View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the image extracted from the original photo and now I want to place it in a new background, but I cant seem how to figure out how. I have used the magic wand tool and selected all then cut and paste, then remove the white area to reveal the new background, but then I'm not able to position the photo where i want it in the new background. I have done a search on youtube and a google search, and have alot of info, but not what I'm looking for. I'm using elements 7. Anybody have a good link for me to watch or a good explanaiton. BTW I am a total newbie to photoshop, this is only my second day having the software.

Â
Sometimes a client will email me a proof or low res photo of mine asking for a high res version, without the original filename, and sometimes they take a screenshot so my metadata is missing (so can't look up by date, etc). It would be handy to do a LR reverse image search (like Tineye.com, Google image search, etc).
My end result is to make corrections on a digital image and save to print.
Open image from digital camera
Duplicate
Crop, make any corrections
Image Size – change to the size I want and resolution to 300
Save and print
I'm trying to convert some of my digital images into an image that children are able to color in when printed out.
Does anyone know the best way to do this with Photoshop of Paint Shop Pro?
I've been to many tutorial sites but just can't seem to get the right effect.
All I want is for my image to be white with black lines outlining the edges so that my children can be creative and color them in.
how do I convert a digital image to a negative?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm making a multiple monitor panorama and need to reverse the halves of the large image - 3840x1200 since my primary monitor is on the right.
So I can precisely select the parts I want since Select Rectangle has a precise mode in the tool options. But move has no precise mode.
Don't we need a precise mode in the Move tool too?
Not sure where to pass this along to the Gimpers, but it's the only thing I've found missing.
know of a PS plugin or a freestanding app with which I can tweak images based on digital sound patterns? I use PS CS3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a very large piece of artwork in my possession. The artwork was originally drawn in high-resolution on a computer, but a true digital copy of the original is not available to the public.
My copy of the artwork is large enough such that the original pixels can just barely be distinguished by the naked eye. I would like to scan it in at extremely high resolution, or take photos of it (multiple photos of various sections may be necessary for enough resolution). Afterwards, I am wondering if Photoshop, some available filter, or other image-processing program would be able to analyze this ultra-resolution scan and reconstruct a perfect copy of the original digital image?
The idea is that if I can see the original pixels with my eye, Photoshop should be able to likewise deduce all the original pixels of the original digital image, and reconstruct it as such via some algorithm, in the original resolution.
I am trying to alter or create a colorspace preset/profile that would allow me to open a digital image in Lightroom or Photoshop that ultamately changes the colorspace to one that simulates the view of a dog. All I really have to go on is the two spctrums shown in the image below.
View 11 Replies View Relatedthere are two steps that have to be done:
1) convert the new digital image into an black and white one with that special look (is it the contrast, that makes that special b/w-look?)
2) make it look like disturbed or cracked, cut u and incomplete around the corners, a look, that must be the result of that old technique they have used for the photos at that time.
Is it possible to recreate that look for images, done with a digital camera today?(I have added a example image of an "old west show" I did, that is one of the images I would like to manipulate)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've shot some video clips with DSLRs, and imported into Lightroom4 along with my stills, with normal Import metadata applied. All looks good in LR.Â
Videos are generated as .MOV files. If I open a video in Photoshop CS6, and look at File Info, there is nothing there, not even camera info let alone the LR import preset with copyright info etc., nor the keywords and caption that I added in LR? Metadata for videos is also blank if I look at the file with Bridge.Â
Â
Metadata for stills (including what was added in LR) is visible in both PS File Info and in Bridge. Why doesn't PS or Bridge see any metadata for the video files?Â
Â
Separate problem, although perhaps related, is that I made some develop edits to the video in LR (using capture frame, develop, save as preset, then apply preset to the video file). All looks good in LR, as well as exported files. However, if I want to use enhanced capability in CS6, there is no "edit in" available as there is with stills. If I open the video directly in CS6, none of the edits show; I get the as-shot file (which I can understand). Is there any way to open the video in CS6 with LR edits applied? At least be presented the option of doing this or opening the as-shot file? If I open the file in Corel's Video Studio Pro, the LR adjustments are there (clipped to length and colour and tonal adjustments applied).Â
I have transferred several catalogues from Photoshop v2 but lost all the tagging.
