If I select an info point by shift-clicking on the image while the Threshold adjustment dialog is open, then I have access to the point as long as the dialog is still open. However, when the dialog closes the selected info point is discarded, i.e. no longer visible on the image as an info point and gone from the Info palette.
View 7 RepliesI have an app on my iPod called "Photoshop Express", and it has the simple option of 'Tint', which will tint the image the color you want (red, green, etc.). How do you do this on normal, desktop Photoshop?
No fancy "how I like it", I want just the image to be tinted red, or green, or blue, and the image have the color info, meaning if I convert it to Black and White, you could tell a difference in lightness and darkness from the original picture (you can tell it was tinted).
Is it possible to make the color sampler tool show hsv values in the info panel instead of rgb?
View 10 Replies View RelatedA colleague of mine made the stupid mistake of using an unauthorized personal computer to save a work file, but she used an educational-licensed AutoCAD.
We do use legally purchsed and registered ACAD 2012 in the office. However, as expected, the file has been marked as being made by an educational version of ACAD and, therefore, cannot be sent back to our client.
A superficial search shows the solution as saving to dxf and back to dwg.
However -and herein lies my problem- when I save as dxf, the following error occurs:
"Error in LTYPE Table
Linetype name with vertical bar is not marked dependent on line 9540.
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.
Press ENTER to continue:"
And then nothing happens. I used both the "save as" features, as well as the "dxf out/in" and, since both seem to be the same, neither worked.
Why can’t I find the color profile info in the library ? It’s sometimes necessary to convert to sRGB for some applications ( internet, some beamers in clubs,…). I convert them but afterwards it is nice to have the possibility to check this out and should be possible in lightroom, the info is present why not showing it ( it is not so easy to go in finder and look at it in info for every image)? Since I’m always working in Adobe profile for printing and so this is important to know !

I've been trying but I keep getting an error message that reads "Every Clip was Discarded: Max Depth:1"
I know the VTR is working because I was able to capture in Smoke.
I get the above error message when i try to open a DXF file which was exported from LSS. The survey data from TPS seems to export fine, but the GPS data won't open.
I've read the previous posts on this error messages, but most seem to be relevant to autocad 2007. However tried the remedy suggested (through MS word) but that didn't work.

I'm adjusting RGB images in CMYK preview mode using custom ICC profiles. In taking a color sample measurement using Color Sampler tool and Info Window, I can have the sample data display in RGB, CMYK or whatever.
Is there a way to get each sample to display both RGB and CMYK numbers side by side?? This would be very helpful when 'correcting by the numbers'.
How can I remove color sample points in Photoshop CC. Didn't there used to be a clear button on the toolbar of the eyedropper tool?

I'm working with a point cloud in 2013. The color comes in when I convert to .pcg and import into Revit. But I can't get the color to display in CAD. I've heard it may be a visual style problem, or a setting in my hardware acceleration, but nothing seems to work.

I have been inserting a point cloud with RGB color but when it comes in, I get no color. The preview window show it in color, the details say YES that color is attached but all I get is a plain white point cloud. The Visualization panel is lit up and I can change from scan color to intensity and back. It looks like it is working but I get zero change to my cloud.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a block tha I use in a point label style. All of the block entities are on layer 0. The label style is also set to layer 0 so that it get on the same layer as the point. I've tried setting the block color in the label at by layer and by block. When a drawing that contains this label style is XREF'ed into another drawing, the block in the label always takes on the color of the current layer.

edit: I attached an example. The top figure is the point with the block in the label and the bottom is just the block itself.
We have survey files that we xref into our design files. In the survey files themselves, the points don't change color. When we xref them in, the point markers (only the circular node on the actual point, not the line coming off of it) take on the color of whatever the current layer is in the drawing, only fixable by changing the current letter and regenerating.

The reason for this is - I am a CAD tech for a welding shop and we cut parts out of steel and we use the dxf file format for our plasma table to cut parts. For example : if i have a 1 inch thick plate and want to put a 3/4'' hole in the plate the hole will be distorted because the hole is smaller than the material thickness. For these situation we can use the plasma table to burn a point or a dot on the center point of the hole. But to do this the point or dot must be on a different layer in the dxf.

I'm trying to draw a plan of my house in Autocad 2009 but I seem to be endlessly using trim and extend because I can't easily select the points that I want with osnap. Eg. imagine I have a box, and I want to start drawing another box inside it that has each side as 10 units smaller than the corresponding side on the outer box.
Step 1 - I draw a small line from the top left corner of the big box using the endpoint snap, typing in "5" for the length.
Step 2 - I then do the same at right angles to the first line to get me to the starting point of the inner box. This always leaves me with 2 small lines to remember to delete.
Step 3 - Then in order to draw the top line of the inner box I end up drawing to a random length because I can't say "draw until 5 units away from the right hand side of the big box", then I end up trimming it later once I've repeated steps 1,2 and 3 for the next side of the inner box.
I know in my example above I could have scaled the box down or something but that's not what I'm getting at. I really want a way of selecting line start and end points that are a known position away from an existing point.
I have a database of points I am trying to import, and the point data for each point includes a hyperlink. I've created a set of custom User-Defined Property Classifications for all the data types in the point database, and I've created a point file format to use to import the points.
It's a database of existing curb ramps, the data includes things like widths, slopes, some text, and a hyperlink to the Google Streetview at each ramp. I've created a custom point label that will show the data I need to see at each ramp.
All goes great except that the import fails because of the hyperlinks. I've tested it by removing the hyperlinks from a small test portion of the data set, and the test points are then successfully imported. I suppose I can delete the hyperlinks from the entire database, but if there is a way to include the hyperlinks in the point import I would prefer that.
