Jul 22, 2013If I place a point on an image and then make 10 adjustments is there a way to view how the color sample will change with each adjustment?
Right now I have to go back to the individual 'bg' layer I will call it to view the new color info after the adjustments have been made. I would like to see how the color info is changing for the layer the adjustment is being made to WHILE making the adjustments.

For instance, I have a vector object selected and the Transform Panel has "80 in" for the width value and the Info Panel shows "96.8654 in". Height is likewise screwy.

Oct 6, 2008I'm adjusting RGB images in CMYK preview mode using custom ICC profiles. In taking a color sample measurement using Color Sampler tool and Info Window, I can have the sample data display in RGB, CMYK or whatever.
Is there a way to get each sample to display both RGB and CMYK numbers side by side?? This would be very helpful when 'correcting by the numbers'.

Jun 12, 2009In Photoshop CS4 I have placed a color sampler/eye dropper crosshair on my RGB image. This shows what the color values are for that section of the image in the info palette. When I adjust curves on a layer, it changes the values of the color sampler to the values of the layer I am adjusting alone, thus preventing me from matching a color using curves and the color sampler. I have been through the preferences and opened every fly-out I could find on the info palette, and the curves dialog box, but have not found a selection that says "Sample all layers" anywhere. I am simply trying to show the values under the color sampler for all layers, similar to the functionality that existed in previous versions of photoshop.

AND, by holding some combination of shift/ctrl/alt and clicking the color sample, the values would transfer to the red,green, and blue layers of my curves layer. From there I could make adjustments...
In CS4 I'm trying to do this, and I can't get it to work... It isn't the same as using the eyedroppers on the curve OR the hand above the eyedroppers. It actually copied the color sample values onto the individual color channels.....
How do I do this in CS4?

I take a photo with the smartphone of a book page. I need two hands for this. The page does not lies flat (see [URL].... because no more hands available to keep the page flat (and no glass sheet at hand...). Using the cage tool with 3 nodes above and 3 below the text produces an acceptable result see [URL]....
Question: Is there any better method? Any GIMP plugin or even Android app to solve this problem?
I can trace the deformed rectangle that enclose the page text, but then I don't know how to pass this info to the cage tool and ask to make it a real rectangle.
Photoshop :: CS6 Color Sampler Cursor Hotspot Inconsistent With Rest?
Jul 9, 2012I don't use the Color Sampler Tool much, but In checking something for another thread, I noticed the cursor now seems inconsistent with the cursors of the other tools.Basically, I expected it to drop the sampler on the little crosshair, and it dropped it instead at the end of the dropper.
This used to make sense, and it's still consistent with the Eyedropper cursor (and with prior versions of Photoshop). But I find that now I've gotten used to the other new cursors, most of which now define the hot spot at the upper-left, it didn't do what was expected.

Illustrator :: Get Info Panel To Update When Using Guidelines In CS6?
May 15, 2012I'm using lynda.com "Essentials" to learn the product (CS6).
The tutorial shows you how to accurately line up guidelines by using the Info panel. However for me the info panel "locks" as soon as I select a guideline from the ruler and drag it onto the artboard. It only starts updating when I move my mouse off the guideline - which makes it useless.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug introduced since Adobe CS6 was first released? (I noticed there was an update this morning - 15th May 2012 - which I've applied)
Illustrator :: Why Doesn't Layers Panel Have Any Info
Jul 2, 2012Thus far I have just one Layer. I went to Window > Layer so that the pallete would be open. However, there's no information in it. Only when I move it does the layer info show up.I've never had this problem before. All I did was create a New Layer > Drew Circle > added a Gradient and then went to look at the layers pallete but nothing.
What to do to turn it back on. Also, I have tried shutting down Illustrator, tried a New File and have shut down my pc but nothing seems to bring back the info in the layers palette.

Aug 28, 2012I have CS5. The bugs and broken features in AICS6, make it unusable in my workflow.
I am specifically concerned about the inability to drag global color swatches from the color panel to Gradient stops in the Gradient Panel. I use this method to update a gradient color because I find it MUCH faster than option-dragging to duplicate a stop color, then deleting the unused stop. Since I do this constantly, I find using CS6 very tedious.
Photoshop Elements :: Does WB Info Show In Metadata
Jan 1, 2014I have a Canon Rebel T3. I switch the camera's white balance depending on the lighting. But when i go to review the files, nothing in the metadata shows what white balance I shot it in. This applies to both jpeg and raw pictures.
It would be nice to see this info so I can compare which settings looked better.
Does Elements 11 show this data anywhere?
Illustrator :: Ruler And Info Panel Give Different Pixel Dimensions
May 26, 2012The pixel dimensions in Illustrator CS5's Info panel are wrong.I have a web layout in Illustrator that I'm transposing into Adobe Muse, using Save for Web and Devices.
I want to use the X and Y coordinates and the dimensions of the objects in Illustrator to place them correctly in Muse, so that all the elements scale to the right size.
The Illustrator artboard is 960 pixels wide and the layout fits the artboard. Similarly, the site width in Muse is 960px wide.The measuring units are in pixels in Illustrator, but something very strange is going on.in the Info panel, a grouped object - a logo - is described as 16383 pixels wide and 211px high.
It's simply not possible, not least because the logo is taller than it is wide. But when I measure it with the ruler tool, it tells me that the logo is 136px high and 122px wide.
The problem only applies to this grouped object and it's not because it's grouped with some other thing that is 16383 pixels wide - the bounding box fits precisely round the logo when it is selected.
Illustrator :: Default Increment For X And Y Values In Control Panel?
May 17, 2012Is there a way to change the default increment for the X and Y value boxes in the Transform area of the Control panel? When I have an object selected and want to move the object by clicking the arrows beside the X and Y boxes the object moves 1/8 inch for each click. Is there a way to set that to 1/16 inch for example?
A screen grab is attached showing the area on the Control panel in question. I've checked all the Preferences settings I can find but haven't found this one yet.

May 5, 2012I shoot in raw, I import into lightroom by doing a sync folder. Then I edit my picture using photoshop cs6. I save it as a jpeg. Finally I export this image as a jpeg to a sub folder called Publish, which means its ready for the web. problem is when i look at image in lightroom on the right side the histogram has no details, it wont show iso, fstop or anything. if I look at my original RAW file i can see the exif info in the histogram but on my final exported image its all gone.
furthmore it looses all its tags and meta data, I have to copy the metadata back to this file. it would be nice if lightroom would reinsert the meta info and exif once its reimported into lightroom.

I dont do any freehand work and always require pixel precision, also I work with small resolutions <600px at 72dpi/16bit.
How the heck do I kill anti-aliasing, when i set the brush to 1px I only want 1px!?
I have 272x480, 72dpi/16bit image and 2px from the edges I want a 4px border.
(path, drop shadow, inner glow, bev & emb, color overlay, stroke) then I want to bisect it in a number of locations. The problem is I cant do perfect pixle placement and get ugly overlapping. Last program I used I would select path and throw in x,y in all the locations I would want, then select the corner and bevel it to whatever I want. Using the rounded rect tool is nothing but a headache.

Oct 17, 2013If I select an info point by shift-clicking on the image while the Threshold adjustment dialog is open, then I have access to the point as long as the dialog is still open. However, when the dialog closes the selected info point is discarded, i.e. no longer visible on the image as an info point and gone from the Info palette.

Lightroom :: Edits Won't Show In Develop Panel?
Dec 10, 2013I just purchased Lightroom 5.2 and am trying to edit without success. In the Develop panel, I can see and use any of the edit adjustments/sliders on the right. The edits are visible in the small photo in the filmstrip area at the bottom of the page but no changes occur to the main screen image as they are applied. Behavior is the same regardless of file type (.jpg or .NEF).
The photos will accept edits in the Library panel (quick edits) and apply/display them to the main screen image.
Lightroom :: Panel Sections Auto Show?

They close automatically when I go to use another section...collections instead of files, eg. But then I have to open section again manually when going back. Very tedious. Aug 26, 2011I have an app on my iPod called "Photoshop Express", and it has the simple option of 'Tint', which will tint the image the color you want (red, green, etc.). How do you do this on normal, desktop Photoshop?
No fancy "how I like it", I want just the image to be tinted red, or green, or blue, and the image have the color info, meaning if I convert it to Black and White, you could tell a difference in lightness and darkness from the original picture (you can tell it was tinted).
