i use ps6. if i copy text from any program into a photoshop textbox it says "files empty/invalid" even if i open a new textbox or a new photoshop document. that only happens in photoshop, not in any other program. is there something wrong in the settings?
I'm trying to copy editable text from a Word file into the text editor for GIMP. Before I upgraded to 2.8, this was possible, but now it seems not. I'm on 2.8.4 using OSX Mavericks on a Macbook Pro.
I'm a terrible speller and since GIMP doesn't support spell check, this was always my workaround.
i am trying to create a drop shadow on text. i select the text and then copy and then paste in back. however, the copy shows up way above the text and not behind it. what am i doing wrong?
In the last 2 days Corel has decided to start changing Artistic Text to Paragraph Text when I copy & paste it across documents, completely changing the font, size & colour of what I am copying.
I've just done a factory reset & it's still doing it.
I don't recall doing anything that would change a setting.
The text I am copy & pasting are disclaimers that are all set on 1 document & I copy & paste them to a proof as needed.
I am not able to copy and paste text from non-Adobe programs (like Keynote or Word) into Photoshop CS6. I get an error message reading "Could not complete the Paste Text command because the clipboard data is empty or invalid." I have tried shutting down Photoshop, shutting down other programs, re-starting my computer, adjusting my Preferences and asking Adobe by phone and chat. I am on a new iMac and have no third party plug-ins installed.
I am trying to do something but it doesnt seem to work.
I have made a background paper in Photoshop. I want to copy a text from a word document and paste it into the paper in PS.
I have tried several things, but nothing works. Then I tried to make the paper a png, and insert it into word to copy in the text there instead, and I couldnt get that to work either.
Iv written text in a word document and copied and pasted it onto a background in photoshop. Now i have a problem because when i dropped the text into PS it said it had rendered the text it and now i cant change any of the text i can add to it but i cant change words that iv either miss spelt or need to remove from the text.
I am trying to find a way to copy a text layer in one image to another image of the same size so that the text layer is in the exact same location.
Basically I have two images for a rollover button for a website. What is the easiest way to copy a text layer to the other image so that it will be in the exact same location to create the rollover effect?
I have a keyboard shortcut for Copy (see directly below). This command doesn't copy multiple. But if I type "Copy" at the comment prompt (AutoCAD 2013) the copy multiple is the default. Copymode is already set to "0".
When I copied text over from Photoshop to illustrator it kept the text formatting. For example the font, font size, color. Now when I use CC and copy paste text from PS to AI, all text formatting is lost and everything is placed as whatever the current AI text setting is.
HOWEVER, pasting from AI to PS WORKS as it should. All font/text formatting is maintained. Is this a bug or is there a setting for this that I just never knew about?
I am a rookie so please be easy on me. I have been having a problem with entering fractions into simple text. Sometimes the fraction downsizes itself to the height of the other text, as I would like it to, and sometimes it doesn't. See example below, what am I doing wrong?
I can't find the "graphics" panel in PSE 8. I'm using the Swedish version of PSE, so I'm not 100% sure of the correct terminology here -- maybe it's not called that but something else? Anyway, I'm trying to create a text box to copy and use in several photos. Is that possible to do?
Using Elements 6 or 11, (a purchased copy), when I add text and then save the text disappears in the saved copy but remains in the Elements copy. I've spent hours on this being very careful that the save location is where I want it. The photos shown in the bin do contain the text. ??
I'm creating a few PS actions and I wrote a piece of text that I want to show by a "insert stop" rule at the begining of every action.
Problem is this: when I copy the text (from TextEdit) and go to the dialogue box on Photoshop, text simply doesn't paste. If i have to write it on every single action it will be a neverending work!
I have the full version of Creative Suite Premium. I uninstalled it from my computer, reformated the hard drive, and reinstalled Windows XP. I went to reinstall CS and it says my serial key is invalid. I have done this in the past and have never had a problem. I also have 5 other computers in the house and same thing on all of them. Yes it is the full version and I purchased it from Adobe. I called Abobe and have since talked to 4 people and a supervisor. None of them can help me becuase my version is not supported anymore. They all want me to upgrade to CS4 and I really dont get anywhere with anyone. I personally do not need the upgrade, I am ok with just using the version I purchased in the past. For the amount of money these programs cost I am suprised the customer support only works for the past 2 versions. So currently CS4 and CS3 are the only supported versions right now. But when CS5 comes out CS3 will no longer be supported. So support has nothing to do with a time frame, its purely based on new versions that are produced. I asked them that if I upgrade to CS4 and it still says serial key invalid, will I be under warranty to get my money back? They stated it is impossible not to work. They said they will just issue a new serial number and then it will work. However, right now they cannot issue me a new serial number for my old version becuase they dont support it. Now I have read about alot of people saying this same exact thing has happend to them, not just the fact that it doesnt work anymore, but the fact that Adobe in no way helps with this matter unless you pay for an upgrade. My opinion now is Adobe makes the codes invalid on purpose after a certain period of time to force you to upgrade. Maybe this is a little far fetched, but what other explanation can their be? Adobe has confirmed wih me on the phone I am in the system and the serial number I have is a valid number. They do not deny that, but I am pretty much at a dead spot here. I either upgrade or cant use the software that was purchased just a few years ago. What I would like people to post is not only ideas of anything else that can be done to resolve this issue, but your opinion to the invalid serial number idea and if this has ever happend to you and if you were forced to upgrade by Adobe...........
I saved a lot of files in CS3 as a jpeg file with the proper extension. I upgraded to CS5 and now when I want ot open these files i sometimes get a message that " an invalid JPEG marker type is found". I can open hem in preview and in CS3 but not in CS5.
I recently had to re-install Windows 7 and then had to re-install Adobe Creative Suite 2. When I try to register my product, which I have used for years, I now get an error message that says my serial number is invalid. How do I register this suite? I can't use it until I get it registered.
We have a 5 user license for Photoshop CS4 extended, and the first machine I've tested on has returned a red cross indicating an invalid license key when this is entered. However, the same key has subsequently been accepted for 2 other Windows installs on very similar machines.
This is a full install license as it has successfully installed CS4 alongside CS3 on one of the clients.
I have tried uninstalling all Adobe Photoshop related products including Bridge, etc from the problematic machine (and also ensured the HKLMSofwateMicrosoftWindowsCurrenversionUninstall key is cleared of such products) restarted and attempted install again but it's still not accepted.
I'm suspecting this one workstation has something left over in the registry or perhaps a file/folder that is confusing the key check.
I´m trying to open a JPEG image but this time an error occurs.
"Could not complete your request because an unknown or invalid JPEG marker type is found"
Ité the first time it occurs, and occurs only with this JPG file.....This file was extracted for a CD. Bridge does preview the image but I cannot open in any software, as Photoshop.
I have not got the hang of layers but i need to copy text/letters from a scanned page
How do i do i copy and paste text from one jpg to create another. I have tried Ctl + c to copy but when i click the other layer to then Ctrl + A and then CTRL + P to paste like a youtbe video suggests, instead of the copied text being pasted on i get a dialogue window for the printer.
Need to copy text from the web browser which is underlined, into Illustrator. The problem is that while pasting the text loses it's formatting. I found the solution about pasting the text into MS Word and then import it AI. Is there any other way to copy text from the web browser to illustrator with keeping format? Maybe plugins?
For the past three days i have been working on a drawing in photoshop CS6. I was working on it this morning and it went just fine. I save it and when i quite the program a message appeared saying Photoshop has stoped working.
The file was still in the place i saved it, everything seemed ok so i took a brake. A few hours later i tried to open it again and a message apeared saying Photoshop could not open the file because it is not a valid Photoshop file I have tried to open previous .psd files and they worked just fine.
