I plan on getting a larger storage device for my Mac to accomadate my growing image files. When I install this device, and transfer my images to it, will Lightroom show these images as "missing"? If so, how would I correct that.

I just opened Lightroom and was prompted to do an upgrade (4.3) now my catalogs are all gone. How can I get them back?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from 3.5 to 3.6 this morning and now 3/4 of my photo's show as gray boxes in the panel at the bottom of the screen. I click on the little question mark near the box and it tells me that the photo is missing. the box next to the question mark tells me the previos location and asks me if I want to locate it. This is new as of the upgrade. What should I do? This is happening with a couple thousand photographs.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have LR 4.2 on Windows 7 x64 (having recently upgraded from LR3).After flagging images in a collection as rejected I want to remove them from disk.In LR3 I just clicked Ctrl + Backspace and I had the option to delete from disk or just remove from catalogue, I don't get that option in LR4
worked fine in LR3. I've searched the preferences and can't see any option, I've also clicked "reset all dialogues" in case that was hiding the option but still nothing. I've tried in Library and Develop and no option still, I can only remove from catalog
when I hit CMD and backspace, in order to delete images from disk, I only have the option to 'remove' photos. Up until tonight I always had to choose whether to remove them or delete from disk. Not sure what has changed or what I have done wrong, it's always worked before. I'm using an imac and LR4.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't import ANY images to LR 4.4 since upgrading my Mac OS to Mountain Lion 10.8.3 this past week. I downloaded LR5 Beta and all works well. I deleted LR5 Beta to see if it was conflicting with LR4.4 somehow and rebooted. Still no change. I can't import from my card reader (that says it can't even read the files) or from a location on my hard drive. The error message for importing is "Could not copy a file to requested location."
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I used LR3.6 The Library option listed all my files on the left hand side under 'Folder' and showed a sub-folder for each year 2009-2012. I have now upgraded to LR4, and all I can see is 2011. During the install process of LR$ it asked me if I wanted to upgrade the process model, which I said yes and it did. Then, because I had read that 4.1 fixed a lot of issues, I downloaded and installed RC4.1 which I am running now.
How do I make LR4 show me all my Folders? I don't think I should be re-importing them all.
I upgraded to 4.1 form 4. When I restarted I connected to my catalogue. I git a message asking if I wanted to convert images for 4.1. I said OK. Now I cannot see any images in the catalogue. The image information (ie, name of image and a blank space where image would be) are there.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI know that I have on occasion gotten stupid and selected "Remove" after marking images as rejected, when I meant to select Delete From Disk. I believe this means I have image files on my hard drive that no longer appear in the Lightroom catalog, but I don't want them at all. I meant to move them to the trash bin, but, like I said, just hit the wrong button for some reason.
Is there any way I can search for images still in my folders on my hard drive (where I save them when imported in Lightroom) that no longer appear in my catalog? I'd like to clean up my hard drive before transfering images to a new computer.
Is there a way to burn a disk of multiple images with your logo on each image?
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Lightroom 4.3 with Camera RAW 7.3 on latest MacBook Pro with 256 GB SSD harddisk, 8 GB internal memory bought 2 months ago. Hardware shows no other problems or malfunctioning, no issues with RAM or otherwise.
Started Lightroom 4.3 did an import from perfect images (viewed before using various other software packages) stored on the harddisk. Used option ADD to add to the catalog. Almost immediately certain images were showing missing areas or areas with pink/white stripes, etc.
I didn't even touch the images to view or edit them. The images were corrupted on disk as previewing them with other software packages showed.
longtime lightroom user mac 10.7.5 upgraded to 4.4 and now cannot import to designated catalog on external 4TB drive with good permissions on the drive and folders.am able to import to other drives, but not the one I mentioned?

I'm now switching from Aperture to Lightroom. But now I've big troubles with my geotagged images (+40'000) I export my photos with a seperate XMP files. In Bridge is see the GPS-Tag but when I import the photos in Lightroom then the location isn't imported!
Why isn't the GPS-Coordination not included?
I have about 9000 missing or offline images according to my Lightroom3 software.
However, they're not! I can see them in the folders on an external drive where Lightroom says they are not. When I try to reimport them, Lightroom says they are already there, doubly confusing?!
How to get them back in my Library so I can use them.
All my images have a bar across the top which says 'the file name is missing or offline' this is on the screen.

Using VS X6 with one video track and one title track. The problem I have is when I choose the 'Create Disk' option, Create ISO the resulting ISO is missing the Title track.
If I 'Create Video File' and select DVD 16x9 it creates the MPEG file fine with Title track.
Have I missed a setting tick box somewhere?
I've uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled same missing titles problem.
I've been using Video Studio for years and never experienced anything like this.
I finished my HD project in VS X3. It consist of 1920x1080 clips, titles, music, transitions. It was compiled as AVCHD NTFS 1920x1080. I got a 8 min 13 sec file as just over 1Gb in size. It was payed well in the computer.
Then I tried to get a hybrid DVD by using DF7SE. I choose DVD=>AVCHD, add simple menu and burned a disk. When I tried to play on TV screen by using blue-ray player I found that only menu screen exists, but no my video yet.
I repeated this after number of re-compilations. Even I re-install DF7SE. But result was the same. Then I put into my hybrid disk this mpg file and couple similar 1920x1080 AVCHD files from my prvious projects. Also I slightly modified my last project file, compiled under different name and put into the same disk.
In a burned disk I can see a menu of all four files. But on TV screen I can watch only two files from my older projects.
I couldn't find any differences in older and newer projects.
