View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way that I can bend a photographic image (or a selection of a photographic image) into a circle? For example, I might have a photographic image of a pencil that I want to bend into a complete circle so that the sharpened tip touches the eraser, essentially forming a “wheel” out of the pencil.
Along these same lines is there a filter, plugin, etc that would allow me to take a selection of a photographic image and distort it into some predefined shape?
How do you "wrap" the rounded edges around the main image with the reflection like this?

Once you flip the reflection layer, how do you bend the image so it's lined up in a curve to the main image?
I'm running PS CS3 on Mac iBook with 10.5.8
I've been using this setup for years & have always been able to drag out the right bottom corner to increase the grey space round an image so i can transform better or what ever. But now when I try to drag out that corner the image window flinches slightly & a line appears around the image which disapears when I let go.Also when I try to expand the layers palette down by dragging it's lower right cornes so I can see more layers nothing happens, there is no stripey corner marks on that corner & when i try click & try to drag nothing happens.
The first instruction is .. "Make a 10 pixel selection as shown in figure 2 - it needs to be a perfect selection, exactly on the top left corner of the tab". I did that ..
Â
The next instruction is,
Â
"Now select:
Â
Image/Crop
Â
(Need a 10 pixel radius corner.)"
Â
His image then looks like this ..So how do I do it?

The course is at [URL] and I want to make the navigation tabs.
How do you put a corner image onto the side of a 3d box image without it looking stretched and out of proportion?

But I would like to find an easy way to make all corners the same diameter regardless of the angle too.
If i zoom in image so it's bigger than "Fit on Screen" then if open/create or go to other opened image and return to 'zoomed' one, PS reposition area i see to right upper corner.

I then mounted my camera on a tripod, perpendicular to the print and the same exact centerline. I used two soft boxes on opposite sides of the painting for even, non-reflective lighting. Then, I metered with a flash meter and shot the painting at 1/160s, f11, ISO 100. I got a perfect exposure. I even used Live View on my camera zoomed in tight to get a super accurate focus.
Â
When I bring the image into LR4 (or LR3), the lower left hand corner was quite soft, but the rest of the image was tack sharp. I figured I screwed something up so I reshot the image. I remeasured everything to make sure all was flast, square, true, etc. Then, I shot the image with two very sharp lenses—Canon 100mm f2.8 macro, and Canon 70-200mm f4L lenses, both set at 100mm, f11, 1/160s, ISO 100.
Â
When looking at the image on my camera LCD, even zoomed in to max close-up, the entire image is sharp. When I import it into LR, that corner goes soft again! At first it displays sharp, but as soon as the software zooms in, it goes soft and stays soft. I tried enabling and disabling Lens Correction, but that lower left hand corner remains soft no matter what I do. I really don't think it is the lens, camera alignment or the exposure, since it displays sharply on the camera's LCD when zoomed in tight. Both these lenses are very sharp, and besides, I left some headroom on all four edges to avoid possible softness or vignetting.
I draw square. The 1st point and last points are left-top and finally set 5 points. The direction is clock-wise and made closed path.To get smooth-curved polygon shape, I used API 'PointsToCurves'.But, the first and last points are connected by cornered (not smooth) point. Here's result.
Maybe, I must set that square is closed path, to API, but it seems to be no parameter to set.So, I want to know how to get smooth corner shape every corner.I use SDK CS5.
I need to have an image appear as full screen initially and then reduce in size and sit top left of screen so that it remains visible, whilst other images come and go across the remainder of the screen.
I am using VS Pro X5 Ultimate, 64 bit Windows 7
When I add a image to my background my background shrinks to the top left hand corner of canvas. I have been trying to do this every night for a week now and held out posting until I gave up. Also when I try to paste an image I get a message saying I don't have enough memory (I have 20 GB of memory free). I tried to find Pleska plugin for adding from file but could not find it.

I've been working at it a little while and i cant seem to get anywhere. I have the feeling the trick lies somewhere in the confluence of two gradient shadows, coming together and bending to form a slightly darker area where the imaginary 90 degree angle would be.

I am looking for a macro to bend text, objects, grouped text & objects, bitmaps, etc. quickly and easily. i've used the envelope tool to bend text but if i'm trying to bend something other than text then it doesn't work. say, for example, i have a bitmap or gif image and have typed some text below this image then grouped them together. normally, i would convert it to a bitmap, into CMYK color, then edit the bitmap (adding additional space at the top of the image/text to accommodate the room needed for the bend by going to Image --> Paper Size --> Bottom Center --> and increasing the height by ~10%). then i go into the Effects --> Distort --> Shear and actually perform the bend.Â
Any existing macros which will perform this function?
