I have 2 graphiccards here on my system ( 3 monitor ) a 8400GS and a 8800GT. Photoshop runs on my primary monitor connected to the 8800GT. When I look into the performance settings for the GPU there my 8400GS is listed. How can I change that to the 8800 card?

Quad Core Q6850 (3ghz)
And I experience very unpleasant lag in CS4. It feels very sluggish. And I disabled all advanced options in OpenGL. That helped a bit, but it is still laggy. For instance, moving a windowed image has a delay of 1 second before it actually starts moving. Type tool feels sluggish too.
would upgrading the video card to something else get rid of lag?
Every time I open up Photoshop CC it tells me that my Graphic Card is out of date. I'm on a macbook pro purchase in 2011.

We recommend you visit your card manufacturer's web site to download and install the latest drivers. I have a GeForce 8500 GT chip with a memory size of 512MB. I checked for an update and one was not needed. I then went and found an update for Photoshop CS4 downloaded it and installed it (Photoshop_11.0.1_mul_AdobeUpdate.zip). I restarted my computer and opened Photoshop and received the same message at the opening.What do I need to do or is this just a message that I don't have to worry about and I can click on the box that says "Don't show again"?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my PS-CC to 14.1.2 and now my graphics card is not recognized. The problem this update was suppose to have fixed. I have an iMac 27-inch late 2012 with 32 GB memory and 1TB hard drive. My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB.  When starting PS-CC after the update, I received a message that my graphics card was not recognized and I need to update the driver.Â
As you known, only Apple has updates to the graphics driver. There is NO update to the driver on Apple. In checking my preferences I do not have Open GL capability now. My driver worked just fine with 14.1.1. I'm going to try and retreat back to the 14.1.1 if that is possible.Â

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install a graphics tablet on my computer (Dell, Windows 64-bit), but for some reason it wasn't working with my Photoshop CS6 Extended. I was advised to uninstall Photoshop and then re-install in order to get the tablet to work with it. I have the Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium but I only uninstalled Photoshop Extended specifically.
Now that I'm going to re-install Photoshop, I'm unsure what to do. Do I download the trial version of Photoshop Extended and then put in my serial number? Or should I uninstall all of the Creative Suite and then re-install that?

I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL.

I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions.

So, what are my options?

I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.
I'm happy with the NX version, but if I want to upgrade to XT, how do I do it? I looked on the upgrade options for XT and upgrading from NX, is not there.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI create a graphic in Corel Draw X4 and export it as a .png file. It is a button with rounded corners. It will be going on a black background when put into an iphone app. So as to not have the little white corners show up from the rectangular export window, I made the button on top of a black rectangle, slightly larger than the button. I then selected the black to be transparant during the dialogs of exporting to png. When viewed in an image viewer the black is indeed transparent and does not show up. All looks fine.Â
To test what it will look like when put on top of a black background, I also make a black square and export it as a .png. I then open the black background in Corel Photopaint and then import the graphic into the background image. A siloutte of it shows up with the marque borders but the graphic itself (the colors and contents of the graphic don't). When combined with the black background it just disappears. Why doesn't it just lay on top of the other graphic?
I installed CS6 via download and it is not the English version (I think it's Italian). There was no prompt to choose a language during the installation. How do I get the English version?

View 9 Replies View Relatedi loaded Photoshop CS on to my new computer and the pictures and the colors are off by alot. the color looks more brown tinted.
so if i make something red in photoshop, it ends up truely being more purple.
i checked all the color setting in the "edit" pull down menu with the color setting of another persons that works.
When I try to use the Oil Paint filter tool I receive an error claiming that an "uknown graphics processor error" had occured. I then checked under my preferences and Photoshop is not using the correct graphics card. Is there a way for me to fix this problem so that I can use photoshop? I have a switchable radeon graphics card in my computer and use catalyst control center to manage it.
