trying to print a square image in lightroom (12x12)..followed tutorials online for this through adobe. However, when putting in the cell sizes in the layout area of the print module, what actually appears in the cell is not as specified.

While the print looks great it is not 8x10 (larger). Is there some interaction between the margin settings and the cell size that I need to understand?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the LR5.3 file: Lightroom_5_LS11_mac_5.3.dmg and then clicked on the file to open it. After installing, the Lightroom 5.3 icon appears on the top right of my Mac desktop, however, when i open Lightroom from Finder>Applications it still shows LR5.2C. So I clicked on the LR5.3 icon on the top right of my screen and it gives me the original box that I already clicked to install LR5.3.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm installing Lightroom 5 in a classroom of Macs with OS X 10.9. When another user logs on a to computer and starts Lightroom, Lightroom welcome screen pops up again and asks for country, and in next screen displays the serial number Lightroom was activated with. After pressing OK the user can proceed to use Lightroom. How to avoid the welcome screen from appearing to all users? Obviously we can't have the serial number leaking out to public like this. Luckily this came up while testing the installation.
The registration file seems to be in a correct location (/Library/Application support/Adobe/Lightroom/Lightroom 5.0 Registration)
LR version - 4.2
OS - OS X 10.8.2
I've just moved to a new computer and also I've just started using LR4. Since moving I've had a few of my imported images display the 'The image appears to be damaged' message when in develop mode.
The image appears undamaged and I can edit and export without issue, if I copy the image on disk the copy will also cause the message to appear however when I copy the image to another computer (running Windows 7 and LR 3.3) and that doesn't report the image as damaged.
I'm not too sure what causes LR to report the image as damaged also I don't know why the image would appear damaged on one computer and not on another.
I just bought Lightroom 4 (student version) and fully registered it. After importing photos to the library, nothing appears in the filmstrip on the bottom of the screen. Do I need to turn something on to make them appear? It is making navigation much more difficult while developing (I can only view one image at a time while developing).

When I am in the develop mode of Lightroom, I want to be able to click "Edit In Photoshop Elements 11" to edit my photo and return it to my catalog, just as I could do with Photoshop. When I click on "Edit in Photoshop Elements 11", Elements is activated but the photo never appears.

The FILE, EDIT, ... drop down menus only appear after carefully hovering near the top of the screen and the minimize, full screen, and close buttons never appear. I don't want to close LR to check email, browse, or kill time while it is rendering previews.

I'm running on Windows home premium 64bit,
i have installed the Sony 64 bit printer driver.
When i print the photo, it prints to the size 4.31 x 3.12 on the 5x7 paper.
Just installed the LR3 software and updated to the last version. I inserted the SD-card with 12 pictures (jpg and raw) into the card reader but on the LR3 screen I only saw 12 grey rectangles. However, I imported the 12 pictures into a folder on the PC. The rectangles remained gray. With other programes I can see and open the pictures. My camera is a LX5.

But when I double click on the *.lrcat file, or select one in windows the following happens: Lightroom tries to install itself! !!!!
When I click on cancel, an error 1706 appears, "no valid source could be be foundfor product LR 4.1 64bit, the windows installer cannot proceed." To go ahead of an obvious question: the file type lrcat seem to be associated with the 64 bit Lightroom:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have several raw images that were imported directly from the memory card into LR5 as DNG files. They look fine in the Library mode - both in Grid and Loupe view, but when they are opened into the Develop module they have gray and pink boxes as if information is missing and I get an error message saying "image appears to be damaged".
Is it really damaged or is there a way to resolve this? When I look at the file itself through Finder it shows the damage, so I'm thinking it's damaged but somehow the previews aren't?
Just want to understand before I import again or start editing only to lose more pictures. Is it a bug?
We recently installed extra RAM only to find out it wasn't compatible with the Mac. We have the correct RAM in there now, but I don't know if I should uninstall and reinstall LR5 or if it should now be fine with the new RAM or if it's totally unrelated to the RAM.
After I have chosen and used a color brush, I cannot get rid of the color and turn it off. The same color appears on all subsequent openings of the adjustment brush. How do I get rid of the color?

I have installed CS6 and LR4.1 on both my new Macbook Pro and Mac Pro.
When using the Macbook Pro the the pin marker appears as it should.
On the Mac Pro no pin marker appears but the rest of the action is performed.
I was working in LR 4 on Mac OS 10.8.4 when I suddenly saw the preview of an older jpg-file when moving the cursor over the image folders: The half of it was blurred. I moved into the folder to find the image and clicked another jpg file. Half of it turned blurred and somehow inverted as well, see here: [URL] .....
I starred at it and in the library view more and more image turned this way. There was an icon next to the images, when I clicked it there was something like (translated): "metadata for this photo was changed by LR or another application. Should LR import the settings from the disk or overwrite the disk’s settings with those of the catalogue?"
There was no new version of the file or something like this. All affected files are jpg files, some from an old smartphone and most from an EOS 5D MII.
The selected image appears on the main/center panel but not in the preview screen. Printing results in a white sheet of paper with no image at all. The image has been updated to LR 4 - but made no difference.
View 13 Replies View RelatedThe color space on the selected images appears to be changing when I use the Lightroom flash gallery in the web module of LR4.1. This stays the same when the gallery is uploaded. In previous version of LR I have seen color changes in the web module but they have been corrected (and correct) when the gallery is uploaded to the 'net.
I have read that this was (previously) a problem with the flash gallery specifically becuase it was not colour magaded, but I understood that this had been corrected for LR4. As far as my use is concerned it's actually more problematic now than it has been previously.
I've got a catalog that work fine in LR4.4, but when I try to upgrade them to LR5 I get the error, "Lightroom couldn't update the format of its catalog file because the file appears to be damaged." The catalogs aren't damaged as they work perfectly in LR4.4. I urgently need to update them to a new mac with LR5.

I need to get the values(textstrings) of some AutoCAD table cells into a string array, but I am having troubles. I have the proper table and I can get the contents of individual cells using acTable.Cells(1, 1).TextString, etc... but I cannot seem to remember how to get each cell value into an array.

I am creating a table where I want the cell contents to be aligned Middle Center. I can set that up in the table definition and it seems to be in place once the table is in the drawing. If I type text into the cell the alignment is as expected. Whenever I type a number the aligment changes to Top Right. I can go back into the cell and reset the alignment to Middle Center. If I then delete the cell contents, exit the cell then return to the cell and enter a number the alignment returns to Top Right. I want the table to start off empty so others can enter informaiton as it becomes available. Is there a way to have the cell alignment stay the way I wnat it regardless of what I enter into the cell? I tried changing the cell format to text but the instant I entered a number it switched back to a number format and aligned Top Right.

I would like some feedback/ comments on the one that I did write. I posted up the two other ones because most of the people I talk to have either seen them, or know of those tutorials and have been using them as a guide. My way is not exactly cell shading just because I have been doing it so long that I have continually gotten more and more advanced until they look like airbrushed pictures. And I got it outlined about 98% of it. But im unsure on how far i should outline the rims and the rear air damn. D-load the PSD file and take a look. Hide the car layer to view the outline. This is my first cell shaded car, so i dont know if i should use highlights/darkened area to bring out the shape in the tire rimes and the rear air damn.
