View 2 RepliesI have:
XP32 SP3
4GB Ram (3.25 are used by XP)
Nvidia 8800 GTS, all up to date drivers
Quad Core Q6850 (3ghz)
And I experience very unpleasant lag in CS4. It feels very sluggish. And I disabled all advanced options in OpenGL. That helped a bit, but it is still laggy. For instance, moving a windowed image has a delay of 1 second before it actually starts moving. Type tool feels sluggish too.
would upgrading the video card to something else get rid of lag?
I have been getting the same message at the beginning of Photoshop CS4 and this has just started. Adobe Photoshop CS4 now includes graphic card acceleration. We recommend you visit your card manufacturer's web site to download and install the latest drivers. I have a GeForce 8500 GT chip with a memory size of 512MB. I checked for an update and one was not needed. I then went and found an update for Photoshop CS4 downloaded it and installed it (Photoshop_11.0.1_mul_AdobeUpdate.zip). I restarted my computer and opened Photoshop and received the same message at the opening. What do I need to do or is this just a message that I don't have to worry about and I can click on the box that says "Don't show again"?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my PS-CC to 14.1.2 and now my graphics card is not recognized. The problem this update was suppose to have fixed. I have an iMac 27-inch late 2012 with 32 GB memory and 1TB hard drive. My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB.  When starting PS-CC after the update, I received a message that my graphics card was not recognized and I need to update the driver.Â
As you known, only Apple has updates to the graphics driver. There is NO update to the driver on Apple. In checking my preferences I do not have Open GL capability now. My driver worked just fine with 14.1.1. I'm going to try and retreat back to the 14.1.1 if that is possible.Â
which card to download from nvidia to upgrade the Geforce 7600gt on my windows xp prof. 32bits? I need to enable opengl and opencl in Photoshop cs6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I import photos from a CF card plugged into my reader on my PC, Lightroom 4 imports them into a folder showing the previous days date. I am puzzled as the time zones on the camera and PC are both set correctly, and it seems ok if I import directly from my camera but this is a lot slower, and this causes issues if I forget to do it from the camera. I have a Canon 5D mk3 with Firmware (v1.1.3), Windows 8 and Lightroom 4.3.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have included both a text and a date as part of the photo caption on each of my photos.  When I have attempted to search for a specific date or year, however, nothing comes up.  For example, if I search for my photo on "Fido 1985", I can find Fido, but if I simply enter "1985", I get nothing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got some 500 photos in a folder which were imported on two different dates. I've created a new album on the right hand side under "Organize" and just the photos I want are in there. When I look at the folder on the right, all the pictures are there. But I can't call up just that folder; instead what I get on my screen is all 2500 photos in all my photo albums! Not what I want! What I want to get is all the photos in the order in which they were taken on the actual day as all 500 photos were taken at the same day. And I want to be able to view just the 500 photos in that folder by the time those pictures were taken. But, when I imported the second batch of photos it showed the date the file was created rather than the date the photo was taken so, basically, I've got one batch of photos showing the date they were taken (which I downloaded via a link a few days later), and one showing the date they were copied!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently set up Elements 12. Prior to this I used elements 11. In that catalog I have more photos that I don't want. So I decided to export the ones I want then import into PSE 12. As I do this many of the dates on the pictures change from the date taken to the current date. I have tried several different ways and can't stop the dates changing. I am putting them into mobile albums in PSE 12 if that makes a difference.

View 13 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden I notice that when I open a file in Autocad Architecture, it shows the file creation date and not the actual last save date. Only thing I can think of is I reinstalled 3dsmax Design and I wonder if that changed something. I attached a screenshot for reference.

Is there a way to insert a Ai graphic into msWord and the graphic text still be searchable in msWord? I would like the text in my Ai graphic to be searchable once the graphic is inserted in msWord. I have tried different Ai exports, but all come into msWord as pictures. Is there a way to keep the Text Layer in my Ai file searchable in msWord.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhy does the capture date in the metadata panel not match the capture date seen in the grid extra view and how do I fix it? The images that I have in my library are digitized negatives and I've corrected the capture dates and times to be accurate; however, the capture date and in the metadata window shows what I've changed it to and the date in both the grid extra view and the Metadata>Edit Capture Time... options both reflect the date the image was last modified. Not all of the images in my library are this way and some show the correct information. When sorted by Capture Time, all images fall exactly where they should in the proper order (based on the changed, corrected edit time and not the modified date). I saved metadata to the file with the new date but it didn't fix it.Â
View 8 Replies View RelatedI create a graphic in Corel Draw X4 and export it as a .png file. It is a button with rounded corners. It will be going on a black background when put into an iphone app. So as to not have the little white corners show up from the rectangular export window, I made the button on top of a black rectangle, slightly larger than the button. I then selected the black to be transparant during the dialogs of exporting to png. When viewed in an image viewer the black is indeed transparent and does not show up. All looks fine.Â
To test what it will look like when put on top of a black background, I also make a black square and export it as a .png. I then open the black background in Corel Photopaint and then import the graphic into the background image. A siloutte of it shows up with the marque borders but the graphic itself (the colors and contents of the graphic don't). When combined with the black background it just disappears. Why doesn't it just lay on top of the other graphic?
How do you use the browser to sort by Date Taken??? Not Date Created or Date Modified but by the actual Date the photo was taken?
Reason is I have images from two cameras that were synced at the same event and I want to keep the chronological order.
Where does Photoshop (and Bridge) pull the timestamp information it uses for "date modified" from?
The time/date on my computer (from the system tray) are correct, but when I work on pictures they get a "date modified" stamp of February, 2036. New files created through Bridge get the same timestamp.
Any good script or action to put the exif date on a photo? I have looking on internet and find scripts but the don't working in Photoshop cs6 dutch.
