I'm still using Version 4 because I use the 'Fuzz Soft' a lot and it's missing in 5.

Hhow to get that 'brush' into newer versions of PSP? Or bring back that brush into the newer versions?
I have a 5-6 year Gateway PC with PSP XI installed with Vista. I will be getting a new Gateway next week with WIN 7. I would like to D/L the trial version of PSP X3 to my present PC with Vista without removing PSP XI. Would this work? Would I have trouble removing PSP X3 when I an done testing?

The Help File is no different than what was found in X3 and doesn't mention Block Size. What this slider does?
I recently upgraded to Paintshop Photo Pro X3. On my old computer, I have Paintshop Pro 9.
I first downloaded the trial version of Pro X3, and then purchased the full version after the trial.
I've downloaded all the patches, but it does not work.
Every single time I try to use the option:
EFFECTS
TEXTURE EFFECTS
TEXTURE
the program crashes.
I've rebooted, restarted with ONLY Paintshop open, and it still crashes. I use the texture option quite frequently.
In previous versions through customize options there was the option to tick for large icons. It has been left out of X4 or is it there and I can't find it. That option was very good for big screens. Do they intend to bring it back in the update along with the colored icons.

I'm trying to place a highly detailed street map over a low-resolution relief map. The street map looks great zoomed in but the relief map is all fuzzy - you can kind of make out the lakes alright...Is there a way to sharpen the relief map?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Paint.NET. I've installed a plugin or two, and I'm very happy with the results I'm getting. But one problem is bugging me, and I can't seem to figure out how/if Paint.NET has a way to meet this need.
I want to be able to use the clone stamp tool with a soft edge rather than a sharp dividing line. I was thinking this might be doable with a custom brush, but after a bit more reading, I don't think it can. Is there a way to clone with a soft/feathered edge?
I have a number of clips that were soft imported, then used in the paint module to remove some blemishes. I have since done a 'store local copy' on the original clips.
The painted clip still has the 'soft' indicator. How do I update the painted clip?
Is there a way to go into the history of the painted clip and replace the soft import with the local copy? Do I 'store local copy' on the painted clip?
I'm working on making a really awesome pic but I'm stuck. The style I use in all of my pics is by making a new layer, changing it to color mode, then making rainbow colors with a really soft brush. Everything was going fine until I threw some text in there. Now when I paint, the text stays the same color!

Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
I've noticed when you tilt things using Rotate/Zoom the edges and some finer details can get quite jaggy.Pretty much like in Shape3D unless you check the AA option and raise the level up to 4/5. Then all the creases are ironed out and detail is kept Is it even possible to put an AA option into Rotate/ Zoom ?

When I try to select the source, the TWAIN option is grayed-out and will not allow to be selected. My question is: Why is this option grayed-out. Does Corel X6 64 bit support TWAIN scanners?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI wanted to convte an image to a quadtone then paste the original color image as a new object-layer beneath it, then experiment with the two with blending and masking techniques. But,When I try to save the quadtone image as a tiff, the option to do so isn't there. Only CPT, PSD and a few other options are avilable.
When I copy and paste the original image as a new object, it's also automatically converted to the quadtone of the layer beneath it.
