Is there an option to work without layers?
I know layers offers many advantages and I have worked in them, but this time I would
like to work in a single canvas and simply past pics to it, manipulate, then print.
I've clicked link on two layers and set 'Link Set' to 1 on both. I want to make a selection, and move what is in it. But with the contents from two or more layers, not just one. The move tool seems to always move the background layer, although it's locked. What am I missing. I've been looking for this basic feature for a long time. How does the link layers function work?

After getting the hang of that, I figured I could try the same thing with a different image. But instead of opening up both images in different colors, both show up as the color of the first image. Both images are png files, the same file format that I used the first set of images for. I have not changed the size nor made anything transparent.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo you know what system I have, I use a laptop running Windows 7 64bit, with a dual core processor and 4GB RAM. It's a very capable machine and I don't usually have a problem using LR on it.
After installing LR 3.3 over 3.2 I experienced a problem whereby the PC would not recognise which program to use for opening the lrcat catalog files. Using the Default Programs option in Control Panel didn't work as Windows wouldn't accept Lightroom as the default program and kept suggesting I open the catalog using Adobe Reader instead.
I seem to remember having an issue with the 3.2 update as well but that was simply the icon for file type being missing (showing a default unknown file type icon).
Anyway, resolved the problem but had to resort to downloading a program called Default Programs Editor (http:[url]...... to correct the problem. Am thinking next upgrade, I will uninstall LR completely before installing the update, just to be sure.
In my previous version of Elements, I was able to duplicate a layer (which was a picture) and then drag and drop a new picture into that layer. How can I do this with Elements 12, since the drag and drop option doesn't work?
I am using this for a "scrapbook" photo page, where there are multiple photos and text on the page.
I have auto select turned on and set to layer.

I've noticed when you tilt things using Rotate/Zoom the edges and some finer details can get quite jaggy.Pretty much like in Shape3D unless you check the AA option and raise the level up to 4/5. Then all the creases are ironed out and detail is kept Is it even possible to put an AA option into Rotate/ Zoom ?

I first downloaded the trial version of Pro X3, and then purchased the full version after the trial.
I've downloaded all the patches, but it does not work.
Every single time I try to use the option:
EFFECTS
TEXTURE EFFECTS
TEXTURE
the program crashes.
I've rebooted, restarted with ONLY Paintshop open, and it still crashes. I use the texture option quite frequently.
I've been looking for an option to change the size of the grid (32 x 32, 64 x 64, that sort of thing) but I can't seem to find it, I also can't find any option to snap to grid.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI like having a source and a working image.. so what I end up doing is opening the source, then creating a new image, then copy/paste the layers I want over..then sometimes scale the items, or whatever..
I cant seem to be able to pick multiple layers to copy or scale.. I can chain them and then move em all together ok.. but as for copy/paste scale.. I haven't managed to find where I can group them and copy/scale .
I'm still using Version 4 because I use the 'Fuzz Soft' a lot and it's missing in 5.

Hhow to get that 'brush' into newer versions of PSP? Or bring back that brush into the newer versions?
In previous versions through customize options there was the option to tick for large icons. It has been left out of X4 or is it there and I can't find it. That option was very good for big screens. Do they intend to bring it back in the update along with the colored icons.

View 4 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop Version 13.0.1.This is not a great issue but i think this could be easily fixed by Adobe.If you want to link multiple layers in an image via right click and choose "Link layers..." it doesn't work as expected. But if you issue the link layers command in the layers palette it works. Same problem in 32bit and 64bit Version.
System: Windows 7 x64 SP1
