View 4 RepliesI'm trying to create links from a webpage to specific spots in a pdf. I can get it to work perfectly if I create the hyperlink destinations in the pdf, using the Acrobat software. However, I was told you can create the hyperlink destinations in InDesign, then export the pdf, which I'd like to do because the InDesign original is going to change a lot, and then I wouldn't have to recreate all the destinations every time it's updated. When I try it, though, I can't get the webpage link to go to the destination, only to the top of the pdf.
I'm in CS3 and Windows.
Is there a workflow to transfer a booklet created in InDesign into Designer Pro?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created an interactive form in InDesign CC and do not like the check marks as they are not visible enough. Can I globally change the check marks to "X" marks?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOne of the features I was really looking forward to in CS6 was creating fillable forms with ONE application. I created a form following the step by step instructions in classroom in a book for CS6. When I opened the exported form in Reader X, I get a "This operation is not permitted" error. I opened the completed "end" document in the lesson to make sure I didn't commit an error, and I got the same message when exporting. I have looked for places in menus to modify security restrictions and I can't find any. I installed the updates and that didn't solve the issue.
I saw one solution posted which is to open the document in Acrobat, then do a "save as" option. Is there anything we can do that doesn't involve buying additional software? If this is not the case, then Adobe seriously needs to change its training and advertising about this functionality.
My computer's power source failed and turned off while an Indesign CS5.5 file is open. Now trying to access the file, my computer (a mac) thinks it's still open. I'd like to either "close" down the file my computer thinks is open or delete the file (I have good copy on an external hard drive).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am a CC member. I have Indesign on my mac note book and my PC desktop. There is a compatibility issue between them. The mac version appears to be still ver 8.0.2 while the PC version has upgraded to ver 9.2 and the mac wont open files from the PC. This sort of defeats the whole purpose of joining CC, which was compatibility between all our machines at work. When the mac CC version 9.2 of indesign will release and any work arounds. I know about saving as the idml thing but it is so clumsy. We want to be flicking the documnet back and forth.

Are you able to open Indesign files in CS3?
I am considering upgrading.
I need to work with InDesign files but don't have the software. I was hoping to be able to open it in Photoshop and still have the layers to work with.

View 5 Replies View RelatedEarlier this year, I was still using CS3. I created a bunch of original TIFF files, and modified files which had been created in CS1. When I am having to go back and reference these CS3 TIFFs, some of them are giving me an error message and refusing to open. Evidently, they are not compatible with CS6?
I have since uninstalled CS3, but the box is sitting on the shelf if I need it (which I am hoping I don't). Any workaround - preferably one which will not destroy my layers.
I've got rather weird problem. PS CC on the desktop can't open PS CC .psd files created on my laptop (and vice versa) due to compatibility problems. The same relates to the .tif files. It's not corruption of the files, it's happening to every new-written file I try to move between computers. The problem appeared today, during the weekend everything was fine and I changed nothing.

What I want to do is put the image on a flash drive and take it somewhere to have it printed in photo quality (my printer won't do it). But like I said the image will only open using paint.net and I'm guessing that if I put it on a flash drive as it is now, it will still ask for paint.net to open where ever I take it.So how do I change it to a jpeg or something else where it will open on it's own and be able to be printed somewhere without paint.net?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have found the perfect editable magazine template but it's an InDesign file.
Is it possible to open and edit this in Photoshop CS6. I would need to be able to drop in my own images and replace all the text without compromising the existing design, can this be done with my very basic skills?
I had with exporting Autocad files to Photoshop. Now I would like to submit the following question: I have made several attempts to get my Autocad drawings into Adobe InDesign, but the results are highly unsatisfying. I suppose that the EPS format is the right way to do it, but the results I get when I open the EPS files in InDesign are very poor (no sharp lines etc.)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI created a file in Illustrator CS6 (v. 16.0.0), and saved it as an (editable) PDF. When I try to reopen that same PDF inside Illustrator CS6, however, I get a "Could Not Open The File" error. The file opens in Acrobat just fine, but I need to continue editing/working on it. Opening it in 5.1 works but it's all flat and not ideal for editing. Renaming the extension to .eps or .ai didn't work, either. I also looked into potential font conflicts (none) and restarted my Mac (OS 10.7.5) to no avail.
