Oct 13, 2013I have lost all changes that I made in the develop module. Most of these photos where stacked with the raw copy on top of the jpeg. Then I had picked the ones I liked and make changes to them in the develop module. Then I and changed them to DNG. This was over two weeks ago and I think I was trying to put them in to a collection. Now all I see is the originals as they appeared on the day they where imported.

Sep 19, 2013Running LR 5 under Win 7 Ultimate. System has been stable for ages now suddenly whenever I enter the develop module I get a crash with the hint that CameraRAW.dll is to blame. Updated to v5.2, same results. Tried old v4.4, again same crash. All other modules are working fine, just can't enter develop. We have tried reinstalling and changing monitor configurations all to no avail.

AutoCad :: Changing Line Weights / Layout Space To Make Changes Permanent
Jan 7, 2014I need changing the line weights.I was given an AutoCAD 2009 file that already had the drawing created. In the Model space, the drawing has been created on Layer 0. Some of the other lines have a different layer - but most of it is created on Layer 0.My manager has asked me to simply make some of the lines bold and leave the rest as is.
When I turn on the LWT button at the bottom of my program, the line weight is extremely bold (shows "By Layer" for the line weight). I have gone back to each layer to select a thinner line weight and saved the drawing. However, when I go to print, the line weight defaults back to the “By Layer” line weight.
do I need to be in Layout space to make these changes permanent?
I have then created a new layer (with a new colour) and selected my preferred line weight – and changed the lines that I want to be thicker, to the new layer I created. When I go to print, I went into my printer settings and insured that the new layer I created and colour has the preferred line weight I want. However, when I preview my drawing, it has made all the other layers thicker, and the ones I want thinner.
Should I follow the previous forums and threads using the pline and pline edit?

The missing controls are the sliders for exposure, contrast, clarity, etc. I must have inadvertantly clicked something that made them disappear but nothing I've tried brings them back. I've never had this experience in the years I've been using Lightroom (since version 1.1).

Mar 11, 2012Working on raw files, when I right-click the raw file in the filmstrip to 'edit in CS5', sometimes a box appears asking me if I want to edit with the changes made in LR4, other times I dont get the box and my file goes directly to CS5 but without the changes. Why don't I get the option to edit with changes everytime I want to edit in photoshop? Also, sometimes it seems even when it does import, some things like split toning changes are not included.

I wanted to test my assumption DNG is a DNG and that changes made to a DNG in LR4 would be visible in LR3, so I made changes to a DNG in Lightroom 4, clicked Update DNG Preview and Metadata and then exported that file as a DNG. I imported that DNG into a different Lightroom 3 catalog and the changes were not visible, even after choosing Read Metadata from File. Those same DNG changes were not visible in Bridge either. The changes are visible in the Finder, but not in Preview. how I can make Lightroom 3 recognize the DNG changes made in LR4?

Oct 2, 2013where I mainly want a conclusive answer: How do I manage Lightroom photos when using 2 computers, keeping all edits made on either one of them, using the same photos for editing. I won't use DNG. Details: I mainly use my older MacBook Pro, but would like to be able to use my PC as it's way better (Specs: i5 2500K, 16GB RAM, SSD, USB3, nVidia GTX 560 TI etc.). I have 2 external HDs that I could use, one for Backup and one for the actual Photos/Edits. I'll probably need to use it as my internal HDs are quite full, and I can't just delete stuff or move it to an (Developer programs, Lossless music, etc.).
Based on this, how do I back up the whole thing e.g. Photos folder (all photos and edits, and preferably presets too)?

When I start in Lightroom with an image, then take it to Photoshop to do some work with liquify, save it, return to Lightroom... Lightroom is not acknowledging the new changes made in Photoshop. Feb 5, 2013I've just inherited a 500GB HDD from my Dad and I'd love to be able to work all his photos through LR, although there's no way I'm sitting there and importing each and every directory!
As Google Picasa can be told to monitor a directory (eg My Pictures) and each time a new directory or directories are added, on startup it scans for and locates these new dirs and imports the pictures.
Can LR3 be set up to do this please as it would save me hours if I could just leave it overnight to import all of his pics straight into LR.
Lightroom :: Installed Bad ICM Profile And Made Printing Worse Instead Of Better
Dec 16, 2012I installed an ICM profile from Red River paper in attempt to improve printing from LR by allowing LR to manage colors. Probably should not have done this because I am using Canon s9000 printer and Canon paper but I could not find Canon profiles anywhere on internet (for this printer). In any case, end result is horrific but I can't "reset" or uninstall.
Do I need to reinstall LR and photoshop to fix this? More likely this is now somewhere in Windows but I have already tried to delete everywhere I could find.

May 26, 2013I am trying to get a NEF files made on a Nikon D800E to Import to Lightroom 4.4 with Camera raw 7.4. I get an error that states the following files were not imported because they could not be read.
I can import them to Photoshop CS6 and use them in photoshop but cannot find any way to get them into Lightroom. For a while my photos were partially importing and some NEF files werent on the first few tries (but subsequently did). I have updated LR, updated Camera RAW, updated the MAC operating system, and have a newer version of PS (CS6). I have tried from the camera directly and through a card reader with multiple cards but nothing works.
