I work with a PC (Windows 7) an LR 4.1.
When I'm in develope module and have an image at 100% and I'm using the brush tool how can I move the picture to use the same brush in close or other areas?
I watched in the forum and found an answer that says to hold down alt key so the brush become temporarly an hand to move the image, but this doesn't work.
When I work with brush I very often have to move my image verically or horizontally. Therefore I have to find the state where i can use the hand to move my image. This I have done purely using the try & error method. How toswitch between brush and move. Zoom also is a bit problematic for me. I am too stuck to PSE.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor example you take 2 shots of a model, but with slightly different position, it sucks having to redraw a whole new brush on the next photo. Would be great to be able to sync then just drag the brush pin into place. Like how you can with the radial fand ND filter. And it would be awesome to be able to copy the settings of one, and the paste them onto another pin on another area or another photo.Right now its so time consuming having to sync brush adjustments, erase them, then repaint where I want the same settings applied to a different part of another picture.
Second, need to be able to select multiple or all pins, to be able to move them at the same time. Same for for the ND, radial, spot healing pins.
Third, we need to be able to copy brush settings via right clicking the pin, as well as maybe in the brush panel at the top so its something like like:
Mask: New | Edit | Copy | Paste
I've moved all picture files to a new hard drive. How do I tell Lightroom where to locate them?

I can see all the thumbnails and keywords etc in library but when I try to move a picture into develop (or external editor) I get the message "The folder could not be found". The My pictures files on the left hand side are present but not in bold white. How to connect to these later files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I attempt to use a new grad filter or adjustment brush in LR3.6 the picture goes blank i.e. totally black. The history does not update and I can do no other edits until I Ctrl-Z or go to the grid pane or move to the next image. I am running on Windows 7 64 bit and I have re-installed, twice, (repaired) using the latest downloaded LR3.6 off the adobe site. I have done several integity checks which are successful and the problem occurs no matter what catalog I open, small or big. However, my LR 4 beta works perfectly!? This problem came out of the blue and the only software that I have installed on my machine recently was some Windows updates and Firetower which checks changes to my Startup processes.

I can delete and start again, but if there is way to move or hide the anchor point while still being able to adjust the setting, it would be handy to know for next time it happens.

I need to cut the purse, strap included, from the rest of the picture. Then I have to save it on its own. I am not moving the cut out purse to a new picture to place it on.
How do I do this? Is there something that has to be done to the picture first, (bachground, layer, etc.) before even selecting the right PCS6 tool? What is the best tool to use?

When I move my mouse over my image the brush cursor is not moving and it will not let me click on my image (with the mouse) the crosshair/cursor will follow it, however the brush will not, nor will any other tools, my wacom tablet however works fine.
I thought it must be something to do with GIMP accepting input but its not going as of yet.
the only options i have when i right-click it are: vector smart object and beckground.

When I sometimes brush with a larger brush or even a small brush it freezes. Could it be a virus that is causing these problems? I installed the same photoshop into my old computer and it works fine. Is there a hotkey to close this window? I have been clicking to top of photoshops toolbar to close the brush window, but I would thing there is a hotkey to dismiss it on the keyboard.

I'm using Paint.net since few years, and now I'm trying to coloring a brush with a precise color. I would like the brush to be in a blue color 3914AF (for example). I tried to use different fusion mode like "screen" on a third layer that I colored with this color...but it also let the color out of the brush itself. I thought of using the magic wandle before but to have a correct result...

When I move my mouse over the drawing area, the brush simply freezes at the corner next to the rulers, the regular cursor continues to move and I can click on the buttons, tools and menu, but my mouse is not functioning in the workspace, I can use my wacom tablet fine, but I still need my mouse to be functional for lassoo tools etc.
It is a very recent install, I may have some how buggered the mouse input when configuring my wacom.
I'm running Arch Linux, with KDE.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working on a project for my online class and am having difficulties with the History Brush. Note that both files are identical in size etc.
1. I created a color text file and saved it with a specific name.
2. I copied an existing photo from iPhoto, as I couldn't import into PhotoShop, and pasted it in a new file. I then removed the white background layer and then saved it with its now specific name and closed the file.
3. I re-opened the Color Text File.
4. I then re-opended my photo.
5. I performed a "Select All" from the menu bar of my active Photo then selected Edit - Copy and then closed my Photo file.
6. From my Color Text File I selected Edit and then Paste from the menu bar.
7. I selected Layer and Flatten Image from the menu bar.
8. I right clicked the background image from the Layers Panel and created a snapshot (which is my photo)
9. I selected the History brush and verified that this also displayed in the gray box associated with the Color Text file within the History Panel.
10. I verified that my photo image was displayed in my work area.
11. I start to fill the photo with my History Brush and the only color I get is White.
In ps7 editor I can have 2 pictures cascaded and using the marquee tool and the move tool insert a section of one picture into the other. I cannot do this in ps11, what am I doing wrong?
