Is there a trick to getting the new Color Range selection function to work on a retina Mac Book Pro? I am quite familiar with the color range selection in the previous version of Photoshop, and used it regularly. I've decided to try as simply as possible by using a flat image (no layers), and trying to select colors. I've increased the contrast in the image to make dark and lights much easier to pull out.
I've explored setting the sample size to point-sample up to 3x3, and 5x5. I've also set the resolution of my display to 2880 x 1800 (to reduce the possibility of anti-aliasing problems). It will not make any selection though, using the eye-dropper sample. Using other options will work, such as Highlights, Shadows, Skin Tones, etc., but it won't do anything with Sampled Colors.
I am thinking of buying a Macbook Pro with Retina Display.
I am wondering if Photoshop Elements 11 will work OK with this as I have heard there is a problem. how to make them compatible. I really don't need anything more complicated than elements for what I do so don't want to spend out on one of the CS programmes.
In photoshop elements 11, in a photo collage, in graphic tab, how do i change the background to a color in the color wheel?
Same thing for the graphics, i only have 6 choices, i want to add a graphic stored on my pc or other ones in the program.
In photoshop elements 11, in a photo book, page 2 and 3 are stored as one image, and have to have the same background color, and layout, how do i change that?
I can use the font scrolling in illustrator, this works on a desktop mac. but can't seem to get it to work. tried unchecking enable missing glyph protection. and still doesn't work. What can I do to fix it, i know this works on mac but somehow my laptop wont work.
Occasionally when I try to zoom with the mouse wheel it just won't let me to. I have to pan around and then it'll let me zoom again. That's extremely irritating. I've never encountered such problem in previous versions of Max. I have the service pack and both hotfixes installed.
The wheel as a pan tool was good the other day, but today when I opened CAD, it did not work anymore, there was no pan tool appearing when holding the wheel of the mouse. It is rather strange!! Then I searched the internet and resetted it by input command " Mbuttonpan---- 1-----enter", But there was no change.
Is it possible to change the color of the work area, in PhotoShop Elements 10, from dark grey to light grey. And....maybe do a contrasting Font color for the Toolbar ?
Accustomed to Element 5. New to 9. How do i change workspace color? I don't like the grey and black backgrounds or headers. All is too dark and it's distracting.
When trying to orbit while pressing the mouse wheel & holding shift nothing happens. I have looked into CUI and everything is set up correctly under mouse buttons. Clicking on the navigation wheel allows me to orbit but using shift and mouse is so much quicker. I have just upgraded to AutoCAD 2013 perhaps that is the problem?
what is still missing in smoke is having the color wheel while picking a color. The color wheel will enable us to pick any color straight from the wheel , it's much faster rather than trying to mix the desired color using RGB combination. it will be cool to see this feature in next release.
I need to make a color wheel, like the attached, but with 24 segments.
How do I make the indivudal segments? If I could just get the first one figured out, I reckon I can copy it and use free transform to rotate it 15 degrees, fill it with the new color, repeat, repeat, repeat. But I don't know how to make the shape.
there are 2 types of color wheel used for making color schemes, one is R-G-B color wheel where Red Green and Blue colors are 120 degrees apaert, which is easy to make with spectrum gradients in photoshop,
other one is traditional R-Y-B color wheel where red yellow and blue colors are 120 degrees apart,
how to make that tradtional R-Y-B color wheel in photoshop? i tried so hard, it doesnt come accurately and involves lots of mathematical calculations ?
I need this wheel changed from chrome to black so i can decide if i want to get them powdercoated. getting it changed to a satin black would be best. low gloss would work too. just to simulate a powdercoating.
where I could view/download a comprehensive color wheel or color flow (color making) chart? I'm looking for something that says/depicts "yellow + blue = green, black + white = gray" etc. etc.
I used to have a color flow chart that depicted what colrs made what, and it was very handy--told me what colors made flesh tones, shades, tints, nuetrals, opposites, what 3 colors made 1 color etc., but I've lost it somewhere along the line.
ACA12 - the mouse wheel doesn't work on many of the dropdowns anymore? Is this an 'improvement' or is there a new variable I need to learn to turn it back on.
Do autodesk have only 12 fonts on their machine? Why is the text style font name drop boxes so tiny? Makes it real time consuming to select a font when you have lots of fonts as I'd imagine most machines have.
II can't get down is color changing and wheel chops. I can do both but they dont look very good. So, I was wondering if anyone could post their own tutorial per say, on how you guys select and then what you do to get the colors just right and looking good, and the same for wheel chops if you would.
Im specifically trying to go from a darker color. Like red or black to a brighter color like yellow or orange.
Was always able to print multiple photos with borders/effects etc using a Dell computer but unable to do this with Mac Book Pro 15 inch. Firstly it directs me to "Editor"( i.e.unable to print from "Organiser ) but canot find "Picture Package".
When I bought my old stationary PC I got a bundled version of Elements 9 (Photoshop and Premiere) with it. Since then I mainly use a Macbook for most of my media production and now of course I'd like to be able to move my Elements license to my Macbook.
There's a color wheel panel for Photoshop named Magic Picker that sits in the Window -> Extensions -> Magic Picker menu. Is there a way to assign it a keyboard shortcut? I found no way to do it in the Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts.
Former user of Photoshop Deluxe on an iMac looking for the simplest explanation of how to use Elements 8.0 on a MacBook Pro. For my purposes, Elements is too "advanced". No doubt, after time and practice, I can use these advanced elements, but for starters, I'd like to use the elements I am most familiar with from Photoshop Deluxe. I've been "told" that there is a way to use Elements in a less advanced way, but due to a combination of feeblemindedness and laziness, I'm looking for a shortcut that will suit my loss of gray matter.
I found out about DPI, i had to have this project finished in 300DPI for the printer. I have never used DPI settings and didn't know what it was until I was told I needed to change all 4 pages of the invitation I created for work to 300DPI from my original 72dpi.
I created the files all 9x6 inches - I changed the DPI on the already finished documents and the image BLEW UP larger WAY larger then 9x6, but he said this was correct.
2 Questions
Was the File Still 9x6 Inches, and if you change the DPI after the document was created in a lower DPI will the document still be crisp as can be (no including any images that were NOT created with photoshop such as images from camera, which I re-added so they were fine.)
I downloaded the newest version of Paint.net and can't locate the color wheel. On the previous edition it was located on the bottom left corner of the page. Where do I find it?
