View 2 RepliesWhenever I tell LR to edit a photo in PS (CS6), I get back a TIFF file that is 10X larger than the orginal RAW file, and I ultimetly delete it to save space (after first converting it to a jpeg). Why doesn't PS do LR style non-destructrive editing, i.e., why not simply return a record of the edits made in a format compatible with LR?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to put a picture (subject on a plain background) on a grid, with the picture being pixelated enough to match the scale of the grid, but I'm getting stuck trying to keep the detail of the picture as the grid step gets larger. (see below) Sounds impossible, but i know i'm getting caught up in the maths somewhere. Is there a way to manipulate the picture to get the detail in the bottom pic to transfer to the larger grid step of the top pi without changing the size of the grid?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 825 pixels x 1125 pixels photo, 300 pixels/inch,
making it a size of: 2.75 inches x 3.75 inches.
However when I prepared to print this:
i.e. copying the image and pasting it onto an open office file or microsoft word file
(as I need to safe a file with photos for the printing shop),
the size of the image shows as almost covering an entire A4 sheet.
Why is that and not the set size?
I upgraded from PSE 10 to PSE 12 this week and am confused about a change in behavior.
I create a large blank document (3600x3600 pixels, scrapbook size) and then drag other items onto it to create new layers.
In PSE10, the items I dragged in kept their original size. In PSE 12, they get resized to match the size of the document I'm dragging them on to.Is there a setting I need to change? Can't find it.
I want to print up to 11 X 17. The LR print module only has scaling up to 8.5 X 11. How do I get the layout to match the paper?

View 10 Replies View RelatedJust recently, any prints I try to make on paper larger than 8.5 x 11 is offset, small or both using my epson 3880. Up until about 2 months ago it was fine. Also, the colors appear somewhat muted on the larger prints. Plus, I am still having a problem with prints being too dark but that is minor to the skewed printing. I still have LR 2 & 3 installed and tried using these programs with the same results.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tested this in both LR4 and 4.1RC2. 3.x versions and below I never seemed to have a problem. Using Windows 7 x64 SP1.If I have an export preset that adds a text watermark, it works fine in any image that is either already smaller than, or gets resized to 3118 pixels in height. If I tell it to resize to 3119 pixels, then the watermark is never added.
I usually crop all my images to 8x10 ratio. And then dont resize them at all, so they stay at their maximum resolution. The watermark is simply a TTF Font, set to show up proportionally in the lower right corner.
Here is the 3118 pixels tall image. And here is when it is resized to 3119 pixels tall:
what happened to the option "Picture Size" under the "View" menu in Photoshop CS6? It was great for viewing as picture size before sharpenning. I know the option 100% is there, but it is often larger than the actual photo size.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have 2 jpg picture files and I want to make one new one picture or copy the picture from one file and place it next to the other picture in the other file.
for example i have a picture of a red car and a picture of a blue car. I'd like to end up with one picture contaning a red car and a blue car
If I create a third picture and copy and paste an existing picture into it, the quality of the new picture is reduced.
