Jan 18, 2014I have a set of JPEGs that have been stripped of their color profiles (AdobeRGB). Lightroom assumes that they are sRGB images and displays them incorrectly. Is there any function in the program that will let me embed the correct (AdobeRGB) profile to the photos, preferably without re-compressing them?

Lightroom :: Thumbnail Badge For Collections Not Being Displayed
Jul 4, 2012I am using Lightroom 4.1 on a vista computer. I am in the process of building a number of sub-collections within a main collection. About 400 pictures selected so far. I have set the view>options to view thumbnail badges in grid view. However, only one photo, which I have not done anything to, shows the badge for collections. I would expect that every photo I assigned to a collection would show the collections badge. When I deselect the thumbnail badge box, the badge disappears from the one photo that has it. When I turn it back on, only the one photo shows the badge.
How can I have all the photos assigned to a collection show the badge?
Lightroom :: Incorrect Thumbnails Displayed For Images?
Apr 1, 2014Time and time again, I have come across the issue where the thumbnail being displayed in the grid view and loupe view is not of the image itself, but of some other image. So far, the thumbnail is typically from the same folder or collection and can be either from an image that still exists or from one that I've rejected and deleted from disk previously.
If I go into develop mode, the correct image gets displayed, but the thumbnail rarely resets itself.
I've deleted the cache on previous occasions to have LR recreate the thumbnails, but I never know when I'm going to encounter this issue.
This becomes a paint when I am delete unwanted images. If the thumbnail is incorrect on my second or third pruning, I could actually lose an image I intended to keep.
I'm running Lightroom 5.3 from CC.
It seems that deleting the cache every day--maybe even several times a day--is a bit overkill, but seems to be the only way to deal with this problem.
Lightroom :: Print Resolution Is No Longer Displayed
Sep 1, 2013The print resolution is no longer displayed making it difficult to decide if I need to modify the resolution prior to printing. Second, Lightroom 5 no longer generates a print preview. I select this option in my printer interface but sends the image directly to the printer without generating the preview. I did not have these issues with Lightroom 4 or earlier versions.

catalogue seems ok (structure and all, metadata are ok, in the development module memory has been kept of photos adjustment...
Re-opening catalog or optimizing does not have any effect....
Quiting LR is just abrupt with no asking for back-up...
Lightroom :: 4.1 - Volumes / Hard Drives Not Displayed In Folders Panel
Jun 7, 2012I recentely upgraded to LR4.1 and it seems to have done something strange with my Folders. As you can see in the earlier version all of my harddrives are displayed as panel items in the folders panel. However now it's only displaying the boot drive and i have to drill down to the volumes folder to get to my hard drives..This is pretty annoying since i work on multiple hard drives.
I have read in earlier versions that people found a workaround by using the "Promote Subfolders" option until all drives were displayed. However this option doesn't seem to be in LR 4. None of my hard drives are compressed, and they are all internal.
It may be worth noting that when I went to create a new catalog it didnt show any hard drives begin with.

Mar 23, 2013Lightroom 4.3 version. All updates applied. Windows 7 64 bit. Single hardrive used. No problems on disk. Memory 8 gig. Speed 3 MHZ. OK
Here is how I use filters. Select folders/SE:ECT drive letter where it shows number of images/turn on filters/select metadata/ use flat or hierarcy does not matter, select a date. No problem, all the images from the entire drive relating to a day display.
PROBLEM - multiple images are displayed in grid or filmstrip. Search of the hard drive reveals those multiple images do not exist. Now what is the solution ? Metadata status ALWAYS displays image changed always. Status responds correctly when images are displayed - no problem there.
When Catalog is selected as above, same results are obtained. Does not matter - raw data or processed images into JPEG.
I can't express this problem any better - all the details are there. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? I need the metadata filter to use dates.
Lightroom :: Folders With Subfolders And More Than 3000 Pictures Cannot Be Displayed In Library Mode
Mar 12, 2012I use a file structure in lightroom with subfolders within folders to organize photos; some of these top level folders contain many thousands of pictures; I have found that any top level folder with greater than 3000 photos will no open, and therefore all photos within that top level folder are not searchable. When I try opening such a large folder, the phrase "no photos in selected folder" is displayed. This has never been happened in LR3, but is happening in LR4. Folders less than abour 2500 photos can be opened and searched easily.

-Windows 8 64-bit
-8092 Mb 1600Mhz RAM
-Intel i7 2600k Quadcore processor with 8 logical processors running at 4Ghz
-Corsair SSD that stores Lightroom catalog.
When I am creating 1:1 previews from a Nikon D800 (Huge 74Mb RAW files) Lightroom only uses about 25% of my CPU power (sometimes it tops out at around 50% for a second) and about 3.3GBs of RAM which results in relatively slow performance. Why isnt Lightroom using more resources? It barely is using the workhorse components I put in this machine. Ive added a screenshot from the performance monitor during the generation of 500+ 1:1 previews.
Generating 500+ Full 14bit RAW files from the D800 could surely benefit from using the computers' full computing capabilities?

I had an old demo version of Photoshop CS6 on my computer and was told to delete it, which I did. Unfortunately, it also damaged Photoshop 6 CC and I had to unistall it also. Now CC is saying it is up to date and won't reinstall it. I really need to start working on something I promised I would have ready by Monday and can't do it because I don't have Photoshop again.
