CorelDRAW X4 :: Printing Spot Color Seps With Color Name On Each Page
Dec 23, 2011We print out spot color seps every day using CorelDraw X4. After we print out the plates, I have to cut down the vellum that we print on so that we do not have a bunch of extra blank vellum on the sheet.
We make use of the info that is printed on the lower left of every page where it states something like the following:
S:DirectoryWhereTheArtworkisLocatedfilename.cdr

After I cut down the sheet, I then have to hand write the name of the spot color onto the sheet of vellum in marker.
Is there any way at all, to make it so that CorelDraw would actually add the name of the spot color that is printed on each page to the information that is already being printed to the lower left? Ideally, it could be placed in the same area where it's already printing the plate information on the last line.
Could it read:

Oct 21, 2012I've just started to use color labels and I noticed that in grid view some show up as a pale color and some show up as a darker color even when set to the same label color. I can't find a rhyme or reason to this. Why this happens?

Photoshop :: Web Hex Code To Match Up Color In Logo
Sep 30, 2012I used a web hex code to match up a color in a logo. (8700ff). However, now that i am in the process of designing its seems that my PS hex values are not the same as web hex values. Is there a setting that i need to get into to make these match?
Look at the words '' SILVER & HD CAMERAS '' as compared to the words '' The Buffalo Nickle ''. These both are set at a hex value of 8700ff. The color of "HD CAMERA" is correctly matching the site logo which was made in PS cs5. But the sites interpretation of that same Hex value is different.

May 12, 2013I have managed to perform a stress analysis on a part (which only 1/4 of it is shown due to its symmetry). Upon running the simulation and displaying the results for Von Mises Stress, all the part has been fully colored in blue, and there are no signs of any red areas. However, the bar line on the left still indicates that there are areas which are highly stressed. I'm now confused weather if there any areas of the part are exhbiting this type of stress, and if yes, how can I locate the most highly stressed parts?

Several of the modules do a ThisDrawing.SendCommand("_color" & vbCR) to popup the AutoCAD color picker, then process the response by doing a ThisDrawing.GetVariable("CECOLOR") to get the selected color.
With .Net, the SendCommand does not execute until the .Net program ends.
How can I get the AutoCAD color picker to popup inline in my code so I can get the user's selection?

Ideally the code will make the color Red, but change to Black prior to printing.
The "logic" behind the code currently is to differentiate a layer called "Burn" to a highly visible color for the purpose of review by others then, prior to printing, change the color to Black. The firm I'm currently working for uses gray-scale B sided printers only. The firm currently uses Blue for dimension and extension lines so to produce drawings that portray both type of objects "lightly".

Jun 2, 2012I did some battery wraps for a company and they are being printed in China. The background is the default cmyk gradient "copper" and one is "silver" in AI. They are asking me to provide the Pantone or CMYK color code for these colors. Since they are a gradient I am not sure what to tell them.

Dec 11, 2011The color of the paper space outside of the page layout is a gray-white very bright that would not allow the white lines and white letters to be seen. I have looked at the Options dialog to see if that color can be changed, but I could not find the name of that area outside the per layout ( I have my paper layout to black, which is fine, but I do not know how to change the areas outside the paper). This bright color came with AutoCAD 2012.

Apr 5, 2013If I draw a box in illustrator and fill it with pms 180 it's bright orange. When I do the same thing in photoshop it's red (which is much closer to the actual color). I've synched all of my color settings in bridge but that doesn't make any difference. When I copy the image from illustrator and paste it into photoshop it's still orange. And when I save it as a pdf or export it as a jpeg, it's still orange. I can make it look red in illustrator by switching to overprint preview, but that doesn't do my any good. When I send this file to my client.

Jan 29, 2012I am making a logo design to be printed on a t-shirt. When I make the logo I am making it on an 11” x 8.5” paper size. The logo is not rectangular. When I save the logo as a pdf file, the page background is showing. I also convert the pdf file to a jpg file and the white background shows. I went in and changed the page background to No Background, It did not work. I went to Options>Page size and turned off the Show Page Border, it did not work.
