I've just bought some facebook fanpage and timeline templates that I'm trying to use, and I need to know how to add photos from my computer into the template.
They gave me instructions on how to do it with Photoshop using "PLACE" under the "File" tab, but there is no "place" in gimp.
How do I get all my photos in lightroom to another computer when I haven't exported all of them?

During tethering ithe LR picks up my camera but when the shutter is released no picture is displayed on my computer.

I am brand new to GIMP. I just installed the latest version (2.6) and tried to open an image file from my computer. I clicked open, and went to a folder on my computer that has lots of jpegs in it. None are appearing for me to open in GIMP however. I tried a different folder with images in it and got the same result. I have it set for "All Images".
View 3 Replies View Relatedi just update my Gimp to the new 2.8.6 and for some reason it keeps crashing whenever i start opening up GImp(the loading screen)! I kept uninstalling it and installing it again,but,the same crash always appears! I then restart the computer and it happens again!

I am now unable to delete the edited photos, rename the edited photos, or move the edited photos to another folder. Basically, they are stuck in their spot. I'm not even able to pull up the "Properties" selection from right-clicking the edited photo.
I tried to open them using IrfanView, but when I go to delete the photo using that program, it makes it not respond.
I can open the photo up in Paint, save it as a different format, and delete it - but the original edited photo is still there.
How can I move and delete edited photos? I've never ran into this problem in all the years I've been using GIMP.
Still having this problem when accessing the user manual (local copy on computer), notepad opens up displaying html code of the user manual as listed above posting.
I went into SAFE mode to see what would happen and the same action resulted. I went into SAFE mode because all security programs would be off.
When I change the setting to use the user manual online this is the error message. ( My Outpost Security Suite 7.1 Free is ON.)

I went to see what the default browser but it only shows "Reg_SZ" in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOThttpshellopencommand. I want to verify what my default browser is. Isn't that what GIMP will use as the browser? Why does GIMP use the NotePad program to display the user manual when I have the preferences set to local access (on my computer)? The name of the NotePad file is "gimp-concepts-usage".
I cannot find a function in 2011 Civil 3d to export an alignment as an. RXL file onto the computer. I know that I can export an RXL directly into a Survey Controller via Trimble Link.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI received a dwg file from my architect through e-mail. When I open it in Autocad LT 2004, a window pops up stating, "Drawing file is not valid." I forwarded the e-mail on to my boss with the same file and it opens perfectly on his version of Autocad LT 2004.
The only difference between our computers is that he is running Windows 7 and I am running Windows XP. The architect is running Windows 7.
I am currently using AutoCAD LT 2009 on my home computer. My client also has the same AutoCAD at a different geographic location. When I generate a drawing file at home and send it to my client’s computer via email the drawing appearance changes. It appears as though the .dwg file is corrupt in some manner. My dimensions are not in order the font has changed in scale and in type. Most of the text is just inadvertently scattered about.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just started to have trouble with Lightroom 4 on my MacBook. The program freezes when I try to choose a file on my computer or try to select a folder location. When I try to choose where to export my pics, I have to reboot the program every time.
I have tried shutting down my computer and everything.
I just became a part of the Student Community here, and downloaded Inventor Pro. I actually had some problems right off the bat: some kb971153 file was missing, so I had to find a hotfix from MS and install it before it would let me install Inventor.
Anyway, I opened up Inventor, and found that within seconds of loading up a new .ipt file, my computer would freeze. I can confirm that ctrl+alt+del, mashing several other buttons in frustration, and thinking of creative ways to use four-letter words to describe the situation don't work. As far as I can tell, .dwg files work just fine, it's just the .ipt ones that are kick my blood pressure up a notch.
If I remember correctly, the hotfix had to do with individual licensing or something, so it shouldn't be the cause right? Everything else on the computer works just fine; if I downloaded the wrong fix or something, I figure I'd see some problems with the computer overall. So I'm lost. Maybe it has to do with the stuff the .ipt file is trying to load or access but, either way, it's causing me to have to turn my computer via power button, something I'd rather avoid.
I've just tried downloading LR4 on my girlfriends computer (my comps HD just failed) - but when I go to download it, I get a message saying "this type of file can harm your computer. Do you wish to continue?" Her comp is a macbook pro 15" and I was trying to DL the mac version.

How do I make a 4 x 6 picture? I went to resize and converted to inches. i then put in 4 x 6, but it kept popping back to 4 x 4.

The picture itself looks like a rectangular picture before I pulled it up in Gimp.
I am trying to insert a picture of an individual behind a fence standing in front of a house. Is it possible to do this with Gimp? I have uploaded the two pictures. I want to put the handyman behind the white picket fence, walking up the driveway. Is that possible? I just downloaded a sample of this from Bigstock.
