Paint.NET :: How To Move / Make Fine Adjustment To Size Of Selected Area
Sep 23, 2011
Once a selection is made with the selection tool using a fixed ratio, how can I move it or make fine adjustments to the size of the selected area that maintain that ratio?
THERE I'D LIKE TO ASK ABOUT CUTTING ... SO I'VE DONE THE SCISSORS THING ,CLOSED THE SELECTION AND IT APPEAR IN A FRAME , HOW DO I MOVE SELECTED AREA ? ALSO HOW TO MAKE THE FRAME ITSELF DISAPPEAR ?
When I move my mouse over the drawing area, the brush simply freezes at the corner next to the rulers, the regular cursor continues to move and I can click on the buttons, tools and menu, but my mouse is not functioning in the workspace, I can use my wacom tablet fine, but I still need my mouse to be functional for lassoo tools etc.
It is a very recent install, I may have some how buggered the mouse input when configuring my wacom.
I find the crop tool in CS6 to be such a pain compared to the version in LR4. When using the mouse (in CS6) to reposition the crop area the box hops around and seems to "jump" into certain positions - this is especially pronounced if it gets close to an edge. Â I realize I can reposition with the arrow keys but I was wondering if there is a way to disable the "jumping" while using the mouse?
Is there any way to use the adjustment brush to "paint" an area in black? I see there is the ability to tint areas in other colors but not black. I'd like to be able to isolate my main subject and paint out the background.
im using Adobe PS 7.0. Im trying to So I have picture of A person standing in a city with clothes and everything. The thing im trying to do is changeing the color of his jacket (only) but every time I try it changes the color of the whole pictures or something else. Image>Adjustment>HueSaturation>Changeing from master to other color>then pressing ****+ and taking some samples> then when im draging the Hue or saturation its changes the whole picture. I also tried Replacing color but aswell denied.
In MS Paint when i select part of image with Polygon tool, this part is auto filled with background color. In GIMP i have to use first Selection tool (Free Select) and than switch to Bucket Fill for filling selected area with color. How to make auto filling selected area with color in GIMP as it in MS Paint ?
When I select an Area, and then apply Rotation Everything Rotates, instead of the Selected Area - Why?
(and I have a image example; but, I could not figure how to Insert here via Image shack -most of the codes I tried between the 'IMG' gave strange results)
I have PSPx4. If I select an area of the image and try to apply color balance (Adjust|Color balance), the effect gets applied to the entire image, not just the selected area. Is there a way to apply color balance to just a selected region?
When I first started using Lightroom, the adjustment brush worked fine. Now, I will select the adjustment brush, click on the photo I'm editing, and a red circle will appear depending on the circumference I chose. If I look at the thumbnail in the navigation sidebar to the left, the red circle appears as a black circle in that photo. In addition, none of the sliders will work with the exception of the exposure adjuster. However, the effects of adjusting the exposure only appear in the thumbnail in the navigation sidebar; the main image will stay red in the area selected.
From X3 to X4, Corel added a "Block Size" control to the Local Tone Mapping adjustment. Is it the number of pixels over which the contrast adjustment is being applied? It seems that the smaller block sizes reduce the effect's harshness (when it could be harsh, e.g., with faces).
How can you do the area takeoff of only the selected faces (red area)?  Right now I have to use the 3rd party software to do something like this. I'm curious if there's a way to do inside Revit?
I have an oval portrait. How do I make the area outside the oval transparent so only the oval picture shows up and it's not "framed" by the white area outside the oval?
I've encountered a strange issue in PSDs I've inherited from another designer. Â When I have a text layer selected with the type tool active, the font size reads correctly (say, 40px). When I actually select the text with the type tool, the font size gives a strange number (say, 38.74px). Â See the screenshots below: Â This is on OSX 10.8.3, Photoshop CS6.
I've only used it for a few months and yes i LOVE it i even use it for assessments. but is there a way to set the a4 canvas size to my default because it really bugs me that i need to change it when i realize my images are too big.
I am trying to make a picture fit a headline size of 960 x 150. I have resized the picture to 160 x 152 so the height is good. The object of the picture is on the right and that is where I would like to keep it. What I would like to do is extend the width, to the left, to 960 and fill in that new space with the background color in the picture. Then add the title of my website on the left. I looked at the tutorials but cannot seem to make the tools do the changes I want. how to make my headline.
I want to finetune tolerances so I can in example change from 68% (not enough coverage) to 69% (about perfect), but instead it jumps to 70% or 71% (waaaay too much selected). Â Is it possible to write a plugin to
* Mousewheel it (pointer over tolerance bar, scroll wheel, tolerance changes) or even * press context button (mouse button 2) and spawn a dedicated input box to "hand it in"?
I have an script running fine with my old PSP (X4, X5). But in X6 the result in not good.
I use the script to insert the date on upper right corner of my pitcures. This data is found in Exif of the picture.
I use an fucntion returning the date, but with X6 , the result it not correct.
The source code is --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
def FormatDate( InputExif, Format ): ''' Use the time.strftime method to format a date string in various ways. The input exif date is always formatted as yyyy:mm:dd hh:mm:ss, so the first step is to convert that to a time tuple. We do that by changing the one lone space to a colon, then using split to give us a tuple that coincidentally matches the one used by time. '''
Is it possible to make the program to stop rounding when I try to set the image size? I'm putting in a size that is like 4.569 and it rounds it to 4.57 and I don't want it to round it.
I'm running PSPX3. the effect of no compression (or compression factor = 1) on saving files. I've got a JPEG image file straight from my camera that's approximately 4.1MB in size. If I do nothing else but "Save As" with a compression factor of 1, the new file size is approximately 50% larger, or 6.2MB. What has changed to make the file size larger? Both images are still 72DPI, 3648X2736px. I can't image that I have done anything to "improve" image quality, so why did the file size increase?
I have PSP 15.2.0.12, win 7 64-bit machine with ample power and graphics card. Regularly run multiple CAD programs and so on.
When I double-click the desktop icon to launch the product it crashes - always. When I double-click an image in Windows Explorer, it launches OK and opens the file with the Edit tab active.
