader to text keeps returning.
I have a rectangle shape (a 3D polyline) as in the attached DWG. I want to Offset, Scale, Extend (call it whaever you wish) so that the new 3D polyline (after the scale, offset or extend) is at the same plane as the original one.
Obviously the Z values of the new 3D polyline will be different from the original.
I need to extend the existing ground profile. I previously had stopped the profile at 25+00 as shown in the attached. However, I need to add on another 100' to 26+00. I can only view info in the Profile Properties. I can't change the end station.
