Photoshop :: Create New Text Layer On Animated GIF And Move It To Last Frame
May 13, 2012I'm a photoshop newbie and i'm dealing with animated gifs. Lets say I create a new text layer on this animated gif and I want to move it to the last frame. Is there an easier way than what i'm doing now: clicking and holding the layer with my mouse and dragged it to the last frame. I'm asking because sometimes these animated gifs have like 500+ frames and want to know if there is a faster, easier way

Id Like Each Layer of the animation to be one of the Layer Comps... so it shows the progression of the frames built from 1st to last.

Feb 12, 2012currently I'm working on a picture that consists of many other pictures and their layers. Now, if I want to cut edges of pictures with the same angle, it would be great to see the angle in the lasso mode. Sometimes this can also be handy when selecting rects.
edit: How can I move more than 1 layer at the same time?
edit: When saving/reopeneing the project, the pictures in the layers loose their original pixels, so I cannot resize them to their original width/height wihtout losing quality. What can I do about that? I.e. I think a picture needs to be bigger I have to delete it and reimport it?

Nov 10, 2013It's a problem occurring frequently If the contents of a specific layer is comprised of thin, short or small objects, brush strokes etc. and I need to move them.
When I try to select them (in order to move them), many times the mouse goes a little to the side of the objects (because they're so thin/small) and clicks on the object(s) on the layer beneath. This also has the unwanted side-effect of automatically deselecting the current layer.
Isn't it possible, once a layer is selected, to click and drag anywhere on the canvas to move its contents without deselecting it, like in Photoshop?

Jul 28, 2012The layer properties window, it opens smack bang on the middle of the image I'm working on. So extremely annoying to always first having to move it off the image, before I can see the effect I'm using. Especially when working with multiple layers. Is there a way to have this window open on the SIDE of the image one is working on? Instead of on top of it, hiding it?

May 8, 2012When dealing with a single image in its layer I could use "pick tool" to select image and move it with accuracy using keyboard arrows.
I created a mask from a vector (PSP created by itself a group with two layers => raster + mask). After that I am unable to move the group layer using keyboard arrows. I don't know whether this behavior is common to all type of layer groups, but not be able to use the arrows is annoying! Am I missing something? Is it possible to move layer group using arrows (keyboard)?
Ps.: Another "problem" happens when I select two raster layers and try to resize them drag'n'droping. It is impossible and I need to create a group layer to move them together. Is it the PSP common behavior?

Jan 14, 2013I am using the trial version of CS5 (probably going to upgrade at the end of the trial), and I've only found one thing about it that I don't like more than CS3. This is VERY VERY annoying, and I'm not sure if it's a glitch, or just a preference that needs to be reset:
When using the move tool, I will move something and it will just snap back to where it originally was. When it snaps back, it might move a few pixels over in the direction I was dragging, but it is definitely not moving to where I want it to go. The only way to get things to move the way I want to is by Free Transform...but it's annoying, when you're trying to design a layout, to have to free transform every element you want to move, first.
I'm guessing that this is a glitch because sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't...it's pretty random. I've tried turning Snap on and off, and nothing changes.

Jul 20, 2008I basically want to remove all of the black background from the image so that the animated tesseract is all that remains. I know how to open the gif to expose the layers using ImaegeReady, then edit them in PhotoShop.
But when I made the black areas of each layer transparent (by selecting the RGB channel, inverting the selection, and hitting delete), saved a copy, and tried viewing it, it seems to just display all of the transparent layers constantly instead of cycling through them. Code:

Sep 23, 2006How to make animated user bars. This is useful if you have more than one userbar and want to display them in the same image. The end result will look like this.
There is no limit to the amount of images you can animate.
OK, firstly, we need a userbar. If you haven't got some you can make your own. I have made a tutorial with all the information you will ever need to know. You can view it here.
Once you have made some, open 1 up in The GIMP. Make sure you only open one, this is important.
Then go to, File ---> Open as Layer . . .
Select your other userbar and hit OK. What this does is open the userbar as a layer. Look, you can see the two userbars as seperate layers in my layer window.
Keep doing this to you have opened all the userbars you want to include in your animation. When you have done, go to File ---> Save as . . .
Save it as, "Userbars.gif". It is important to include the .gif, without this, the animation will not work. A window, will appear. Put in these settings.
Click "Export".
A new window will appear. Put in these settings.
Click OK.
You have now animated your userbars. Nothing to it really.

Jun 14, 2013Frame animation plays fine when played from timeline but all layers are exported stacked on top of each other for the duration of the whole animation. I'm able to see that because the layers have transparency.
About animation - 8 frames with in endless loop, imported into a timeline via 'Make Frames from Layers' command in a fly-out menu in the Timeliine window. Tweens for animation are off, 01.sec delay for all frames
I was able to export animated GIF before, wondering if this issue is tied to the latest update.
