Photoshop Elements :: Transferred Albums After Upgrade - Lost Captions
Mar 14, 2014I upgraded from Photoshop 6 to Photoshop Elements 11 under Windows. My albums transferred ok, but I lost my captions. Can they be retrieved?

Lightroom :: Lost Titles / Captions With Upgrade To LR3
Nov 27, 2011I just realized that I have lost all my titles and captions when I had upgraded to LR 3.5. I thought when I was moving my LR catalogues to my new computer, I might as well upgrade. Now I find out that not only have all the original file names been lost, or dropped (only my custom name&sequence.dng shows up, but now i realize that all the hours & hours of titling and captioning all my images in LR 2.6 is missing. Does this mean that I have to go all the way back to my last back-ups of LR 2.6? and then what?

Oct 2, 2012Since transferring my photo files from my hard drive to an external drive(without telling lightroom) I have completely lost all connections between lightroom and the new destination (my external drive). There is no sign of anything at all in Lightroom. It shows 0 photos, my preferences seem gone, and it is as though I have just loaded up lightroom for the very first time. Do I need to start from scratch and reimport my photos or is there some way I can retreive/reconnect the photos so I have the edits I have already made?

Since installing CS6, however, Lightroom can no longer find my Photoshop installation and, as a result, all the Photoshop-specific "Edit In..." options offered by Lightroom ("Merge to panorama", "Open as Smart Object", "Open as layers", etc) are greyed out. I use these a lot and would really like to get them back but I can't see anything that lets me point Lightroom at my Photoshop installation other than adding it as a external editor (which doesn't reinstate these options).

I shoot in Nikon RAW (.NEF), open in Organizer, then edit and save in Elements to JPG format. My new photos work fine, but the old files have lost their associativity between the original RAW file and the resulting JPG. Is there any way I can restore the associativity for the files that were transferred from my old PC?

Sep 25, 2012If I copy a bunch of pictures from PSE 10 & then load them into a tablet (galaxy tab 2 10.1) should all of the Tags still have all of the EXIF data & tag information from PSE? The reason that I ask is because I looked at a few picture copied this way & the tablet gives the choice of displaying things like where picture taken,presumably from GPS data as well as by date taken etc?
I can call up some picture with where taken but none that would have used other tags.
Photoshop Elements :: Transferred As Single Thumbnail Pictures Instead Of The Folders?
Dec 19, 2013Last night I purchased Elements 12 online. Prior to my purchase, I chatted with an Adobe techie to make sure Elements 12 would properly overwrite/remove Elements 9 currently on my computer and replace it with the Elements 12. I was assured this would be the case, it wasn't. Not only do I still have Elements 9 on my system but, when my pictures were transferred from Elements 9 to 12, they were all transferred as single thumbnail pictures instead of the Folders containing specific pictures. I don't relish the thought of creating new Folders and transfering close to a thousand pictures pertaining to a specific Folder that were in my Elements 9. Just wondering if the download of Elements 12 was really successful based upon what happened.

Nov 29, 2011I caption my football photos with each player's two digit jersey number, ie. 01-99. I then upload them to SmugMug with the intent of allowing viewers to use the "search" function to view photos of only their player. Unfortunately, the SmugMug search engine ignores any caption that has 2 or less characters. I would like to append all my football captions in Lightroom 3 with an additional identifier to lengthen the caption so it will become searchable, for example append the "01" to "Titans01". I don't care if identifier is at beginning or end. I just want to be able to append an entire album at one time, not just one at a time.
