Photoshop Version 13.0.1.This is not a great issue but i think this could be easily fixed by Adobe.If you want to link multiple layers in an image via right click and choose "Link layers..." it doesn't work as expected. But if you issue the link layers command in the layers palette it works. Same problem in 32bit and 64bit Version.

I've clicked link on two layers and set 'Link Set' to 1 on both. I want to make a selection, and move what is in it. But with the contents from two or more layers, not just one. The move tool seems to always move the background layer, although it's locked. What am I missing. I've been looking for this basic feature for a long time. How does the link layers function work?

The way it is handled now, is awkward and time consuming.
If you want to link layers that are not next to each other, you shift-select all the unwanted ones in between as well. Than you need to de-link those in a second go. (By moving down to buttom for each single layer you need to deselect)
Is this supposed to be a smart improvement?
Is there an on/off option to have individual chain link with every layer, that I have missed?

However, I seem to have run into a problem where the click only works in a certain area of the box. I created the buttons in Photoshop and imported them to Edge. Only the edge of the button closest to the edge of the stage will work for clicking for some odd reason.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have created a psd file with 5 layers. each layer contains a plain un filled box of various sizes. I have created some actions to toggle the visibility of the layers. The layers represent TV format shapes (16:9 4:3 title safe etc). I want to be able to double click on a jpeg and for it to open in photoshop (ok I know how to do that in windows) as the background layer with the other layers I have already created and saved to a psd file on top. Is this possible?
Also. If I have the image with the layers open can I drag an image into it that becomes the background layer?

I frequently encounter this problem across numerous versions of PS (CS4 - CS6)I like to CTRL+click on my layers to select them for convenience. If in the layers panel, I have a Layer Mask selected (that is, the white border highlight is around the alpha mask thumnail) and the mask is unlinked from the layer itself (there is not a link icon bewteen the layer thumb and alpha mask thumb), the CTRL+click feature seems to be disabled.
I have to relink the mask to the layer in order to restore the functionality. This occurs regardless of the order of any of the layers in question.Is this correct?
I know this problem is really simple, but I just can't seem to get it to work. I should be able to left-click on a layer, hold in the shift key while left-clicking on a layer further down the list to select multiple layers. It doesn't work, I can't even get the (Alt-Left Click) command to work, allowing me to select individual layers.
Both these commands work in Image Ready and Flash just fine.
I have checked the keyboard settings, but I am not really sure what to look for - nothing seems out of the ordinary.
I made 2 parts, c cylinder and a plate with a hole, and tried linked the Diameter parameter in the Cylinder file.
First, i chose the Diameter, in the link dialog box, but the new user parameter that was inserted was the file name only.
Secondly, when i activate the Hole parameter in the plate file and select List Parameters in the Equation column, i see only the Hole parameter, not the new one, the Diameter, which i tried to link.
So, the link doesn't work.
But, i have, also, a general question: why do i see, in both files, in the List Parameters dialog, only the parameters which i changed their names? i expected to see all the parameters of the part, no?
i was jus using mvsetup command to rotate a view port nad not my right click won't work?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Maya 2013, and have lost my Right click menu. I get an error message along the lines of "Wrong number of arguments on call to buildBakingMenus" - I'm at work right now, away from Maya, so I do not recall the error #.
When I right click objects, and certain nodes in the hypershade, it does not work. Right clicking does work when holding alt - to zoom and such.
I use PSE9 for digital scrapbooking. Lately, when I have several pictures and elements on the page, I have to click on the Layers Pallette to select an item to move. If I don't click on another item, the item I have just selected will move when I move my mouse. I used to be able to click on an element or picture on the page and move it.

I've used lightroom for a few weeks. I was playing around with the Navigation bar settings. Now my zoom won't work.
1. When I move the cursor near a corner or edge of the photo, the cursor appears as a magnifying glass, and the zoom works just fine.
2. When the cursor is anywhere else on the photo, then the cursor appears as an arrow symbol. And when I click once or twice on the photo in order to zoom, the photo being displayed just switches to another other photo a few behind or forward in the sequence.
I used to be able to click or double click anywhere on the photo being displayed, and I could zoom in on that spot. I wish lightroom were working as it was.
I have auto select turned on and set to layer.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe are starting to install AutoCAD 2014 on our machines. On one of our machines, the user can't get double click editing to work on inserts. I can open the drawing on my machine and it works fine. She is using the same profile and workspace and both machines have SP1 installed. Double click editing works for other objects (MLeaders, Text...) but not for inserts or their attributes. The only way she can edit the attribute text is through the property window.

BUT! If I open autocad file by double click - autocad opened. Now I saw my toolbar, saw my message from Initialize!But any commands didn't work. Autocad said that command is unknown. What can be a problem? My be in Autocad version? I have student version and startup message about it.
Accelerator Keys
My accelerator keys for the right-click object-snap cursor menu do not work. For example, I will be drawing a line and I will bring up the object-snap menu, then I will select ‘E’ for endpoint snap, the ‘e’ will display in the dynamic input window and the snap does not work.
Is there any way I can erase the same exact point on multiple layers with one click of the eraser, rather than doing it on each layer individually (and having to line up that same point again)?

Is there an easy way or an existing script that will allow me to (with one click) create a multi-page PDF consisting of all the layers within my .ai file? The current method is turning on each layer, performing a save-as (PDF), then turning off said layer and turning on the next layer and repeating the task and so-on-and-so-forth, etc … It becomes tedious and quite often I save over the previous version, forgetting to re-name it or forget to perform a save on a certain layer. I have never written my own script before but am not opposed to trying, where do I begin?
