GIMP :: Apply One Picture Environment Lighting Properties To Another Picture
Feb 6, 2012
Is there a relatively simple, automated tool in gimp to apply one picture's environment lighting properties to another picture?
So for example if i cut out an object from one picture that has pretty warm lighting environment, and put it in a cold light background it will look pretty out of place obviously, and this is what I would like to resolve.
What I want to do, is take the path tool, make a pattern around a picture (which is rectangle) placing it on a picture of a board like this...and then pull the picture horizontally, and vertically, to make it circular, to fit the perimeter of the board. If I understand it correctly, when you use the path tool...it allows you to make an image round (from rectangular) is that true?
I can find tutorials and plugins and such to convert a picture into a cartoon picture... but is there a plug in or way to go from cartoon to RL (real life image photo)???
I'm making background image for myself, and i know how i want it to be, but i cannot do it with my skills.
I have this "base" image that is 1920x1080 and i have to place there several (10-12) photos. i want those photos to be different sizes and rotations and i also want them to have white border and some shadow.
I want those photos to be like in this image that i found from Google: What is the best and fastest way to do this in a gimp.
I came across a thread a month or more ago that described how to get the effect of the Beatles picture that shows half their face in the light and the other half darker. Probably not describing this well enough here.. But now that I want to try it I can't find the thread anymore. Thought it would be cool to do with my 4 kids.
What is the technique to use to give a picture the look of an embroidery ? Is there a filter in Photoshop, or should I look for a special plugin, and which would it be ? I'm using Photoshop 5.5 on a Mac.
I'm trying to insert a picture into a word document I'm generating from Inventor ETO 2012. By default, the picture seems to be set to word wrap as inline, which makes Word give it a low priority and hide it behind all text. All I want to do is change the wrap style to Square.
Using Microsoft's site, I found what i believe to be the proper style setting. [URL].....
Autodesk's guide for using WordPictureWriter: [URL]....
No matter what I change style to, absolutely nothing changes. It is always set as inline.
I was wondering if there's a way to apply local changes to a picture by including the part I need to be changed in a square (like when you crop it). Without using the graduated filter.
I'm using PSE10 on a Win7 (64bit) OS. When I delete a picture (from catalogue and harddrive) the PSE-Organizer tends to jump down several pictures (Haven't been able to determine a fixed number), so I have to go up again and browse through the same pics a couple of times.
I have a photo in large size and high resolution. However after I apply the Picture-In-Picture effect in Video Studio ProX5, it became very blurry. Already check all the Attribute settings and there is nothing wrong with the setting.
I used to use MediaStudio Pro to create picture in picture especially where the picture starts small and grows to cover the entire background video clip.
I looked for and found a video filter which I thought would allow me to do the same. However after viewing the 'help' for the filter and trying just about everything I could think of I cannot achieve what I want to do if start with a video clip and then have another video clip appear (very small) in one area of the background video and then slowly grow larger to eventually cover the background video clip.
I can make the picture in picture appear and grow larger but it covers the entire background video clip with black effectively covering it no matter what size my picture in picture is. I looked for a chroma key to cover the black out but could not find it.
I´m trying to plot a picture with a hatch marking a area on the picture. I´m making a overview of the picture with the hatched area on it at scale 1:10000. And then i make smaller plots in scale 1:5000.
My problem is that depending on the scale the color changes (it´s darker in 1:10000).
I am wanting to display previews (pngs) of the ai files in the plugin that match search criteria on a button. As the user scrolls through the results, change the button picture to be the png for that ai file. I tested it with a default image in case the image doesn't exist. The test image is cropped to the size of the button.
The pngs are necessarily 600x600 pix. (For other applications). I want to resize them for display on the button.
I often encounter the low motion frequency when playing back "Picture in Picture" scene (which I mean the pictures aren't moving smoothly whenever using that feature) after I render my video into various formats, such as WMV HD PAL. Is there any way to increase its smoothness?
I'm trying to layer them all on top of each other.
When I copy one partially transparent GIF and paste it on to the second partially transparent GIF the transparent section turns white and is no longer transparent.
Therefore covering up the contents of the prior GIF.
In short, please have a look at the three attached pictures, I would like to have all three on top of each other showing all buttons.
I'm just working on a flyer for a party and I like how the picture looks like after clicking on the picture with the magic wand. Now the question if I can save that picture with that looking someway?
I could use the print button, yes but then I lose the quality of the pic.
I have a hatch pattern in one of my objects. I want to apply exactly the same hatch pattern to other objects but I don't remember the settings for original hatch.
There is a command in ACAD to apply properties of one object to others (brush icon in toolbar). I tries to use this command but it seams that it doesn't work for hatch.
What is easiest way to apply a hatch pattern from an object to the other one?
I have several pictures. Each "pair of picture" shows the same person on the same background/perspective/settings (using a tripod) -- but with the person on a different position. Now I want to crop these pairs of pictures. Now I am recording my cropping of the first picture as an action and repeat the same step via this action on the second picture.
But it is possible eg to record my cropping via a shortcut and execute the cropping with another shortcut to the next picture (the "next actually opened" picture) just to do this faster?
I am trying to add a frame to some pictures, but when trying to apply a frame from the content section, the frame goes on top of any picture...and not directly on to the picture.
I am trying to use the FX picture-in-picture effect, but can't make it work. I see the inserted picture but not the background, the background is black!
I must say that the instructions are not very clear. It says: "Place the Picture-In-Picture effect on the clip that should be inserted in the background and place the background track behind it." ?
How do I place the background behind the clip afterwards? That's not possible.
