Photoshop Elements :: Cannot Move Picture To Existing Album / Cannot Drop Album Tag On Picture To Add?
Feb 18, 2014
I successfully exported the catalog from my old Vista Computer running elements 6. I imported the catalog to a Sony Vaio running Windows 8.1 . All pics and albums are in the organizer. However I cannot add additional pictures from a file folder in the organizer to an album that is also in the organizer that was previously created in elements 6
How do I add a single picture from a stack to an album? If I try to select a single picture the entire stack gets added to the album? Is there a way to add just the picture I want?
I use Photoshop Elements 9 with Windows 7 and backed up both my pictures and saved my albums as a XML file. Then my computer got a virus and the hard drive had to be wiped clean. I restored my files and pictures from an external hard drive. I reinstalled Photoshop Elements 9 and then uploaded the albums from the XML file I saved. All the album names are restored, but the pictures are not connected to the albums! How can I restore the albums with the pictures without starting over and dragging each picture into the album? I thought the XML file saved the picture/album links?
How long should it take for an album of photos to be uploaded? Is there any faster way to distribute an album or large batch of photos besides uploading an album?
I have many photo albums on Facebook. Using Organizer 10/Share I was able to upload several "batches" of pics to an existing album even though the dropdown list of existing albums only showed 2, one of them was the one I wanted so all was good. Then on about the fifth load the target FB album disappeared from the list leaving only the FB Wall album. Seems like a bug to me.
When I attempt to drag and drop a photo from the Elements 12 Organizer to an Album, it fails and the message, "Error Appllying Keyword Tag(s)" appears. How can I correct this?
I have album category B inside album category A. I want to move B to the top level. How do I do that? I can easily drag B and drop it on another category but I cannot find where to drop it to make it a top level category.
I was adding photos from a friend's file to my Adobe Photoshop album and somehow corrupted my existing photo files. I am unable to restore my original files.
How do I move parts of a picture? I have a picture with sketch of a dog at the bottom of the picture, with script above it. All I wish to do is move the script down and move the dog to the top. I have spent hours trying to do this to no avail.
When I open a picture on my computer with PSE9 it appears in the Editor. After I make changes in the picture I would like to be able to add it to the Organizer without having to open the Organier,Find the file on my computer and then see it in the Organizer.
Right clicked on an album for "Export to DVD" and a little preview window opened & downloaded 360 images for 10-12 minutes, it closed, then I put a DVD in the tray & the program automatically started to burn to it for about 10 seconds. I checked the DVD and it only had nine images.
Tried the whole process again and got 7 images on this DVD. Why won't all 360 images in the album burn to the DVD [when they apparently all download to the "Preview" window?
I'm using photoshop elements and I've copied some photos in to an album from a folder. How do I delete a photo from the album without deleting it from the catalog?
i'm a hobby sports photographer. I shot lots of fast series. After an import into organizer pics with same time stamp are arranged in random order so the series get mangled. It is no fun to bring back the correct sequence by hand for hundereds of pictures. Slideshows, Video etc. are senseless.
A simple "sort by name" would solve this. So, how to sort by name?
I'm using PSE10 on a Win7 (64bit) OS. When I delete a picture (from catalogue and harddrive) the PSE-Organizer tends to jump down several pictures (Haven't been able to determine a fixed number), so I have to go up again and browse through the same pics a couple of times.
I have purchased a new computer (windows 8) and installed photoshop elements 11. My problem: I used to work with photoshop album 4.0 (on my old pc) and have thousands of pictures mapped to varios tags (person, locations, events, etc.). How can I now import this information from photoshop album into the organizer of photoshop elements 11?
When I drag the album to a photo I get the error "Error Applying Keyword Tag(s)" Nothing about this in the pdf file supplied! Apparently in the UK we don't get free telephone tech support!
I have Elements 11 and am using iTunes 10.7 I have just created an album in Elements 11, but when I want it to sync with my Ipad using iTunes, the new album does not appear in the list. Albums created earlier, using Elements 8, show up ok.
