View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I export RAW files, specifying that I want the output to be in sRGB color space the resulting files have the Adobe RGB color space. The same is true if I specify I want them in ProPhoto. Is this a bug? I have done it successfully in other versions of Lightroom, but not in 4.3.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI used a web hex code to match up a color in a logo. (8700ff). However, now that i am in the process of designing its seems that my PS hex values are not the same as web hex values. Is there a setting that i need to get into to make these match?
Look at the words '' SILVER & HD CAMERAS '' as compared to the words '' The Buffalo Nickle ''. These both are set at a hex value of 8700ff. The color of "HD CAMERA" is correctly matching the site logo which was made in PS cs5. But the sites interpretation of that same Hex value is different.
What is the best method for finding the codes for specific colors? In my case I would like to know the code for 'john deere green'

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have managed to perform a stress analysis on a part (which only 1/4 of it is shown due to its symmetry). Upon running the simulation and displaying the results for Von Mises Stress, all the part has been fully colored in blue, and there are no signs of any red areas. However, the bar line on the left still indicates that there are areas which are highly stressed. I'm now confused weather if there any areas of the part are exhbiting this type of stress, and if yes, how can I locate the most highly stressed parts?

So, FILE - IMPORT PHOTOS AND VIDEO And then I import on my external hard drive. The thing that buggles my mind : At a certain point in the import, LR changes the color tempretaure of some some files !So, the first 63 first images imported are at the right temperature and then, all the rest is wrong. I went and open the CF files on the FINDER, and all the files are at the accurate color temperature on the card itself.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used the Lightroom beta 3.5 beta with CR 6.5 beta and now have installed the update of these two products. In beta I was able to open Phase One IQ raw files just fine but now with the 3.5 release I obtain a funny Magenta color cast that displays in the Library Mode and thumbnail but does not display in the Development Mode. This happens on both my Mac Laptop and workstation. Mac OS 10.6.8. I have not yet tried uninstalling LR and reinstalling, will do that next. The first image is in the Library mode after I have opened the file. The second is from the Development Mode. Notice how the tumbnail at the bottom remains constant but the small image on the left has changed in the Development mode to its natural look.
I should say that this color cast happens after I adjust the temperature settings of the image, not just from mearly opening it in Development.
i always wondered.... is there a reason why color lables are only stored in the catalog and not in the files xmp fields?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am porting some VBA to VB.Net.
Several of the modules do a ThisDrawing.SendCommand("_color" & vbCR) to popup the AutoCAD color picker, then process the response by doing a ThisDrawing.GetVariable("CECOLOR") to get the selected color.
With .Net, the SendCommand does not execute until the .Net program ends.
How can I get the AutoCAD color picker to popup inline in my code so I can get the user's selection?
We have about 1000 drawings with VBA code that copies information from the title block into the drawing file custom properties. We have done this to get the information into a ACAD block to meet our clients requirements. It is an autosave routine so it runs whenever the file is saved in Inventor. We would like to make a change to the VBA code so we need to replace the autosave routine in the file with another.
Manual steps are:
Open the file
Enter VBA editor
Delete the autosave routine (without exporting)
Import the new autosave routine
Exit the VBA editor
Save and close the file
I'm sure we would write a routine to do this. However the effort from scratch may be more that just manually processing the files.
Currently running IV 2010.
How to change the color of layer that will be used within a drawing files for special purposes.
Ideally the code will make the color Red, but change to Black prior to printing.
The "logic" behind the code currently is to differentiate a layer called "Burn" to a highly visible color for the purpose of review by others then, prior to printing, change the color to Black. The firm I'm currently working for uses gray-scale B sided printers only. The firm currently uses Blue for dimension and extension lines so to produce drawings that portray both type of objects "lightly".
I did some battery wraps for a company and they are being printed in China. The background is the default cmyk gradient "copper" and one is "silver" in AI. They are asking me to provide the Pantone or CMYK color code for these colors. Since they are a gradient I am not sure what to tell them.

I have found some code which extracts the part number from the iproperties of a model and adds it to the custom iproperties of a drawing but this will only work on iam or ipt files.
Here's the code, I added the lines referring to the docment type as an attempt to fix the error but it didn't work...

I have been shooting RAW for a while and have notice that after I import the images and then start to view them in the Library Module I will see a slight color and quality shift - almost looks like a white balance shift but not quite. I was thinking that perhaps there was some automatic preset being applied but I don't have any presets at all.
I am shooting with a Canon 1DX as well as 7D. I have not checked to see if I get this situation with the 7D, but I know for sure that I get it with the 1DX.
Today I was reviewing some images in Bridge and decided to open one of them in Camera RAW. At that time I discovered that the camera's Image Style Settings were available, Faithful, Standard, Portrait, etc. I noticed that the images did not have one of the camera styles applied to them but rather the Adobe Standard Style. At that point from within RAW I selected one of the camera's styles and bingo thats the kind of shift I am seeing when I first view an image in LR4 Library.
So as far as I can tell the RAW images are getting the Adobe Standard style applied in LR. I have no idea if this is a default behavior of if I have done something to cause it. I'm also thinking that perhaps LR does not necessarily apply the Camera's Styles automatically even though the particular style has been set in the camera -- perhaps is not imported as part of the metadata during the import and thus defaults to the Adobe Standard.
1. Should I expect LR4 to apply the Style as set from the camera automatically or not at all?
2. Can I prevent LR from applying the Adobe Standard Style and apply no style?
3. Can I cause LR to apply the Style as set in the camera for the particular image to be appied automatically upon import?
1. If you import an image with GPS data, Lightroom 4 will add appropriate values for Sublocation, City, State/Province, Country and Country Code. Is there a way to add this data to existing files while retaining history?
You can write metadata to files ([Ctrl][S]), remove those files from Lightroom and then synch folder to reimport them. That reimports them with all modified settings but without their history.
2. Is a google map link available for a GPS location of a photograph?
In Lightroom 3, you could click on the GPS location and that took you to a Google map page with a specific web link that you could then publish, eg on a blog. You can copy and paste the GPS location into a Google map page but that does not give you a web link you can use.
3. Is there a way of publishing a map?
Is there (or will there be) any way of exporting a map page, say as a jpeg?Is it OK to take a screen dump of a map page and publish it, eg in a blog?
My workflow includes renaming images based on capture date and country ISO code in 3 letter format. (see: http:[url].....
When importing files with geodata my "country" metadata is filled in 2 letter format. Is trere a way to chenge this in Lightroom 5? I would like to avoid renaming my old files.
When I try and export a photo in LR4 I get the following message:
"An internal error has ocurred: Win32 API error 2 (“The system cannot find the file specified.”) when calling ShellExecuteExW from AgWorkspace.shellExecute"
Even so, it does export the photo to the right directory.
What does this code mean?
I cannot get the correct code from Facebook to link to LR4. The publish manager displays the plug is installed and running, but then when I try to publish, I get a message from Internet Explorer and Firefox it does not know what to do with each particular protocol.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy product code is too short. I can't install Photoshop Lightroom 4.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm going to try this again. Using PS CC for photographers, that is Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5.x, new iMac running Mavericks.
Having processed an image in LR and PS, and saved as TIFF back to LR. All is well.
If and when I subsequently take the TIFF back into PS for further tweaks and again save as TIFF back to LR, replacing the original TIFF, I then get the Metadata Conflict warning, the exclamation mark.
As far as metadata goes, I don't want to lose what I did in LR....that is, keywords, color codes, captions, gps data, etc. I do want to retain the additional adjustments I made in PS.
I've noticed that when I choose to 'import settings from disc' that the color code disappears and I have to re-do it.
If I select the 'overwrite with LR settings' option, my concern is that I lose those PS adjustments.
My questions is: WHAT settings could have been changed in my round trip to PS that trigger the warning?
I got over 160 color corrected RAW files from my photographer when I thought I was getting TIf or PSD files. I need to put them into an in design doc to send out for printing. Is there a way to convert all of these in one fell swoop without messing up the work that has already been done?
I didn't allow in my timing to save each one individually since i didn't know I was going to need to do this. I am really unfamiliar with batch processing, so how to best go about this, or if I even can. I am working in Photoshop CS6. version 13.06 x 64.
