I have been getting the same message at the beginning of Photoshop CS4 and this has just started. Adobe Photoshop CS4 now includes graphic card acceleration. We recommend you visit your card manufacturer's web site to download and install the latest drivers. I have a GeForce 8500 GT chip with a memory size of 512MB. I checked for an update and one was not needed. I then went and found an update for Photoshop CS4 downloaded it and installed it (Photoshop_11.0.1_mul_AdobeUpdate.zip). I restarted my computer and opened Photoshop and received the same message at the opening. What do I need to do or is this just a message that I don't have to worry about and I can click on the box that says "Don't show again"?

And I experience very unpleasant lag in CS4. It feels very sluggish. And I disabled all advanced options in OpenGL. That helped a bit, but it is still laggy. For instance, moving a windowed image has a delay of 1 second before it actually starts moving. Type tool feels sluggish too.
would upgrading the video card to something else get rid of lag?
I'm considering purchasing a new 21.5-inch iMac that comes equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR5 memory. Will this graphics card be sufficient to run Photoshop CS6?
I have 2 graphiccards here on my system ( 3 monitor ) a 8400GS and a 8800GT. Photoshop runs on my primary monitor connected to the 8800GT. When I look into the performance settings for the GPU there my 8400GS is listed. How can I change that to the 8800 card?
It's a GeForce 7300 (7series) Graphic card and Photoshop doesn't recognize it what can I do? ..and If it is not possible to fix it? Tell me what graphic card I can use .... for 3d options (ASUS P5G41T-M LX motherboard)Â
I updated my PS-CC to 14.1.2 and now my graphics card is not recognized. The problem this update was suppose to have fixed. I have an iMac 27-inch late 2012 with 32 GB memory and 1TB hard drive. My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB.  When starting PS-CC after the update, I received a message that my graphics card was not recognized and I need to update the driver.Â
As you known, only Apple has updates to the graphics driver. There is NO update to the driver on Apple. In checking my preferences I do not have Open GL capability now. My driver worked just fine with 14.1.1. I'm going to try and retreat back to the 14.1.1 if that is possible.Â
I'm a Creative Cloud user and recently downloaded the new Photoshop CC. I tried to open an existing file and got the following error message, "3D features require a minimum of 512MB of vRAM. Photoshop has detected less than that on your system. Updating the driver of your graphics card may resolve the issue." Â While I'm fairly proficient in Photoshop I'll admit that I'm a bit lost when it comes to my computer. whether I actually need a new graphics card or perhaps my settings are wrong? Here is some information about my computer:
Mac Pro Processor 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Memory 20 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM Graphics ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)
I keep receiving the error "Could not complete your request because of a program error" when trying to access Blending Options for a custom graphic or font. It's completely inaccessible. It used to work just fine. Â The only other time I've seen this error is when running an action. Â CS5.1 (64) Extended, Updated WIN7 64 bit, AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series Graphics Card, AMD FX (tm) 6100 Six Core 3.30GHz, 8GB RAM
I have the latest version of Photo and Graphic Designer 9, and I have two .eps files that I cannot open because when I try to open them directly or import I get an error message that says that there is an error detected in the EPS file at line ####. These are files that I purchased and downloaded, and presumably they should not have errors. I don't have other software that is meant to open EPS files, so I cannot verify personally, but I do have reason to assume they are valid files. I saw this post that mentioned the same type of problem -
ive got a red sock and a white sock, and i want to place the colors black red yellow onto the red sock, so that it looks as realistic as poissible. problem is that i cant get the structure of the sock onto the new colors (i tried diffrent blending modes, displace).
Is there a way to insert a Ai graphic into msWord and the graphic text still be searchable in msWord? I would like the text in my Ai graphic to be searchable once the graphic is inserted in msWord. I have tried different Ai exports, but all come into msWord as pictures. Is there a way to keep the Text Layer in my Ai file searchable in msWord.
How do I paste a graphic over an existing graphic on a header? and how do I determine the amount of pixels to be covered and the amount of pixels in the graphic I am wanting to use?
I create a graphic in Corel Draw X4 and export it as a .png file. It is a button with rounded corners. It will be going on a black background when put into an iphone app. So as to not have the little white corners show up from the rectangular export window, I made the button on top of a black rectangle, slightly larger than the button. I then selected the black to be transparant during the dialogs of exporting to png. When viewed in an image viewer the black is indeed transparent and does not show up. All looks fine.Â
To test what it will look like when put on top of a black background, I also make a black square and export it as a .png. I then open the black background in Corel Photopaint and then import the graphic into the background image. A siloutte of it shows up with the marque borders but the graphic itself (the colors and contents of the graphic don't). When combined with the black background it just disappears. Why doesn't it just lay on top of the other graphic?
I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:
Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
When I try to use the Oil Paint filter tool I receive an error claiming that an "uknown graphics processor error" had occured. I then checked under my preferences and Photoshop is not using the correct graphics card. Is there a way for me to fix this problem so that I can use photoshop? I have a switchable radeon graphics card in my computer and use catalyst control center to manage it. I had a picture of a person. The picture taken in a low light place so the picture was very dark. I wanted to make the picture brighter so that the person in the picture can been see clearly. How to brighten it?
I was just wondering, is wacom a good tablet for the price? I know nothing about graphic tablets and I am not by any means an artist, but is it a good tablet to start out on? I know it has 512 levels of pressure ( I hope I said that right) and 3048 LPI of resolution and that's about it.
im am designing my own DJ Business cards. and i need some help on aligning everything and get all the shapes, shading, logo, text, pictures , and everything just perfect and ready for printing. You could also change the whole design but its up to you Im a DJ and I was looking for a nice, professional, Digital, 3D design. I have both the front and the back designed out but i don't have any idea how to upload the photoshop (.psd) files
I basically want to know if the graphic grid system can be used to create design for web pages. Ive found a good book on amazon-
Grid Systems in Graphic Design by Josef Muller-Brockmann , Josef Muller-
Ive been designing websites for a while now, Mainly using html and css for layout. Ive just got in to flash and now find it quite hard to lay my pages out so they look clean and professional-
I'm trying to set the pen i'm using to work with pressure. The brush strokes should become darker as i press harder. I've set the 'shape dynamics' and 'other dynamics' to pen pressure but it still doesn't work.
Currently my display card is a NVIDIA Quadro FX 500/600 PCI. One of the reasons I chose this card is it supprted dual montors. Now that I have upgraded to CS4 Extended I need to upgrade my display card.
When I went to Adobe's List of tested graphics display cards for Photoshop CS4 and seen such a long list of cards for Windows.I thought I would come here and ask if any body else has upgraded theirs. I would perfere to go with a nVidia card. Do any of these cards support dual monitors? Or how can I keep using my two montors?
I had one of 3 Transcend 1G cards result in complete failure, loosing about 400 pictures of Costa Rica birds. Neither the camera nor computer would recognize card after the shoot. Disk Doctors disassembled the card and hooked it up to test modules and ran multiple 5-6 hour tests to try to reconstruct data. Nothing worked as they said all the files were corrupted. This is the one disk that I shot until full with a Nikon D40X camera. Card was formated before use. I reviewed pictures as I shot and all seemed right.
They theorize that perhaps the card and camera did not communicate, but I shot at most only a couple of RAW format pictures over the capacity, so to me that does not seem logical it would corrupt everything. But not an expert either.
The technician said not to fill up the card and use smaller cards so you don't have all the shots in the same basket.
