I'm considering purchasing a new 21.5-inch iMac that comes equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR5 memory. Will this graphics card be sufficient to run Photoshop CS6?
View 1 RepliesI updated my PS-CC to 14.1.2 and now my graphics card is not recognized. The problem this update was suppose to have fixed. I have an iMac 27-inch late 2012 with 32 GB memory and 1TB hard drive. My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB.  When starting PS-CC after the update, I received a message that my graphics card was not recognized and I need to update the driver.Â
As you known, only Apple has updates to the graphics driver. There is NO update to the driver on Apple. In checking my preferences I do not have Open GL capability now. My driver worked just fine with 14.1.1. I'm going to try and retreat back to the 14.1.1 if that is possible.Â
I would like to purchase a Wacom Intuos 5 touch to do image retouching and processing, but I have it difficult to choose the size, medium or large.

Quad Core Q6850 (3ghz)
And I experience very unpleasant lag in CS4. It feels very sluggish. And I disabled all advanced options in OpenGL. That helped a bit, but it is still laggy. For instance, moving a windowed image has a delay of 1 second before it actually starts moving. Type tool feels sluggish too.
would upgrading the video card to something else get rid of lag?
Every time I open up Photoshop CC it tells me that my Graphic Card is out of date. I'm on a macbook pro purchase in 2011.

We recommend you visit your card manufacturer's web site to download and install the latest drivers. I have a GeForce 8500 GT chip with a memory size of 512MB. I checked for an update and one was not needed. I then went and found an update for Photoshop CS4 downloaded it and installed it (Photoshop_11.0.1_mul_AdobeUpdate.zip). I restarted my computer and opened Photoshop and received the same message at the opening.What do I need to do or is this just a message that I don't have to worry about and I can click on the box that says "Don't show again"?

I just upgraded from VS Pro5 to VS Pro 6. Will not launch.
Get error msg "Screen resolution size is not sufficient to launch the application"
Screen resolution is currently set at 1366 x 768 which is "recommended" I have reset resolution and restarted with each attempt at changing resolution... still get message..
Not a happy camper... Seems they should be sophisticated enough to check that system is set properly.... and if not, to give information on how to correct.
Does anyone know of a tutorial or a site that may explain how to do this? I dont mind redrawing the graphic, but i would like vector graphic made.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI create a graphic in Corel Draw X4 and export it as a .png file. It is a button with rounded corners. It will be going on a black background when put into an iphone app. So as to not have the little white corners show up from the rectangular export window, I made the button on top of a black rectangle, slightly larger than the button. I then selected the black to be transparant during the dialogs of exporting to png. When viewed in an image viewer the black is indeed transparent and does not show up. All looks fine.Â
To test what it will look like when put on top of a black background, I also make a black square and export it as a .png. I then open the black background in Corel Photopaint and then import the graphic into the background image. A siloutte of it shows up with the marque borders but the graphic itself (the colors and contents of the graphic don't). When combined with the black background it just disappears. Why doesn't it just lay on top of the other graphic?
I have used Photoshop 5.5 (on a disc with key) on Windows XP happily for several years. I am now converting to an iMac. Will this version load and work?

I have the new cs6 master collection and all programs work well and don't cause problems when I shut down my iMac except Photoshop. If I use photoshop, anytime I try to shut down my computer all I get is a spinning wheel and computer will never shut down. This happened on cs5 as well and thought newer version would fix problem but it has not.

The computer runs fine with all other applications but will quickly run up several gigs of page outs when handling camera raw and photoshop files, it starts to creep along after a short while. Apple ran "stress tests" on the computer and everything is perfectly functional. I used to have no issues with cs5 and the computer should be able to handle the task easily. I have tried to reinstall photoshop.
