Jul 23, 2012I imported some pictures to who knows where?
So where is "show all in catalogue" so i can survey quickly?
Otherwise I'm going to have to go thru every single folder?

Lightroom :: Retrieving Imported Pictures When Location Of Pictures Is Lost?
Sep 9, 2012I imported pictures to Adobe Lightroom and exported them to my memory card. Now my memory card is broke! Is there any way to retrieve those pictures from Lightroom. Right now they are saying missing.

Jan 28, 2012Just installed the LR3 software and updated to the last version. I inserted the SD-card with 12 pictures (jpg and raw) into the card reader but on the LR3 screen I only saw 12 grey rectangles. However, I imported the 12 pictures into a folder on the PC. The rectangles remained gray. With other programes I can see and open the pictures. My camera is a LX5.

Oct 10, 2012I just got Lightroom. I imported 800 some new pictures on and started to develop them. Then, I went into Picasa to check some older pictures and it captured all the new pictures and since then, I cannot develop my pictures in Lightroom. I can still see them in the Library, but a message appears above them saying they are missing.I can't. They are on my hard drive and in Picasa.

May 28, 2012I just installed the trial of LR3 and I'm already having problems. When I try to "import" photos, my pictures don't show up. All that shows up in the preview thumbnails are grey boxes where my pictures should be. LR acts like it is loading my pictures, but when the pictures should be fully loaded, there are only grey boxes. If I hit "uncheck all" they will begin to re-load, but still the pictures will not show up. If I go to "Develop", the levels and such of the photo will show up and I can alter them, but it doesn't do anything because the photo I am editing is just a grey space! I tried altering the preferences for the file types to see if that may be it, but the pictures still did not show. I also tried using different folders of photos, but they all did this weird grey space thing.

This is the second time this happens, the first time I just gave up and imported as .JPG. I've tried importing them from the camera, and from a flashdrive. Neither worked. The first import consisted of pictures from Trip 1 folder on my hard drive, the second import was from Trip 2 folder on hard drive. I see the Trip 1 and Trip 2 folders in LIghtroom 5, but am experiencing problems with emailing and exporting pictures, getting messages such as "Missing file" or "Export does not show up. Were there problems with the import?

Dec 26, 2012i am using elements organizer 10 to organize my pictures, about 100.000.
All these pictures are in the location D:/pictures/privat pictures/2001/YYYYMMDD. Each year has a lot of folders oriented by date.
All this pictures are a second time at my backup drive Z:/backup pictures/private pictures/2001/................
After creating a new catalog and start importing all files from D: it takes time till all pictures are imported.
But then the failure happens if i click to any folder in D: i can not see any picture.
If i start import i.e. for one single folder again i get the message" pictures are already imported..."
If i click at a bar in the timeline the pictures are shown and the path tree shows it at location Z....with the path name from D:
I created more catalogs the last time to find a solution.
I use Windows 7 ultimate

Now I am missing plug ins, user presets in develop module, paper pre-sets in printer module. Why isn't everything imported? Why aren't all default settings imported? Why do I need to set up the layout etc. again. Horrible upgrade! I was on line with Adobe tech support. They say they know the problem, try back in a few days! Nov 19, 2012I have LR loaded on my MacBook Pro and everything was alright in terms of LR operation. I use a 5D MKII camera and always shoot in RAW (CR2). I always download images from the Card to the HDD and then import it to LR. However, CR2 Raw files are not getting imported and I am getting the following error message - "The files appear to be unsupported or damaged".
I can still import other files like .tiff and .jpg files.

Feb 3, 2013I am using Lr 4.3 and want to import vacation photos. Lr says they have already been imported but I can't find them even if I search by photo name using Explorer. Should I just uncheck the box not to import suggested duplicates and import again? I have over 4,000 and don't want them on the hard drive twice.

Lightroom :: GIF File Doesn't Want To Be Imported
Sep 2, 2010I have added an image file to a folder that had been previously imported into Lightroom.
When I tried synchronizing the folder after adding the file, LR does not even see this new file.
The file was created in Photoshop Elements using the Save for Web command (GIF format).
