I loaded some old, saved images I have on disk to Lightroom. When I attempt to export the image to email, the command states It can't locate the mage, even though I am looking at it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have LR 4.2 on Windows 7 x64 (having recently upgraded from LR3).After flagging images in a collection as rejected I want to remove them from disk.In LR3 I just clicked Ctrl + Backspace and I had the option to delete from disk or just remove from catalogue, I don't get that option in LR4
worked fine in LR3. I've searched the preferences and can't see any option, I've also clicked "reset all dialogues" in case that was hiding the option but still nothing. I've tried in Library and Develop and no option still, I can only remove from catalog
when I hit CMD and backspace, in order to delete images from disk, I only have the option to 'remove' photos. Up until tonight I always had to choose whether to remove them or delete from disk. Not sure what has changed or what I have done wrong, it's always worked before. I'm using an imac and LR4.

Is it possible to email photos as attachments (jpg), not embededed within email? Mac users report when they receive the email, photo is only embedded, there is no attachment so they cannot download.
Is there anyway to get the user settings transferred to the new hard drive without the usual export?
The old hard drive is installed as a slave, I can read the data but it will not boot.

I know that I have on occasion gotten stupid and selected "Remove" after marking images as rejected, when I meant to select Delete From Disk. I believe this means I have image files on my hard drive that no longer appear in the Lightroom catalog, but I don't want them at all. I meant to move them to the trash bin, but, like I said, just hit the wrong button for some reason.
Is there any way I can search for images still in my folders on my hard drive (where I save them when imported in Lightroom) that no longer appear in my catalog? I'd like to clean up my hard drive before transfering images to a new computer.
Is there a way to burn a disk of multiple images with your logo on each image?
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Lightroom 4.3 with Camera RAW 7.3 on latest MacBook Pro with 256 GB SSD harddisk, 8 GB internal memory bought 2 months ago. Hardware shows no other problems or malfunctioning, no issues with RAM or otherwise.
Started Lightroom 4.3 did an import from perfect images (viewed before using various other software packages) stored on the harddisk. Used option ADD to add to the catalog. Almost immediately certain images were showing missing areas or areas with pink/white stripes, etc.
I didn't even touch the images to view or edit them. The images were corrupted on disk as previewing them with other software packages showed.
When I update photo's to current process in LR 4.1RC, and then edit them in Photoshop, I don't see the changes I've made in LR (Exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites and blacks) in CS5.
If I don't update them, all changes are perfectly transferred to CS5.
I've shot some video clips with DSLRs, and imported into Lightroom4 along with my stills, with normal Import metadata applied. All looks good in LR.
Videos are generated as .MOV files.If I open a video in Photoshop CS6, and look at File Info, there is nothing there, not even camera info let alone the LR import preset with copyright info etc., nor the keywords and caption that I added in LR? Metadata for videos is also blank if I look at the file with Bridge.
Metadata for stills (including what was added in LR) is visible in both PS File Info and in Bridge.Why doesn't PS or Bridge see any metadata for the video files?
Separate problem, although perhaps related, is that I made some develop edits to the video in LR (using capture frame, develop, save as preset, then apply preset to the video file). All looks good in LR, as well as exported files. However, if I want to use enhanced capability in CS6, there is no "edit in" available as there is with stills. If I open the video directly in CS6, none of the edits show; I get the as-shot file (which I can understand). Is there any way to open the video in CS6 with LR edits applied? At least be presented the option of doing this or opening the as-shot file? If I open the file in Corel's Video Studio Pro, the LR adjustments are there (clipped to length and colour and tonal adjustments applied).
Since transferring my photo files from my hard drive to an external drive(without telling lightroom) I have completely lost all connections between lightroom and the new destination (my external drive). There is no sign of anything at all in Lightroom. It shows 0 photos, my preferences seem gone, and it is as though I have just loaded up lightroom for the very first time. Do I need to start from scratch and reimport my photos or is there some way I can retreive/reconnect the photos so I have the edits I have already made?

Now, when I open a "collection", the photo files are no longer associated with the collection. How do I reassign a location to these files in these collections?

I checked my second computer and it works fine but for some reason my laptop LR4 is not saving the edits to my images. I open the subfolder for LR images and they are untouched.
other than using my second computer! My workflow is set up to edit on Laptop and do bookeeping on my PC.
I cannot export images from LR to computer. It tells me there is not enough memory, but I have 60gb free
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince the last update I am having images corrupted (truncated) by lightroom, when I open some files in CS5 i get the message about the file being truncated and then only half the image come up.
If I export the file again from LR it works so it's not the usual card malfunction or import errors, my hard drive is in fully working order and tested with drive sentinal.
I'd like to export images from Lightroom 4 with a watermark. It COULD be text, but I want to rotate the watermark 30 degrees. I can't see a way to do that in the watermark editor in Lightroom...
Alternatively, I created the watermark in Photoshop, put in the text, rotated it, and saved it as a jpeg. I can't get a clear background. It appears jpeg doesn't support that. SO, I saved it as a .png (jpg and png appear to be the only two formats supported for a graphic watermark in Lightroom). It looks FINE, except in Photoshop the text is WHITE, which is what I want in Lightroom, but every time I open the .png file in the watermark editor in Lightroom, it comes in with BLACK text...
How do I get a Lightroom export watermark with the text I want in the font I want, angled the way I want?
I have LR 5.3 and everything has been working fine. Now I cannot export more that 5 images even though I have checked my registration number and it is correct.I am using Windows 7, 64 bit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've Created a droplet and tested it successfully in Photoshop, then I use this droplet by select it in Post-Processing when I export DNG to TIFF in Lightroom, but there's a problem:
1. If PS is not opened when I'm exporting images in LR, the droplet will work well, i'll get an processed TIFF
2. If PS is opened before I'm exporting images in LR, the droplet won't work, then I get an unprocessed TIFF
Due to Situation 1, if PS is not opened when I'm exporting images and I tried to exported 30 images with droplet, finally I'll get only ONE image successfully processed, because PS was opened when LR export the first image.
Lightroom 4.3 no longer exports photos correctly.
Error Message is :- Unable to Export :- an internal error has occurred; WIN32 API error 2 (the system cannot find the file specified) when calling ShellexecuteExW fromAgWorkspace.shellexecute.
Photos are exported, but without the EXIF data?
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom. I have also tried Restoring Win 7 to an earlier build, but with no success.
I edit an image in Lr5, and it's crips and perfect. But then I export it and it's hazy and out of focus looking. I've tried exporting it as a psd, then opening it in ps and changing it to jpeg....it's a TAD more clear...but nothing like it is in lightroom. All of my settings are set like they "should" be as far as I know. jpeg, 300ppi, quality is at 100... all of that.
