Accelerator Keys
My accelerator keys for the right-click object-snap cursor menu do not work. For example, I will be drawing a line and I will bring up the object-snap menu, then I will select ‘E’ for endpoint snap, the ‘e’ will display in the dynamic input window and the snap does not work.
One of the CAD engineer in my office is facing with a new problem. Until two days back she was able to use the "mid between two points" object snap. But recently it dissappeared from the shift+right click short cut menu. method to bring it back to the shortcut menu?

How do I change the short cut keys in only the right click menu? For example I used to be able to right click then type M for move in 2012. Now in 2013, I have to right click then click V for move. I also used to be able to right click and type O for rotate. Now nothing happens. I have to click again on rotate rather than typing a key. There's a few others I'd like to change.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen zooming, I middle click the mouse to bring up osnaps, then type the letter to force the snap I want. That stopped working today: the menu pops up, I type "E", the menu goes away, but it doesn't default to endpoint, there's an "E" on my command line.
I'm not sure if this is a Service Pack 1 issue or not, but I just installed that yesterday.
I intended to add more option at right click shortcut menu. Is it possible to be done?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an inactive snap shortcut menu. When clicking shift + right mouse button the menu appears but when I typet
"E" for "ENDpoint", "M" for "Midpoint" or when I just click over the respective icons in the menu nothing really happens and I get the following message in the command bar:
"Command: _endp Unknown command "ENDP". Press F1 for help."
or
"Command: _mid Unknown command "MID". Press F1 for help."
I tried following, none of which worked:
1. resetting the main customization file ACA_Global.cuix
2. switching between different profiles and cuix files
3. reinstalling Autocad Architecture 2013
4. uninstalling and Installing Autocad Architecture 2013 service pack 1
5. installing older versions of Autocad (2008 and Architecture 2012)
6. reinstalling Windows 7 and installing Autocad Architecture 2013 again
I'm using Architecture 2012 and all of a sudden the right-click context menus are no longer specific to the selected objects. If I pick a door/window tag, I no longer get the specific options to anchor it to a specific door/window. This is typical of all objects now. All that ever pops up is the basic context menu.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen using the 'space generate' option when inserting a space, the tool automatically turns off 'object snap' and then of course it doesn't turn it back on at the end of the operation. I tend to need to switch back and forth from auto generate to polygonal insertion and having to reset object snap every time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor as long as I can remember, across all versions of Autocad, I've had problems picking the right item on the popup menu for object snap (shift-right click). It frequently picks the item below the intended one, i.e. it will pick Parallel rather than Perpendicular. Trying a second time works every time. This problem has been so consistent that I don't believe it is user error. The item is highlighted, after all. There is no way I'm repeatedly missing it. Is it possible to calibrate the mouse in Autocad?

So far I have found nothing that allows me to Modify Text."To Replace Existing Dimension Text With Alternate Text" it says to "Click Modify menu > Object >Text >Edit." The only Modify menu I can find is the Modify menu at the top showing 12 icons then it's drop down showing 14 more icons. There is no Object icon in that menu. how to Modify Text in LT2013.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI used object snap tracking for years.Since I upgraded to AutoCad 2014 why does object snap tracking only work with Dynamic input turned on?
Personally I do not like to work with Dynamic imput on, when I use object snap tracking with out DI turned on it doen't work right. Past versions worked fine. What do I do to get this back?
I am developing a .NET application that integrates with AutoCAD Architecture. In my .NET application, I provide my user with a list of drawing files (.dwg) that they can choose to open. Once my user has selected a file, my application will open the selected drawing in AutoCAD Architecture. In this drawing, the user can click on an object in the drawing.
Can this mouse click event be captured and the object ID for the selected object be returned to my application?
I have AutoCAD Architecture 2010. When I launch the program it opens up without any problems. But, when I go to the menu and select "File" then "Open" to open up my CAD files nothing happens. My screen just hangs and the ribbon turns a faint white color. I can't open any of my CAD files from the program. In order to stop CAD from hanging and doing nothing, I press the ESC key and everything is back to normal. I am wondering why CAD will not let me open any of my files from the menu.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter a few seconds in the program the menu with all the slides like insert,view,etc. somehow freezes. i can´t pick it anymore. the rest of the program is working,i can work on the work surface with the current tool, but choosing an ew one isn´t possible. i have this problem with different version 2011,12 and even 13....
Working isn´t possible this way.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIm using AutoCAD 09 for the first time and need to find out how to customise my snap commands to F keys. I've been using 2004 and it was really easy. 09 seems to not allow it?
for example i set F4 to end point and F5 to intersection point etc. it saves using O snap or a tab. just L, F4 and its done (for example)
I made a stupid mistake and started lip-syncing a long piece of animation at 25 FPS instead of 24 which I need to use. I just set it to 24 and it put all of my keys on frames like 10.68 or 54.22, it has become really frustrating to animate with. I was wondering if there's some way to snap these keyframes to solid keys instead of having them on decimals, I don't care if the animation is slightly off, I can fix it later.

I have a rather simple 3rd party custom object... I tried to get its bounding box but the coordinates that come back don't seem to relate at all to the object.
What I'd like are the coordinates of two nodes the object contains...
Is it possible to apply the autocad cursor in some why with the node object snap to get their coordinates?
I'm trying to snap one object to the other with vert snap.
It's trying to snap from the center of my object rather then the vert I am hovering over. In the Snap settings I have only "vertex" checked so it should snap to whatever vertex I hover over but no...This keeps up I'm going back to 2008 when all this worked fine.
I have used the marquee tool to select an area and moved it using the cursor keys. Now I want to drop it/commit it even when I hit enter I can't seem to get rid of the marquee flashing surround.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use GIMP 2.6.8 - when I switch to "path" tool or to "free select tool" mouse pointer is allowed to set vertices of the path or selection on non-integer coordinates (i.e. at x=13.5 and y=26.8 pixels)
How can I disable this feature and make mouse pointer (or vertex) snap to pixel boundary (or even to grid). I want it to be able to create paths / selections more accurately sometimes.
(or could I at least enter coordinates for each next vertex manually)
Are Layer Keys only for ACA objects ?
for example:
I'd like my dimensions to be all on layer "D" in the color red.
I added "dimlinear" to the key style. but it just draws dimensions on the current layer.
Since i updated PS (CS6) the last time it has this very strange behavior when i try to position a object via the Arrow Keys.When i hit a Button very fast (3 times) the object jumps back to its very first position where i started to move it.
When it is a new "feature" - where can i turn it off?
I have a HP laptop on which I run AutoCAD 2012 AND Civil3D 2012 both of which for some reason do not have the function keys working as normal. Oddly enough if I attach an external keyboard, the function keys work as expected.
