I have missed this completely, but is there any plan in PDN v4.0 to make a 'solo layer' option? I have no problem with just un-ticking all the other layers, but it can get a little tedious when working with many layers .

View 6 Replies View RelatedI cannot stand it when I make a new layer in Illustrator and the color hint becomes yellow. This usually happens on the third new layer into every project. I can go in and manually change it from yellow to the ten plus other colors, but I just want yellow completely out of the list. It's awful to look at, and I think every other color is easier.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm attempting to delete a design option that we created in order to alleviate model creation conflicts. Â We were testing whether it was to be a sub-category design option or a main heading, so I just modeled a couple things (in a floor plan that was created months ago in another design option) to try and get them to show up. Â When I realized that sub-category was not the way to go, I tried to delete that design option and it removed the floor plan I was using.
I examined the "Visible in Option" line and it has the name of an option that I'm not deleting, so....? Â Now what? Â I just want to clean up my model and remove that test design option.
I can add a vignette to a layer but how do I make a layer just for the vignette? I want to treat the vignette layer just like an adjustment layer and be able to return to it for modification.

View 6 Replies View Relatedin action schematic i can select any surface and press 'solo' , i can see the output on viewer. This is very cool feature. But if i switch the surface to other surface/image then the viewer won't update properly. I have to refresh by click to turn off and on again the 'solo' button. This will be great if the auto update is fixed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn LR you can set the left and right panels, in the development module, to solo mode, and I think nearly everyone does. My problem is that I lose the mode each time I leave LR and have to reset it each time I enter LR. Normally the panel’s stays in solo mode and in previous versions have. I’ve been using LR since the public beta way back in 12/2006.

IÂ put the first floor plan as underlay, and selected the RCP projection but I don't see the dropped ceiling lines to select them with the linework command. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have two maps of same area (different years) and I want to match them up as one map. I can load them both as layers and make the older map transparent so that I can see through to newer map, but older map is larger than the newer map (in the background). I can move the transparent map but I cannot make just the transparent map smaller to fit over the other map. I will also need to rotate the map slightly. When I try to resize it changes both maps. I have tried the transform and the move tool. So how can I make one layer smaller and rotate it it leaving the other layer intact?

I've just upgraded from Photoshop7 to CS2 and have noticed that the 'link' option have been removed from the 'Layer Window' (the little box which was next to the 'eye' that you could check to select certain layers and then manipulate those particular layers together like free transform, flatten etc.)
I normally use this feature alot and cannot find another way of doing it, is it possible to reinstate this feature or does anyone know a way of still doing this within CS2?
Is there an option to move just a portion of a layer (with the Move, Scale, or Rotate tools, for example) without having to first copy the portion, then delete it, and then paste it as a whole new layer?
For instance, if you have a picture of a house and there's a tree off to the side, and you want to shrink the tree a bit so the house looks bigger. Currently, I would ( a ) copy the tree, ( b ) delete that selection, and ( c ) paste the tree as a new layer....and then finally (d) shrink that.
But could I simply select the tree and shrink it on the same layer?
I just started using elements today and I am trying to learn things. On the picture I am working on when I go to adda layer or even a mask it is not allowing me to click on it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThere's a new feature where you can opt to drag a layer mask to the trash and NOT be prompted to "apply layer mask?". This also has the "do not show again" option -which I clicked by accident. So the default is now to apply layer mask when I drag a layer mask to the trash. I can't think of any way to restore the more traditional function, without restoring all other prefs.

So what I would like is a way to restore the more classic default where dragging a layer mask to trash give me the OPTION to apply or discard.
When I go to do a dimension it changes to the dimension layer and then I have to change back to my object layer is there a way to turn this option off?

The gif becomes all grainy and white when it started out and you can see the layers from before still showing while the other layers are playing.
I have this drawing that I just finished. There were a few dotted lines that were showing up correctly in model space. Then, when I switched over to paper space all of those lines were solid. I messed around with the option LTSCALE and set it to 0.01. This made the lines show up correctly in paper space, but now they are all messed up in model space. Is there an option to make it so they show up exactly the same in both model and paper space?

Â I've fished around for some option to add this tool or expand the upper row of existing tools, but can't seem to find it. Â Does this feature exist in LT for Mac? Â Right now, I have to select all layers in the panel and then click the display button of one to change all selected, but I notice in tutorials for Windows based versions there is an icon for this function.
