The option to edit in Photoshop CS4 from Lightroom 4 and return is just fine. However, the option to Open images as layers in Photoshop is grayed out as well as the option to open as Smart Object or Merge.

I used to 'merge to panorama', or 'open as layers' in Photoshop regularly, but today it no longer works. When I try, the message comes up: "This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in version 6.6 for full compatibility. Please update the Camera Raw plug-in using the update tool available in the Photoshop help menu."

When I go to Photoshop Help Menu, 'no available updates at this time' is the message that comes up. I manually downloaded the Camera Raw 6.6, but to no avail.

When attempting to edit using PS, the program DOES open, but nothing happens... the files do not appear. They DO open individually when Edit in Photoshop CS4 is selected, but I prefer the 'open in layers' option, and often use the 'merge to panorama'...
When in LR 4Â selecting "Edit inPhoto Shop CS5" for an image I no longer get the edit option box to choose "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Settings" . This seems to have vanished in LR4. I would like to re-enable this option. Right now I get a original file in PS/CS5 without the ability to select some other option.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically what I need to do is capture a video shot, and place a play button on top of it. I thought the simplest way would be to just open each image as a separate layer but couldn't find a way to do that.
Eventually I made the screen shot the background image of an html page, and the play button the foreground image. Then I was able to position them just the way I wanted and capture a screen shot, then trim and edit in Gimp.

Why isn't the GPS-Coordination not included?
I have about 9000 missing or offline images according to my Lightroom3 software.
However, they're not! I can see them in the folders on an external drive where Lightroom says they are not. When I try to reimport them, Lightroom says they are already there, doubly confusing?!
How to get them back in my Library so I can use them.
All my images have a bar across the top which says 'the file name is missing or offline' this is on the screen.

I had to restore images I deleted off my SD card and when I uploaded them into LR they appear whole in the scroller at the bottom but when clicked on, some have large chunks of the image missing. Is it possible to restore the WHOLE image?

I have re-installed CS5 but no returning email has arrived from Adobe confirming instillation activty has been completed.
3D option is not on my menu bar , and none of the tool setting show 3D options either. All Screen shots I have seen of Photoshop CS6 have this and I don't.

So I need (again I think) to Deactivate it on PC #1 before I can activate it on PC #2. The online help says that under the Help menu I should see a Deactivate option. But I don't. The options under Help are Photoshop Help, About Photoshop, About Plugin... , Patent and Legal notices, System Info, Photoshop Online, and a whole load of How-to's about using the product. Can anyone advise how I can deactivate and move this installation? The product version is 10.0.1 and the OS is WinXP SP2.

Those I am missing are ones that I had in an external folder that you could set in preferences. The ability to set an Additional Plugin Folder is gone. Can I set an external plugin folder?
