AutoCAD Inventor :: Last Saved By And Last Saved Date Drawing Template Properties
Jul 15, 2013I'm trying to customise my drawing templates to keep them up to date and also include accountability.I seem to be having trouble in including the name of the person who has last saved the model, and the date the model was last saved.
Manually including this information isn't ideal as people will forget, and it makes it harder to trace revisions.I can't see anywhere on the iProperties where the 'Last saved by' feature is available, but I thought maybe the information could be pulled from the username from the application options?
The last saved date should be easy, as there is a modified date in the model's iproperties; however, I cannot pull this information.I have used other cad packages in the past and this was never an issue. With all the customisation of Inventor, I thought this would be relatively straight  forward.

When investigating trying to find out what happened. when I open a JPG from Windows Explorer, photoshop is set to use Camera Raw for jpg files on open (ok). If I cancel the dialog, nothing happens (ok). If I click Done or Open Image, the file itself has the "Date Taken" time updated - 7 hours ahead of the original correct time.Â

This pretty much matches the date issue I have on the 8000 files. Is this expected behaviour? Why would Camera Raw update Date Taken and did it choose 8 hours because I am in the PST timezone (GMT-8 or currently GMT-7 with daylight savings)?

I have reproduced this on 4 or file random files - taking copies and comparing afterwards.

Nov 27, 2012I have included both a text and a date as part of the photo caption on each of my photos.  When I have attempted to search for a specific date or year, however, nothing comes up.  For example, if I search for my photo on "Fido 1985", I can find Fido, but if I simply enter "1985", I get nothing.

Oct 1, 2012I've got some 500 photos in a folder which were imported on two different dates. I've created a new album on the right hand side under "Organize" and just the photos I want are in there. When I look at the folder on the right, all the pictures are there. But I can't call up just that folder; instead what I get on my screen is all 2500 photos in all my photo albums! Not what I want! What I want to get is all the photos in the order in which they were taken on the actual day as all 500 photos were taken at the same day. And I want to be able to view just the 500 photos in that folder by the time those pictures were taken. But, when I imported the second batch of photos it showed the date the file was created rather than the date the photo was taken so, basically, I've got one batch of photos showing the date they were taken (which I downloaded via a link a few days later), and one showing the date they were copied!

Mar 13, 2014I recently set up Elements 12. Prior to this I used elements 11. In that catalog I have more photos that I don't want. So I decided to export the ones I want then import into PSE 12. As I do this many of the dates on the pictures change from the date taken to the current date. I have tried several different ways and can't stop the dates changing. I am putting them into mobile albums in PSE 12 if that makes a difference.

Sep 27, 2012Files saved from photoshop to a server in Mountain lion not visible. But when I save to desktop then move the file to the server, it recognizes that the file is there and I do an overwrite. Also happens with Illustrator files. Is this a MountainLion problem or CS6?

I've attached a screen shot of icons that appear to show what seems to remain of one of the files. You will see it has 3 different icons that correspond to it. Jun 3, 2009I recently upgraded Photoshop from CS2 to CS4 (11.0.1). If I use CS4 to save a large multi-layered Photoshop .psd file as .tif (Layer/Flatten image/Discard hidden layers), (File/Save as .tif, LZW, Interleaved, IBM PC) the resultant .tif file cannot be read by many other programs. File viewers (Faststone, MS Paint, QT Picture Viewer, Windows Photo Gallery) either fail to display the images, display the images incorrectly, or display a black screen. Neat Image fails to open the files due to incorrect bit depth.  (Faststone shows the bit depth as 40 bits). PTLens fails to open the files with the dialog "Only RBG images are supported". This has become a significant problem, since I routinely distribute images to others as .tif files. Similar Photoshop CS2 saved .tif files open with all the above viewers/programs with no problems. (no longer have CS2 installed)

Jun 24, 2009I don't seem to be pluggin in the correct set of keywrds to bring it up in the search if it has. Here's my dilemma. I just bought a new computer which came preloaded with Vista, and uploaded my old copy of CS3 onto it. The program seems to be working fine, except that when I open a file in Photoshop and edit it, then save it in a new file (as I do for most of my photoshoots, etc), or even when I save it in the orignial folder, the new "saved" file will not show up in the Vista folder. If I go back to Photoshop and open the folder via File>Open, I can access all of my pictures, but to I cannot access them to upload to the internet, email, use in other programs, etc. If I go into "Recently Changed Documents" I can find them, but they seem to be in a temp folder in the Adobe folders. But again, if I go back to Adobe, it says they are in the folder I put them in.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Wrong Date On DWG To PDF Files
Apr 18, 2013I've recently begun using the "DWG to PDF.pc3" plotter/printer for making PDF files of my AutoCAD 2013 drawings because it's quite a lot faster than using the "Adobe PDF" plotter/printer that I have been using up to now.
But today I noticed something very odd: After I create a PDF file using the "DWG to PDF.pc3" plotter/printer, when I go into Windows Explorer (the file manager) and click on a file to select it, the file shows the "Date Created" and "Date Modified" as being "11/27/2007 9:11 AM" even though the file was actually created today, 4/18/2013 at 3:01 PM. If I right-click the file and select Properties, the General tab shows this incorrect date and time for the Created and Modified data, as well as the Accessed data, which you can see in screen capture 1 attached.
Before you ask the obvious: yes, my computer's date and time ARE set correctly. This is as if AutoCAD has some sort of "internal" clock that's set to the wrong time, the wrong dthe wrong year, and is assigning that wrong information to the finished PDF file... very weird.Â
And then opening the file in Acrobat itself, when I click on the File menu and then on Properties, the Document Properties window appears and shows the data contained within the file: and it is the CORRECT Created and Modified date & time! You can see this in screen capture 2, also attached.
So it seems as if the "DWG to PDF.pc3" printer/plotter is creating the file correctly, and placing the correct Date and Time data inside the file for Acrobat's use, but is coming up with this bizarre time on a date over 5 years in the past as the data that Windows "sees" in the file's Properties.
I'm simply baffled by this. It wouldn't bother me so much except for the fact that we make many corrections and updates to files without changing or "dating" the file name, and my boss frequently asks me to sort the files within a folder by the Date Modified, so we can find the latest revision.

Feb 18, 2014I am getting the wrong date when I rename files in LR5. How do I fix it? I hae always used a custom preset date (YYYYMMDD)_Custom Text_Sequence #(0001) Everything works except the date. What I get is 20130128 I am using a Nikon Df . I checked the date and time and it is set correctly.

Aug 16, 2006If I open a JPEG file of say 75kb, make some modifications and save at max. resolution (to avoid as much degradation as possible) it ends up 225kb. Question how would I retain the original 75kb? Why would max. add kb if there are only 75kb to begin with? I would assume the max. would leave it as close to the original as possible.
