When I update photo's to current process in LR 4.1RC, and then edit them in Photoshop, I don't see the changes I've made in LR (Exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites and blacks) in CS5.
If I don't update them, all changes are perfectly transferred to CS5.
I've shot some video clips with DSLRs, and imported into Lightroom4 along with my stills, with normal Import metadata applied. All looks good in LR.
Videos are generated as .MOV files.If I open a video in Photoshop CS6, and look at File Info, there is nothing there, not even camera info let alone the LR import preset with copyright info etc., nor the keywords and caption that I added in LR? Metadata for videos is also blank if I look at the file with Bridge.
Metadata for stills (including what was added in LR) is visible in both PS File Info and in Bridge.Why doesn't PS or Bridge see any metadata for the video files?
Separate problem, although perhaps related, is that I made some develop edits to the video in LR (using capture frame, develop, save as preset, then apply preset to the video file). All looks good in LR, as well as exported files. However, if I want to use enhanced capability in CS6, there is no "edit in" available as there is with stills. If I open the video directly in CS6, none of the edits show; I get the as-shot file (which I can understand). Is there any way to open the video in CS6 with LR edits applied? At least be presented the option of doing this or opening the as-shot file? If I open the file in Corel's Video Studio Pro, the LR adjustments are there (clipped to length and colour and tonal adjustments applied).
I loaded some old, saved images I have on disk to Lightroom. When I attempt to export the image to email, the command states It can't locate the mage, even though I am looking at it.

There is no sign of anything at all in Lightroom. It shows 0 photos, my preferences seem gone, and it is as though I have just loaded up lightroom for the very first time. Do I need to start from scratch and reimport my photos or is there some way I can retreive/reconnect the photos so I have the edits I have already made?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been working on items in Illustrator, and noticed a HUGE change when I transfer them into Photoshop. What I am doing is creating images (and text) in Illustrator.
Then I select, Control + C to copy, then I paste into my 300dpi document in Photoshop to add textures, etc. Once they are brought in... the text is pixelated and not clear like it is in Illustrator.

I'm running Elements 11 along with Organizer. I shoot in Nikon RAW (.NEF), open in Organizer, then edit and save in Elements to JPG format. My new photos work fine, but the old files have lost their associativity between the original RAW file and the resulting JPG. Last night I purchased Elements 12 online. Prior to my purchase, I chatted with an Adobe techie to make sure Elements 12 would properly overwrite/remove Elements 9 currently on my computer and replace it with the Elements 12. I was assured this would be the case, it wasn't. Not only do I still have Elements 9 on my system but, when my pictures were transferred from Elements 9 to 12, they were all transferred as single thumbnail pictures instead of the Folders containing specific pictures. I don't relish the thought of creating new Folders and transfering close to a thousand pictures pertaining to a specific Folder that were in my Elements 9. Just wondering if the download of Elements 12 was really successful based upon what happened.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using illustrator since cs2. And since then i have been troubling with the texts which created in another program. Mostly Microsoft Word.
After converting .doc to .pdf, texts get seperated.
You can see what i mean from the screen shot. As you see all dots on left hand side are seperated and the text which seperated by space button also becomes different text boxs. I moved the texts on the 4th line to point it out. Is there a tool or trick to build the words in to a single text sentence or paragraph? I imagine a tool like shape builder. I need this badly because i have plenty of pages to fix.
I uninstalled Lightroom, because it was too slow on my computer. It put a lot of library files and directories in My pictures folder.
When I use a backup program (SyncbackSE) to backup my pictures, it starts to scan all the Lightroom library files and it takes forever (hours and counting). Even though Windows cannot find the directories (with hidden and system files shown). I want to completely delete the Lightroom directories, because now I can't backup my images anymore. It is a pain in the dark places.
Before, I could do a Command-E to open in Photoshop, do a Save As (to the Desktop, for instance) and it wouldn't get put into Lightroom. Now when doing a Save As from Photoshop, the edited file gets put back into Lightroom. What am I missing?

I uninstall this program and I did delete every word of Adobe Lightroom from my registry many times. Reinstall the program again hoping to start fresh and new but still most of the keywords are there. I am really thinking to do a major surgical operation to my PC by formatting my hard drive.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just ordered a mac to put in a spare office and according to my LR5 retail box it has both the win and mac version on the DVD however when I view the files on the disc I only see a 64 & 32 bit windows .exe even when i view "all hidden files and folders"
So i was wondering if there's a reason I'm not seeing the .dmg on the DVD, If I download the .dmg I can see the .dmg file on my pc so i was curious why i can't see it on the dvd. the dvd is 1.2 +GB but the "visible" files on the DVD equal just over 800MB
I am basically just trying to find out the logical reason why it looks this way before my mac computer arrives because I keep asking myself if I have a bad dvd or is there a simple reason why I can't see the .dmg on the dvd.
There's no way this is possible is there? I only just discovered how to add more than 5 rows, but can't figure out the filename display in the advanced settings.......

What I'm not entirely clear about though is whether that will only apply to newly created DNG files or to existing ones as well.
Adobe updated the spec on DNG formats for Lightroom 4 according to this article and I'm wondering about what this might mean in the longterm to DNG files that were converted in the past and whether old ones can or should be updated to the latest spec.
