Quad Core Q6850 (3ghz)
And I experience very unpleasant lag in CS4. It feels very sluggish. And I disabled all advanced options in OpenGL. That helped a bit, but it is still laggy. For instance, moving a windowed image has a delay of 1 second before it actually starts moving. Type tool feels sluggish too.
would upgrading the video card to something else get rid of lag?
Every time I open up Photoshop CC it tells me that my Graphic Card is out of date. I'm on a macbook pro purchase in 2011.

We recommend you visit your card manufacturer's web site to download and install the latest drivers. I have a GeForce 8500 GT chip with a memory size of 512MB. I checked for an update and one was not needed. I then went and found an update for Photoshop CS4 downloaded it and installed it (Photoshop_11.0.1_mul_AdobeUpdate.zip). I restarted my computer and opened Photoshop and received the same message at the opening.What do I need to do or is this just a message that I don't have to worry about and I can click on the box that says "Don't show again"?

View 26 Replies View RelatedI updated my PS-CC to 14.1.2 and now my graphics card is not recognized. The problem this update was suppose to have fixed. I have an iMac 27-inch late 2012 with 32 GB memory and 1TB hard drive. My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB.  When starting PS-CC after the update, I received a message that my graphics card was not recognized and I need to update the driver.Â
As you known, only Apple has updates to the graphics driver. There is NO update to the driver on Apple. In checking my preferences I do not have Open GL capability now. My driver worked just fine with 14.1.1. I'm going to try and retreat back to the 14.1.1 if that is possible.Â

I bought PSE 11 for Mac a few months ago, and have finally been able to spend some time examining the features. However, I noticed that my "Sketch" filters do not include the comic or graphic novel options. Were these two omitted from the Mac-version? Or do I have a faulty copy of the program?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got the 64 bit version of CS5 after using the 32 bit version, and at first the OpenGL stuff was working, but then all of a sudden it stopped. The 32 bit version recognizes my graphics card and lets me use OpenGL, but the 64 bit version doesn't.

Say you doing some graphic work for someone and the person would like to see it before they say ok that will work.
Well if they wanted to they could steal the pic so is there a way to protect your work from this happing.
I have been experiencing constant crashes to the desktop using a fresh install of CS6 while attempting to use the text tool.

My other problem is that photoshop does not seem to detect my graphics card, it says "Photoshop has detected an error in your display driver" and I cannot access any of the GPU options.

PSCS6 shows the Clone tool transfer images so it is using Open Gl from my NVidia g610 graphics card but in "preferences" it shows no detected graphics processor in the performance window and therefore I cannot access the Hue wheel.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust come back from a photo trip and tried to import my images into Lightroom from my SD Card and Lightroom doesn't see them, all it see's are the images I took on Saturday.

Today I arrived at my location to photograph Pasque Flowers, I took 1 image then realised I hadn't deleted the images from Saturday so I used the 'Delete Images From Card' in my camera's menu and then proceeded to take a few hundred images. During the day I reviewed my images several times, so I know they were definitely saved to the SD Card.

When I got home I tried to import my images in to Lightroom and all Lightroom saw on the card were the images I took last Saturday.
I tried closing down Lightroom and opening it again - nothing, just the images from Saturday!
I tried using the SD Card reader on my iMac - again, just Saturday's images were found.
I then put my card back into my camera and all I could see were my Pasque flower images from today.

So it seems my camera see's todays images yet Lightroom only sees the images from Saturday I had deleted via my camera's menu at the start of today.

I can only print my photoshop work on A4 when I want it on A3. Its not greyed out it doesnt respond. Strange as it was working no problem then suddenly stopped. I am using a mac OX10.8.4 and a macbook pro. I have reloaded my printers drivers Brother DCP 6690CWP and it still doesnt work.

View 7 Replies View RelatedUsing Debian testing - Gimp 2.6.11 and when I create a graphic I try to use airbrush, brush or pencil and I can't get them onto the graphic. The colour tester does get onto the graphic and works.
for the others the cursor vanishes and only the arrows on the ruler top and side move about. The cursor is behind the graphic? Moves out from under when I move off the graphic.
I am difficulty getting the options dialog box to open (under the file menu "red A" dropdown list, options button). When I click on it, all of the buttons on top go gray and nothing appears. When I click on the black workspace, I get a compluter bell sound.
What I've tried to do to solve the problem is restart the computer and shutdown the computer.
I just download my Revit 2012 and the Project Browser does not show options for Elevations and Sections.It only shows Floor Plan and Ceiling Plans.When trying to bring Windows or Door, it says it is not loaded. It asking if I want load it. Well! The next step has 20 something options but nothing to do with Windows or Doors. How to get out of this Nightmare?

View 6 Replies View RelatedFirstly - when I create a document at 48x48 at 72ppi, it comes out as you would expect, 48x48 on a screen. However if I enter 48x48 and try to enter 326ppi, it doesn't adjust the canvas size at all.

Also when I have my 48x48 72ppi document open and go to image > image size, and adjust only the ppi to 326...it does nothing! What should be happening is the canvas become 72:326 ratio larger to reflect the new ppi, or in other words, make the canvas size larger in proportion to this so when you take your new 326ppi image to the iphone it is retina at 48x48...however this is clearly not happening.
In Photoshop CS2, I select Help > How to fix and enhance photos > to touch up spots, scratches, and wrinkles. Instead of help on that, Adobe Help Center 2.1 shows up with nothing in it.

I used to save images in 1-bit PCX format, as required by several label(thermal transfer) printers. I can't find any way to do that anymore.
Export to PCX does not give any options, and exports 24bit color.
Even after changing the image format to indexed, and selecting 1-bit B/W,export to PCX is still
8-bit colour, 300 x 300 dpi, RLE compressed
Any way to accomplish
1-bit colour, 72 x 72 dpi, RLE compressed
Note that another accepted format is monochrome BMP, but this does notseem to work either in GIMP. The only options offered are RGB.
I have an old version of the creative suite that is all right for what I do (information for a charitable organisation for medical research) installed in 2008. For quite a while now every once in a while when I start up I get a screen asking me to register. But since I already am registered Adobe just said to click on later and go on working. But this morning the screen is empty so I can't click anywhere. I've tried restarting and even turning off the computer and trying to restart my day.
