PSP X6. In the Manage workspace, in preview mode, the picture on the preview area does not fill the frame but about 3/4 of it leaving the right and bottom ends empty. It is the same with the 64b and 32b vertions.
View 4 RepliesI want to change the colour of a picture frame (black) around the outside of an image and I am trying to use a (blue) from a 2nd image to do so. The 2nd image is an edited version of the !st image saved under a different name. PSPRo X .This is my work flow :-
1 Open 2nd image
2 Click the dropper tool on the 2nd image-the foreground colour in the met palette changes to that colour(blue)
3 Click on foreground colour box
4 Click on background colour box-wanted colour shows-OK.
5 Select flood fill tool
Then the foreground colour changes to white. Not doing step 4 ends up with white too.
when i resize an image for example to 27 x 18 cm there is no problem however, when i try and print the image and the preview window comes up there seems to only be a tiny part of the picture visible? its basicly a tiny square in the top left corner of the preview page and its just big enough to see its a minute part of the image i want to print. If i try and print the image anyway i just get "could not start print job".I never had any issues before then suddenly a few weeks ago the problem happened in version x2 on any pictures i tried to resize and print , so i updated to x3 in the hope it would correct the error but its still there. Any setting somewhere , i tried using a trial version of a rival program and that worked fine and showed the print preview exactly how it should.

I just haven't found the setting, but I can't seem to make the cursor disappear during full screen preview in PSP x4! Is it something I'm not selecting?
I have searched to the ends of the internet for an answer, but have come up with nothing, however I noticed that there was an ESC key bug with full screen preview in PSP x3, and having a visible cursor would allow one to exit full screen without having to press a key. Could this be why the cursor is now visible? Now that I think about it, I've always been able to exit with either the ESC key or a mouse click. Still, this is something I've never seen before in any version of PSP.
When I want to flood fill -say a cloudy sky with blue, is it possible to use my own colour-that is an image taken of a blue sky instead of using one of the options shown after clicking to get the default colour choices in PSPro X

I just downloaded PSP 13...I can't put a few photos on the work space....I only see one photo at a time and when I move a photo I see the checkered area and not the other photos...at the top left I see the photo names and i can click on them and the photo appears but only one at a time...around each photo I always had an area where I could see the X at the top right , click on it and the photo would leave...but now it's hard to see where the X is...

View 1 Replies View RelatedNoticed this when going through my photos tonight. When using the full screen preview in the Manage workspace, a photo will become more magenta after every pass.
Duplicate this by:
1. Double click on an image in the manage workspace to bring up the full screen preview. Take note of the colors.
2. Press the right arrow on your keyboard to advance to the next image.
3. Press the left arrow on the keyboard to return to the original image. Examine the colors...for me it is slightly more magenta. To make this change more obvious switch back and forth between the original and 2nd image. For me, the images become extremely magenta.
I'll include 2 images of one photo....the only difference being that the "magenta" one has gone through the process above 6 times.

I have read several requests from others, as well as the very confusing "answers" to them. Corel's manual shows photos of before/after views in several examples, but there is no info on how to bring them up. Some of the answers here say things like "Use the window" don't know where that is "Simulate a before/after" - Are you kidding? "Click on filters" - doesn't work Use Adjust menu.
WHY does Corel show all those samples but not have a way to do it?On page 130 of the PaintShop Pro X4 manual, there is a discussion and a picture of a Before/After situation, but nowhere is there any info on how to bring it up.
PSPX5 on a Win7 machine.I've been using this program a long time. Been using this setup for almost a year. Suddenly, the "preview" pane of the the "manage" tab has just quit working. It's whited out. I click on a thumbnail and the image info shows on the side pane, but the main frame just remains white. I've tried restarting the machine, to no avail. I can try uninstalling and reinstalling, but would rather not.

With the flood fill tool selected I click on the foreground colour box in the materials palette.I click on the colour frame, the colour momentarily shows but does not alter the colour box.Clicking on the rainbow tab displays a box with black to white gradient in it.This will change the colour box to any shade clicked on.Clicking on the swatches colour tab gives varying shades in the colour box or does not change the colour box.What is going on here and how do I get back to normal so that I can change the foreground colour as before? View 6 Replies View RelatedIn PSPx2 I used to select an area in an adjustment layer and then use the Flood Fill tool to create a mask. Did it quite often.
In PSPx4 the Flood Fill tool doesn't seem to work on adjustment layers. I can get the desired effect using the Airbrush, but it's a tedious and imprecise technique. Is this a known bug (I searched the forum but couldn't find it) or an intentional change?
i would like to set a gradient in a form(exactly a text) from the stroke color to the fill color.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI do a lot of screen captures mostly using Vdub to move frame by frame when I want a screencap. I don't get any problem with vdub but when I use other programs like MPC HC or sometimes even in WMP, the size dimensions sometimes gets captured with the image like this:
It gets quite annoying because I have to recapture the frame again and try different techniques to get it without the box or size dimensions showing up in the capture.I'm using Corel PSP x4 to do my screen captures. How to capture clearly without those box dimensions getting in the way?
Is there a way to make PS X4 open up images the way it did in older versions... i.e. each image opens up as a stand alone floating box so I can have them side by side? (See attached image)
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn X4 I could set the pallettes I wanted (layers and History) to a docked position on the RHS. With X6 the pallettes cover the RH part of the window and the image, with the opened image centred on the whole screen so that the RH part is cut off. It can't be centred within the area visible when the pallettes are open. This gives a smaller visible image if the whole image is in view. This is a serious issue, which X4 handled ok ! I've tried all the options but cannot get X6 to behave like x4
View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't find any preferences for changing the photo editing area background colour. I am not sure what it is called but what I am talking about is the space in the middle of the program where photos open up into (not the workspace option which changes the menu bar colours of which I am using the blue option.) At the moment the centre area is a charcoal colour. When I am editing a photo which is smaller than this space it is surrounded by this colour and it makes it hard for me to see the thin black border which I place around some photos. Can I change the colour of the editing area to white?
View 3 Replies View Relatedi found PSP3 to be WAY over my head, and uninstalled it,, only now, using windows movie maker ][5.1] i find the "preview" of text in video is blank. is there some thing about PSP that would have caused this? i reinstalled PSP and it and windows movie maker worked ok, then i removed psp again and the problem has returned. the preview of text in movie in blank/black..in the windows movie maker. the text DOES go on,,
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Paint Shop Pro X5 Ultimate.The Preview Window of the Manage Tab seemed to be displaying photos oddly - the photo wasn't filling the preview window (it was leaving an area around the bottom and right-hand side of the photo). At first I thought it was just the zoom setting, so I zoomed in. However, I have now used several features of the software that seem to show that the Preview Window (only on the Manage Tab) is incorrectly displaying the preview.
The problem became further evident when I used the Find People feature of Paint Shop Pro to locate the faces and tag several people, however the position of the tags are as if the Preview Window is filled by the photo. I have attached a screenshot that shows that the tag for the person in the bottom right-hand corner of the photo has her tag positioned off the photo (outside of the border of the photo) to the bottom and right of the photo even though it was automatically placed by the software. The position of the tags for the people in the photo are all offset slightly to the right and down and would be correct only if the photo was displaying correctly in the Preview Window.
I have tested uploading the photos to Facebook and the tags appear correctly once on Facebook. If I manually tag the faces as they appear on the Preview Window, the tags are incorrectly placed once the photo has been uploaded to Facebook (they appear up and to the left of where the face is positioned in the photo.
I have tried resetting the preferences and turning off some display features of Microsoft Windows, but I have seen to changes in the Preview Window.
Properties of your source files (format, file size, where did you get it?) The example photo was taken in .jpg format using a Nikon D3100 and 18-200mm Nikon DX lens, though this affects my entire photo collection taken on several different cameras and in several different formats (including RAW).
What devices are involved and their mode of connection? The files were transferred directly from the camera to the computer using a USB cable. Project Properties:I was using the Manage tab to sort photos and tag people using the Find People feature and also tried manually tagging faces.
I am new to Corel PaintShop Pro X4, and am attempting to enter text into a template I found online. I was successful in entering the text, and when I try to print, the print preview shows a template full of text. However, when the page prints, only some of the text is there! The text that prints doesn't even seem to correspond with the layers. I tried to save the file as another type of image to print it (all text shows then with no problem), but it is not a very sharp image. I have searched the manual, but am not finding an answer. View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased PSP 5 and uninstalled PSP 4. After installation, I am unable to see any image previews in manage, adjust or edit mode. I have installed the service pack updates with no change in this absent function. Neither the main window nor the organizer palette will display any jpg image previews. I CAN go manually to a specific file and open the image and edit it at will, but I cannot see any previews of any images in the main or organizer palette. how to get the program to display image previews. I never had this problem before in any of the previous PSP versions. I have also uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled the program to no avail.
