I have been experiencing some issues with LR since the update to 5.3. When I edit the pictures, I chose to export it, the color look very different in the PC than in LR, I am attaching a screen of the differences, as well as my settings. I found that most issues were caused by color space not being set to sRGB, but in my case it is. Is there some other issue that I seem to have?

There are times when I prefer to use Smoother even when downsizing, as the Sharper algorithm results in over-sharpening (to my taste), but there does not seem to be a way to choose a specific one. Are there any workarounds for the lack of choices in the Export module?

I cannot export these pictures to the vector format due to this shade mode as I use to export the AutoCAD dwg to metafile.
The jpeg, png and other SaveAs give me the IDW background color which actually differs from white.

2. How to make a section of a pic transparent. I've spent a couple of hours on this now, and I've searched the documentation section, and I've searched the forums. Most specifically, how do I set a transparent color for a gif? But how do I make an AREA of ANY file transparent? One thing I tried to do was use the "Wet Floor Reflection" plugin, and it requires a transparent area below the existing image. I couldn't do that, either.
Win 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
Makes LR totally useless.
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.

There backgrounds have such good color but the subjects skin tones are still pretty accurate. I have done a ton of research before asking this question. I have messed with vibrance, saturation, Hsl, tone curve and the brush tools. My images get close but not all the way there.

Everytime I want to export pictures it exports every second picture as 0kb.
I've tried to export 100 picture at a time, the same problem occurrs. I've tried only exporting 3 pictures nad most likely atleast 2 of them are 0kb. I've tried all different settings to export the picture. Nothing out of the normal. URL....
The only work around I've found is that I open the image with Edit > In photoshop and then resize and save the image from Photoshop. But that's not the optimal workflow when you have more than 3 pictures. Would be nice to know why this problem comes up and how to fix it. This is really taking me back with publishing my work.
I found several posts about the same issue, but they were all talking about Dropbox being the problem. Well, I'm not exporting my pictures to Dropbox. A normal folder on my SSD HDD.
I have just installed Lightroom 3 - on PC laptop - and imported some images from the Picture Folder on the OS drive.Everything seems to be fine except (and its a major except) there are absolutely no thumbnails or previews of these pictures appearing in Lightroom to work on. View 1 Replies View Relatedfirst let me tell you that I'm familiar with LR concepts. I read a lot about RAW processing, color profiles and stuff. It all makes sense to me.
That having said... I'm unfortunatly quite unhappy with LR's color reproduction. It seems technically very accurate; unfortunatly -- Canon's own "Standard Picture Style" (so OOC JPEGs) are in most cases much nicer to look at, color-wise. I know it's not me alone having this feeling (just do a quick search).
Adobe provides look-alike profiles (.DCP-files) which are supposed to imitate Canon's Picture Styles. Unfortunatly none of these Adobe-profiles comes close (enough, IMHO) - most annoying thing for me is a strange blue/green cast in darker areas, e.g. shadows in daylight conditions are too bright and too blueish.
Remember, I'm using a EOS 50D (which probably won't get profile updates any more by Adobe, I suppose...)
So here's my question: Can I assume that Adobe already did the best they can to match Canon's Picture Style? ==> stop dreaming about a "better" "canon-50d-standard.dcp"-file. Take it or leave it, stop crying.
Or is there a possibility to tweak existing profiles? ==> find out how. Adobe's DCP editor, dcptool, whatever?
I work with a PC (Windows 7) an LR 4.1.
When I'm in develope module and have an image at 100% and I'm using the brush tool how can I move the picture to use the same brush in close or other areas?
I watched in the forum and found an answer that says to hold down alt key so the brush become temporarly an hand to move the image, but this doesn't work.
I have a picture - it's of a house from 1937, from the archives. Unfortunately, it has writing on it (in large white handwritten letters). I'd like to remove the letters; I only have LR3, not photoshop - is there a way to do this?

It worked fine on 30 pictures and then won't work on 1 picture. It shows the change in the box on the left but then won't actually change the picture. I can't figure out why it is not working.

When I open them in programs like "Windows Picture Viewer" they look just like they do in LR but when I upload it to my website or view it in a program like IrfanView the images look terribly over-saturated. I should also mention that it seems like I need to add quite a bit more saturation than normal to get them looking right in LR. I'm guessing that there is some setting that I have wrong.

During tethering ithe LR picks up my camera but when the shutter is released no picture is displayed on my computer.
Since 3years my partner is using Lightroom.
Last year he had done a format C, but because he had recently changed the names of his multiple hard disks, he formatted the wrong one.
He had erased all of our pictures by mistake...
We were able to recover some of them but their are some problems, we can see the pictures in lightroom but then we see some warnings and cant change/access the pictures.
Some pictures have a question mark next to them (warning is: picture missing) and some have an exclamation point behind it (warning is: some problems have occur in lightroom while reading this picture).
I am not at all a lightroom user and even less a computer expert, but since all of my daughters pictures (since she is born) were lost, i hope to be able te retrieve some of them...
how do I remove a spot in a photo ? I clicked on the " Develop" tab I clicked on the word " heal " , I get a round circle , I place it over the spot of the picture , than I click the mouse but the spot stays on the picture it does not go away.
