Inside After Effects, there is an option by selecting all the Layers and go to Keyframe assistance- Sequence Layers. Therefore you have all the layers overlapping each others the way you want without manually adjusting them, and you can create a Slide Show.I wonder If we can do that Inside Premiere Pro.

View 2 Replies View RelatedTrying to animate a rigged model for a class project but I'm running into problems. If I, for example, pick the joint at the top of the hierarchy, in the main view it appears as though everything gets selected. When I try to set a keyframe for the whole model, though, it only gets set on the actual joint I picked, none of the ones below it.
I looked at things via Outliner and see the same problem: I pick a joint there but the ones below it show as unselected in the Outliner window. Right now it appears the only way I can select multiple joints to set a keyframe on them all is to manually expand the tree in Outliner and then explicitly pick each one with command-click or shift-click. If I select an un-expanded joint section in the tree the hidden joints do not get selected, and if I expand the tree and pick a root node the ones below it are not selected.
I have tried this on three different models, including one I rigged myself, and the same behavior is present across all three.
Is this normal behavior for Maya animation? Is there some configuration setting that will change this so I can select an entire skeleton tree via the root node and have all of them accept a keyframe?
I'm running Maya 2011 for the Mac, on OS X Lion, with service pack 1 installed.
As you might see in layer panel. there is a blending option applying on text. and when i try to applying new blending option i-e drop shadow or inner shadow to layer shape 5. it will mess with also to text layer.

The font increases, but the text boxes don't expand to fit the increased size text. So I am having to make each box bigger manually. Is there a way to have the boxes expand to fit bigger text automatically through the layers panel?

Need to save the actual outline of the image to send to a cutter so that once I have printed the image, the cutter will cut it out of the paper (it only recognizes vectors). Does anyone know how to accomplish this. How do you save the outline only? I don't even know if this can be done....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a friend who is just completing a film for a public screening...(about 400 people, mostly volunteers involved in production.)He will be using a regular projector hooked up to a PC to play the video.The source footage is 1080p HD shot on a HVX200. Edited on Premiere Pro CS5.
What format should he use to export so he gets great quality but it can also play without the computer stuttering and dying etc? We've debated between H.264 (mpeg 4 file format) or DVD Blu Ray.MPEG 2 (or some Quicktime format?)
Do we choose h.264 and bump up the bitrate to maximum? Stick with the preset recommendation? There also is h.'264 bluray'..have no idea what difference that makes.
We're not experts on codecs and resolutions etc.Premiere Pro presents this plethora of options.
We want to choose....File ...Export....a format and preset (and maybe adjust a setting or two) and get the best result.
Can't find 1:1.85 aspect option when creating Project.
I have files shot on Canon C300 in 16:9, but we had the 1:1.85 aspect lines on the camera and I can't figure out how to incorporate those frame lines for editing.
Is the best way to do it when creating the project? Or is the best way to edit the files in 16:9 and mask the final product?
On Adobe Premiere Pro CC (up to date, running OSX 10.8.5), when I select an audio clip and a .mov clip and attempt to use the audio sync seen in several tutorials, that option is not available. I only see in points, out points, time code and clip marker for syncronize points. Are there only certain file types that can be synced this way or is there a setting I'm missing?

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsually when I want to work on a different layer, I will select the layer in the layers panel first, or alternatively hold down ctrl and left click on the image in my actual design that's on the layer I wish to change to. However I must have done "something" because now no matter what layer I am on, if I click on a part of my design that's on a different layer to which I am working on, it will automatically select this image and change to this layer. This is highly annoying because every time I am trying to edit something or move something around I suddenly find I am on a different layer again!
I'm not sure how I did this or how to change it back. When I started this design a few days ago it was working normally.
How do i select only a certain layer's and merge or group them together? I though it would be something like... Ctrl + G or etc.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues selecting my layers in CS2. The first thing I noticed is that i'm not able to select more than one unless I put them in a folder. The second issue, new tonight as far as i can tell, happens when i'm selecting a layer in the image by clicking on the graphic and and it doesn't select the one i'm on but rather a layer that is turned off in a folder above. Does anyone know if there is something i can do to reset my layer properties?

(With X3 I simply held down Shift and selected however many layers I wanted). I sometimes need to select dozens of layers at once to delete them or switch off visibility - surely not one at a time? I currently have a >200MB xcf file with nearly 100 different layers which I need to adjust before I merge then down a bit. I have found that you can find where the layer is in the list by holding the left mouse button down while hovering the cursor over it, but it always then disappears off the screen and it's a chore trying to find it. I have all the layers named, but it would be a lot more convenient if there was a way to select the layer through the image itself?
When you're selecting layers directly from an image (using CTRL) you also select adjustment layers, so sometimes you have to lock this layer in order to get to the right layer.
It would be a lot easier to manipulate many layers (usually in my case, most of them have the adjustment layer setting 'attached' to them) if i wouldn't select these 'adjustments' when I click on the canvas. Is it actually possible to do?
I'm now using Photoshop CS6 and I've noticed that selecting all layers is having a major drain of CPU.I've run Activity Monitor and with SAL on the %CPU is showing 238! This seems crazy, but I can't work out why? There must be an error in CS6?
Even without SAL on the %CPU is still reading 131.I am using the mixer brushes and I am aware that these are a big problem in PS, but should it be this bad?

there are a very strange thing when I select some layers with Move Tool (V). An example:
I have too many layers. If I hide or block some of them and I try to select with the Move Tool (clicking on any layout point and dragging) I can't select it. This is the right behaviour.
The problem appears if those layers are in a group and I hide or block the group. In this case the layers are selected with the same operation. And this is tedious when you have too many layers grouped and you want to block all of them.
Summarize:
- If I block each layer individually, all is right; I can`t select it.
- If I block the group, I can select the layers, and this is wrong.
Is it possible to select entities of multiple layers?

locked objects get selected, but nothing acts on them. that is i do see them getting dotted while i selected all objects on other unlocked layers. is there way that locked layers don't get dotted while selection? just like in sketchup?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use auto-select primarily when designing. I will often clicking and dragging a marquee box to select multiple objects. I immediately noticed that it is now selecting hidden layers as well, where it didn't before.
Is there a setting or way to change this? I am assuming as of now that this is a new change. They will still select even if the layers are locked so locking groups is not a solution for this.
I'm using the Photoshop CC in Windows8 64x as trial and find a curious bug with the Move Tool:Usually I select multiple layers creating a selection with the Move Tool on them, but in this new CC version the tool is selecting hidden layers too. More details: the hidden layer are inside a folder. The folder is hidden, but the inside layers are not.
This type of selection has always worked perfectly in previously versions, and of course, I leave the option "Auto Select> Layer" enabled.

I would have thought that if I click on an object (in the document area) it should select the layer. But this does not happen. In order to select an layer, I have to select it from the Layers palette.

i switched from CS5 to CS6 Extended (Win 7 64bit) and I'm a little bit confused about the select/move tool (V). I have "automatic selection" activated and when I click on a layer, Photoshop often selects a nearby layer but not the one I'm clicking at - often the layer selected is more on top of the layer I was planning to select, but that was no problem in CS5 ... Is there anything I can change in the settings or is this behavior "normal"?
For example - a cursor placed at the marked position selected the white arrow-vector-shape.
