Photoshop :: Animated .gif In ImageReady
Dec 18, 2004I'm tryin to make adjustments to a sig and when I play the final animation, ImageReady didn't play each frame in a row, instead it played them ontop of each other. I couldn't figure it out so I just saved each frame individually (only 13 frames) thinking I could just put them into Windows Movie Maker real quick and be done with it. Nope. Windows movie maker won't allow a frame to be shorter than 1 second and I need each to be .1 second in length. So here I am back in ImageReady with all 13 frames and the animation box open, but I can't figure out how to put them in there.

Dec 6, 2003I'm using Imageready to create an animated gif. The specification for animated gifs allows the delay between frames to be as little as 1/100th however whenever I try and save a gif with this delay and look at it in a browser the delay is never less than 1/10th
Does anyone know of a way to get faster animated gifs, or wether this is a problem with my browser(mozilla 1.4 & ie 5)? I'm pretty sure it's not my PC slowing things down.

I created an animated gif by putting a bunch of files named so they retained that order (1-29) into a folder and then did Import Folders as Frames. I then add times in the animation window for each frame and then save it optimized. I've always done it this way because it works and is fairly simple but I can't edit the file later and that's what I need help with.
whenever I try to add an image or move layers all the frames end up being that layer in the animation window. All I want to do is add some new images to the end or maybe somewhere else in one of the animated gifs instead of going through the steps like before.

Feb 8, 2007I created an image in photoshop CS2. I imported it into Imageready and animated it. The image contains some transparent elements (black fading to transparent, a drop shadow.)
When I save it as a GIF file (using Imageready,) the animation works fine, but the transparency doesn't appear correctly. The parts of the GIF that are completely transparent are fine, but the shades of black fading to transparent appear as a shades of gray on a white background. I messed around with the optimization settings and it seems to have something to do with the 'matte' setting, but nothing seems to fix this.

here is the base image...
What i need done is that I need the punisher wallace part gone.
In its place, I need it to say this:
"If you can see us in your sector news, its too late."
I would prefer that the lettering be in red for that bit.
On the Half of the pic with the Skull, I need it to say Wolfpack on one side, and Fenris on the other side.
I would do it myself, but for the following 3 things.
1) I have no idea how.
2) I do not currently have the use of photoshop as I had to re-format my HD and cant find my disc.
3) I figured there would be many Intellegent, and Skilled people here on this web-board, who might be willing to help.
And before you start wondering what the hell this all means, it is for a game called Starkingdoms. I need to design a new sector banner, and I really like this one. Thanks.

Jul 20, 2008I basically want to remove all of the black background from the image so that the animated tesseract is all that remains. I know how to open the gif to expose the layers using ImaegeReady, then edit them in PhotoShop.
But when I made the black areas of each layer transparent (by selecting the RGB channel, inverting the selection, and hitting delete), saved a copy, and tried viewing it, it seems to just display all of the transparent layers constantly instead of cycling through them. Code:

Jun 14, 2013Frame animation plays fine when played from timeline but all layers are exported stacked on top of each other for the duration of the whole animation. I'm able to see that because the layers have transparency.
About animation - 8 frames with in endless loop, imported into a timeline via 'Make Frames from Layers' command in a fly-out menu in the Timeliine window. Tweens for animation are off, 01.sec delay for all frames
I was able to export animated GIF before, wondering if this issue is tied to the latest update.

Sep 23, 2006How to make animated user bars. This is useful if you have more than one userbar and want to display them in the same image. The end result will look like this.
There is no limit to the amount of images you can animate.
OK, firstly, we need a userbar. If you haven't got some you can make your own. I have made a tutorial with all the information you will ever need to know. You can view it here.
Once you have made some, open 1 up in The GIMP. Make sure you only open one, this is important.
Then go to, File ---> Open as Layer . . .
Select your other userbar and hit OK. What this does is open the userbar as a layer. Look, you can see the two userbars as seperate layers in my layer window.
Keep doing this to you have opened all the userbars you want to include in your animation. When you have done, go to File ---> Save as . . .
Save it as, "Userbars.gif". It is important to include the .gif, without this, the animation will not work. A window, will appear. Put in these settings.
Click "Export".
A new window will appear. Put in these settings.
Click OK.
You have now animated your userbars. Nothing to it really.

Apr 19, 2012I have an object with several animation layers. When I clone(copy) it, the new object also has the same animation layers. That should be OK.
The weird thing is, when I start to mess with the animation layers of the second object. If I disable, lets say, layer02 on the second object, it affects(disables) layer02 on the first one. Somehow the objects are connected through the animation layers.
Is this the normal behavior of the animation layers? And if it is, how can I make two separate copies of the animated objects?

Sep 6, 2011How can I make an actual audio shaped and animated surface? So that a second or two of an audio file is visible and moves across a plane as a wave or ripple? Something quite often seen in graphics but seemingly quite difficult to make in max.
I do not want a simple audio controlled wave / ripple modified surface as this only has evenly spaced wave lengths and is not a representation of actual waveform data.
So far I have made an audio shaped spline out of an audio controller trajectory and can lathe or extrude this into an audio shaped surface.
But how can I make an animated to real sound surface?
