Jul 2, 2011I drew a tree and bushes and added color but I need to add effects to it so they look realistic not just like a simple drawing.

Jul 13, 2012I have polygon object that I created. I initially started with a cube and then extruded faces until I got the final shape I wanted, which is a tree.
I've been trying to paint some paint effects on the tree but when I make is paintable and try to paint on it I get problems. I paint on the surface and everything looks fine. As soon as release the mouse button my curve and paint effect jump to the base of the tree. No matter where I paint on the tree.

Jan 11, 2013I am really liking GIMP and continuing to learning more of it so comes more questions. I followed a tutorial on how to import Photoshop bushes into GIMP.
Brush is Repeating
1) I read GIMP can use .abr brush file so I imported a Photoshop brush into GIMP. I then painted with it but it is painting with a repeating pattern. I did a comparison to show what the brush should be painting like. The same brush looks great in photoshop but is tiling or creating a pattern in GIMP. Is there a setting I need to select to get the brush to paint so it looks like the Photoshop example?
Organizing GIMP Brushes
2) It doesn’t seem like GIMP recognizes named brush folders. I had a folder named “Watercolor Brushes” and in it some .abr brushes. When I copied the folder to GIMP’s “Brushes” folder and then opened GIMP I found the brushes were randomly placed amongst my other GIMP brushes. This makes it very hard to keep organized. Is there a way to load the brushes so they are properly organized?

Oct 22, 2011I've noticed a quirk in X3 Organizer space. With file tree open on the LEFT, and sub-folders open (or expanded), clicking an image thumbnail and dropping on a subfolder (to move it there) causes the sub-folder tree to close up. In order to browse the subfolders again, the user must click the + symbol to expand the subfolder tree. This happens every time. The subfolder tree structure should NOT roll-up after dropping an image on a subfolder.

Apr 16, 2013I've downloaded new jpg picture files twice over the last 2 months. When I open PSPro X5 in MANAGE mode the new file folders names show on the folder tree but no picture files show in the Organizer photo tray when the folder is selected. Folders on tree before the 2 latest display pictures okay. I have no ability to select photos to edit from the MANAGE mode in those latest folders. Folders and photos appear normally in EXPLORER.

Apr 30, 2013I'm trying to make a mobile app overview and I want to add a little "tapping" animation a whole bunch of times for parts where a button is tapped and so forth. I made an animation of a circle scaling quickly to show the tapping.
The only way I can think of doing this is painstakingly mapping out its position keyframes for the different times in the timeline along with setting hundreds of keyframes for the scale. Is there a way I can just animate it once and then just insert it on various parts of the timeline?

As you can see in the picture i have a light blue background that has a circular shaped mask, and everything happens inside this mask in multiple layers on the back.
my problem is i want this mask to be animated, and to have a watercolor felling. so i thought of using video footage of ink, you know the typical video of ink falling into water and sort of expanding.
i have no problem making the video appear inside the ink stain, but my question is: is there a way to make a video follow the shape of an object? so i can make this ink footage adapt to different mask forms, for example a circle or a triangle, or even more complicated forms like, i dont know a human silhouette?
i am thinking something that stretches the video along a path with the shape of the object may be the solution.
